Mon Apr 7 201422:43A.J. Pierzynski goes 3-for-4
A.J. Pierzynski managed three singles in four at-bats versus his old team in Monday's win over the Rangers.
Pierzynski impressed neither offensively (2-for-16) nor defensively during the first week of the season, but his swing-at-everything philosophy worked out tonight. He scored twice in the game. That's something he did just five times while finishing with 48 runs scored last year.

Tue Mar 4 201418:21A.J. Pierzynski (ankle) out a few days
A.J. Pierzynski (ankle) won't return to action until at least Friday.
Pierzynski rolled his left ankle during Monday's game. It's not a big concern, but the Red Sox can afford to play it safe with him this early in camp. "He's got a little bit of swelling in there today but this is a couple, three days maybe before he's back behind the plate," said manager John Farrell. "The one thing is it's twice in camp that it's happened so we have to be a little more cautious right now."

Tue Dec 3 201309:15Pierzynski gets one-year deal from Red Sox
Sean McAdam of CSNNE.com reports that A.J. Pierzynski will get a one-year deal from the Red Sox.
Pierzynski's low on-base percentage doesn't really fit in with Boston's typical approach, but the Red Sox preferred him over Jarrod Saltalamacchia, who will almost certainly get a multi-year deal in free agency. The Red Sox have prospects Christian Vazquez and Blake Swihart on the way, so Pierzynski will essentially function as a stopgap option. He should retain most of his fantasy value with the move from Texas to Boston.

The Twins are working on signing A.J. Pierzynski, according to La Velle E. Neal III of the Star Tribune.
It's not much of a surprise: Pierzynski seemed like a good fit with the Twins from the moment the Joe Mauer-to-first base announcement came down. Jarrod Saltalamacchia has also gotten some play here, but Pierzynski on a one-year deal is the far more likely acquisition.
