Wed Apr 18 201201:09Placido Polanco goes hitless in loss
Placido Polanco went 0-for-4 and struck out for the sixth time already this season on Tuesday.
Six strikeouts may not seem like much, but it's a lot for Polanco in 39 at-bats. Polanco has never fanned as many as 50 times in a season, and while it's still a very small sample, he's striking out at twice his career rate right now. Considering he already appeared to be an injury-propelled decline last year, it's worth wondering how much he has left at age 36.
