Before Friday, Atlanta had tied a major league record by having their first 10 victories recorded by 10 different pitchers. "I feel good," Wisler said. "My stuff feels good. I have a long way to go. I'll continue the process and go to work every day."

The rookie right-hander put an end to a nine-start winless drought Tuesday as he looks to finish the season strong. The Mets going 0-for-8 with runners in scoring position was a big reason for his success Tuesday. Despite his 5.40 ERA, Wisler's stuff and his pedigree make him a borderline lock for a spot in the starting rotation out of camp next year. He will make his next start Tuesday against the Nationals before pitching the final game of the year at home against the Cardinals.

Wisler (5-8) gave up four runs on nine hits and a pair of walks in a loss to the Jays on Thursday. He struck out three.

The rookie served up a pair of homers, which hasn't generally been his M.O., but he again posted an ugly K:BB, which certainly has been the way of things for him this year. He still hasn't won a game since July 26, but he's given up four-plus runs five times and accumulated seven losses in that span. He'll next get a rematch with the Mets, against whom he turned in practically his only good start in the last two months last Friday.

Wisler (5-7) took the loss against the Mets on Friday, conceding two runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out six over six innings.

How rough has this rookie campaign been on Wisler? Friday was just his fifth quality start in 15 opportunities. Still, with Manny Banuelos shut down for the remainder of the season, Wisler will get the opportunity to remain in the rotation and build off of Friday's solid start.

Wisler will start for the Braves on Friday against the Mets, David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Wisler will take the place of Manny Banuelos, who is likely shut down for the season due to elbow issues. It's unclear if he'll remain in the rotation the rest of the way, but he'll get an opportunity to make a good impression Friday. While he has started for the Braves, Wisler's last appearance came out of the bullpen, so it's possible his pitch count will be limited a bit.

Wisler was torched in his fourth straight loss, surrendering seven runs in 1.2 innings before getting pulled in Thursday's blowout loss against the Nationals.

Wisler looked like a steal for the Braves in the Craig Kimbrel trade when he started his career with a 5-1 record and 3.43 ERA, but this is the third time he has now allowed seven runs since the beginning of August. He's probably not in danger of losing his rotation spot in 2015, but he might have a tougher time in 2016 if his struggles don't end soon.
