Cole contributed 15 points, four rebounds, four assists, and one block in 37 minutes as a starter Sunday against the Celtics.
Cole started for the injured Dwyane Wade (knee) but it's unclear if he'll remain in the lineup when Wade returns. He had been the starting point guard for a bulk of the season so far, but has been consistently outperformed by Mario Chalmers. Cole remains an option only in the deepest of leagues at this point.

Cole will return to the starting lineup Sunday against the Celtics.
Cole was moved to the bench Friday against Washington, but he'll return to the starting five with Dwyane Wade (knee) sidelined. Mario Chalmers will join him in the backcourt, so it's not immediately clear which of the two would have come off the bench were Wade healthy.

Cole was relegated to a role off the bench against the Wizards on Friday, although he still managed to play 31 minutes and was able to put up seven points, two rebounds, four assists, and two steals.
It's still unclear whether or not this move to the bench is permanent, or whether coach Erik Spoelstra used Mario Chalmers as the starter to match-up against the versatile opponent of John Wall. Either way, Chalmers only played five more minutes than Cole on Friday, so their opportunities to produce will likely be relatively equal regardless of who starts.

Cole needed to play heavy minutes for a depleted Heat team that needed all the help they could get. He finished with 10 points (3-10 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six points, five rebounds, and three steals in 40 minutes on Sunday.
Cole had plenty of opportunities to shoot the ball against the Bulls, but he wasn't able to get much of anything going. He's a very streaky player and is still in a minutes battle with Mario Chalmers this season. Because of this Cole is a player for those in deeper leagues until he can prove he's a viable player on a night-to-night basis.

Cole scored six points (3-8 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 0-2 FT) and added eight rebounds, eight assists and one steal in 28 minutes of action against the Nuggets on Wednesday.
In a night where the Heat where flat from the floor, Cole also struggled shooting on the night. He did have strong contributions elsewhere as he added rebounds, assists and a steal. Cole has put out stronger performances in each of his last three games.

Cole started against the Suns on Tuesday and scored 10 points (5-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt) and added three rebounds, four assists and one steal in 31 minutes of work.
This wasn't a great fantasy night by any means, but this is a step in the right direction. Cole received the start on Tuesday and was able to manage the game by not turning the ball over once, which is always a great asset to have when you're fighting for the point guard position. If he continues his solid play, he may increase his fantasy value.

Cole (illness) will play Sunday against the Grizzlies.
Cole, who did not play against Milwaukee on Friday, returned to practiced Saturday and will take the floor to start Sunday's matchup. He was considered questionable coming in, however, so he's likely playing at less than 100 percent.

Sat Dec 6 201417:11Cole (illness) returned to practice Saturday
Cole (illness) returned to practice Saturday.
Cole missed Friday's showdown with the Bucks, but the fact that he's back at practice just a day later bodes well for his chances of suiting up Sunday against the Grizzlies. If he has to miss another game, however, look for Mario Chalmers to resume the majority of his point guard minutes.

Wed Dec 3 201418:00Norris Cole: (Illness) Out Wednesday
Cole (illness) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Hawks.
Mario Chalmers will likely take Cole's starting spot. Cole also didn't look strong in the last two games after his finger injury, totaling 10 points and just two assists. If he recovers after tonight, he'll return Friday against the Bucks.
Wed Dec 3 201412:12Norris Cole: (Illness) Questionable Wednesday
Cole is dealing with an illness and is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Hawks, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel's Shandel Richardson reports.
If he cannot play, look for Mario Chalmers and Shabazz Napier to handle all of the point guard minutes, along with some backup shooting guard duties.
Tue Nov 25 201418:04Norris Cole: (Finger) Will Return Tuesday
Cole (finger) will play Tuesday against the Warriors, Rusty Simmons of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Cole only missed a pair of games after dislocating his finger Thursday against the Clippers. He'll likely reprise his role as the starting point guard, shifting Mario Chalmers to the bench. However, with Dwyane Wade (hamstring) still out of commission, Chalmers could remain in the starting five at shooting guard.
Tue Nov 25 201411:24Cole (finger) on track to play Tuesday against Golden State
Cole (finger) is on track to play Tuesday against Golden State, Ethan Skolnick of Turner Sports reports.
Cole missed two games over the weekend with a dislocated finger, but after going through shootaround Tuesday morning, he's on track to play against the Warriors. He'll likely reassume the starting point guard job from Mario Chalmers, though both players could start if Dwyane Wade (hamstring) sits out again.

Cole will miss his second straight game after dislocating his finger Thursday against the Clippers. The Heat will likely turn to Mario Chalmers and Shannon Brown as the starting backcourt, with Dwyane Wade (hamstring) ruled out.

Cole (finger) will not play Saturday against the Magic, John Denton of OrlandoMagic.com reports.
Cole will indeed miss the Magic game, now looking to return Sunday against the Hornets. Mario Chalmers will start in Cole's place, taking back the point guard spot he had lost.
Sat Nov 22 201412:10Norris Cole: (Finger) Doubtful For Saturday
Cole (finger) is doubtful for Saturday's game against the Magic, the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Cole dislocated his finger during Thursday's game against the Clippers. If he's ultimately unable to play Saturday, Shabazz Napier and Shannon Brown will likely see increased time on the court, especially since Dwyane Wade (hamstring) is expected to miss his fifth-straight game Saturday.

Cole will have further testing on his dislocated finger Friday to determine his status for Saturday's game against the Magic, the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Cole left Thursday's game against the Clippers with a dislocated finger in the second quarter and only spent 10 minutes on the court as a result. He was seen wearing a splint after the game and should be considered questionable for Saturday's contest until further tests are revealed.
