Tue Jun 17 201423:50Gonzalez struggles but earns win in return
Miguel Gonzalez fought his way through five innings to earn the win Tuesday, allowing four runs on eight hits against the Rays.
In his first start since returning from an oblique injury, Gonzalez struggled but was able to hold on long enough to earn his fourth win. The right-hander gave up four extra-base hits, including two solo home runs, among his eight hits allowed. He also walked two while striking out five, needing 95 pitches to get through five innings. It was the first time Gonzalez has allowed more than three earned runs since his first start of the season. With the rust off, Gonzalez should be sharper against the White Sox on Monday.

Sun May 25 201417:30Gonzalez continues rolling in win over Tribe
Miguel Gonzalez allowed two runs over six innings in a win over the Indians on Sunday.
Fours were wild, as Gonzalez walked four, gave up four hits and struck out four in the game. The win was his second straight to move to 3-3 and he's allowed six earned runs in 19 innings over his past three starts. The strong stretch has lowered his ERA to 4.35. He's got a wonderful chance to keep bringing that ERA down when he faces the Astros in Houston on Friday.

Tue May 20 201422:21Gonzalez halts the Pirates to pick up 2nd win
Miguel Gonzalez picked up the win, allowing two runs in six innings as the Orioles defeated the Pirates 9-2 on Tuesday.
Gonzalez, making a return to the rotation, worked around a bunch of singles to limit the damage against the Pirates. He allowed seven hits, walked none, and struck out seven. His first start of the season aside, Gonzalez has been reliable out of the rotation and Tuesday's effort should help restore the team's confidence in him. Gonzalez now has a 4.53 ERA with a 42/15 K/BB ratio in 45 2/3 innings. He'll face the Indians at home in his next start.

Fri May 16 201408:44Miguel Gonzalez expected to rejoin rotation
Orioles manager Buck Showalter said Thursday that he's leaning toward having Miguel Gonzalez make a start next next week's series in Pittsburgh.
Gonzalez was moved to the bullpen this week in favor of Kevin Gausman, but Gausman is now back at Triple-A and it appears Gonzalez has his rotation spot back. The 29-year-old holds a 4.76 ERA this season, but he put up a 3.58 mark over the previous two years and probably deserves a shot to work through his issues.

Sun Apr 27 201416:47Gonzalez gives up four in loss to Royals Sun.
Miguel Gonzalez allowed four runs -- three earned -- over six innings in a loss to the Royals on Sunday.
Gonzalez was a victim of an Adam Jones error that put a run on the board after two batters, and the only real mistake he made on the afternoon was a two-run double by Omar Infante. He allowed six hits and a walk on the afternoon, striking out four. The loss drops him to 1-2 with a 5.19 ERA and 1.42 WHIP on the year. Some off days mean Gonzalez won't get back on the mound until next Sunday at the Twins.
