Sat Jun 29 201309:45Diaw tweets that he'll be staying with Spurs
Boris Diaw tweeted early Saturday morning he'll be staying with the Spurs for one more season.
Diaw was expected to opt-in to the final year of his contract and this pretty much assured that fact. Diaw will make $4.7 million next year, which is way more than he would even come close to on the open market. Diaw will be a decent depth piece for the Spurs but won't help your fantasy team.

Fri Jun 28 201310:57Boris Diaw expected to opt in with Spurs
Boris Diaw is expected to opt-in with the Spurs, keeping him with the team next season to the tune of $4.7 million.
Diaw isn't going to get a bigger contract than he already has, so this was a no brainer. He can play several positions for the Spurs, and will likely spend time at center, power forward and small forward again next year.

Mon May 6 201312:03Boris Diaw probable to play in Game 1 Monday
Boris Diaw (back) is probable for Monday's Game 1 vs. the Warriors.
No surprise here after Diaw was expecting to return for the second round. We'd be shocked if he sat out any additional time after going through multiple full contact practices. His presence is vital with Tiago Splitter (ankle) still not 100 percent healthy.

Fri May 3 201310:38Boris Diaw's conditioning good, ready to go
Boris Diaw confirmed that his conditioning is pretty good, and he should be ready to play in the second round following his back procedure.
Diaw was a full participant in both "lengthy" practices this week, a great sign for his availability in the second round. "It's been a process, getting back, staying in shape and being able to get the core back so I wouldn't feel any pain," he said. "It's been good so far. I think I'll be ready. I'm playing five-on-five already, and we don't play until Monday, so I should be good." His presence is especially important with Tiago Splitter (ankle) still sidelined.

Sun Apr 28 201310:22Boris Diaw ruled out for Sunday's Game 4
Boris Diaw (back) went through his first full contact practice since surgery on Saturday, but he will not play on Sunday in Game 4 vs. the Lakers.
The Spurs don't need Diaw to sweep a decimated Lakers team, but it's a good sign that Diaw is already back in practice taking full contact. He should be available immediately in Round 2 barring a miraculous comeback by Los Angeles.

Sat Apr 27 201310:37Boris Diaw says a Sunday return is possible
Boris Diaw (back surgery) says it's possible he could return for Sunday's Game 4.
Diaw is only two weeks into a 3-4 week timetable and we're a little dubious about his chances of returning in the first round. Diaw just began light activity and will need to go through a full-contact practice before being cleared. Either way, we should know something more definitive Saturday afternoon.

Wed Apr 10 201321:53Boris Diaw (back) could miss 2-3 weeks
Boris Diaw (back) could miss 2-3 weeks with his sore back.
He dealt with back issues last month and he's essentially out for the regular season and could miss the first round of the playoffs. Diaw played 22.8 minutes per game this season and only had noticeable contributions while the Spurs were sitting some of their players. DeJuan Blair should be turned loose more than usual with Diaw out.

Mon Apr 8 201313:20Boris Diaw already ruled out for Wednesday
Boris Diaw (sprained back) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Nuggets.
Diaw will be day-to-day thereafter, and it must be at least somewhat of a concern if the team is already ruling him out of action. His absence should mean a few more minutes for someone like Tiago Splitter, and it's possible we'll see DeJuan Blair make his annual late-season appearance after he played 22.5 minutes in the last one.

Mon Apr 1 201323:49Boris Diaw plays 32 minutes vs. Memphis
Boris Diaw played 32 minutes against the Grizzlies on Monday, shooting 3-of-12 from the field for seven points with three boards, two assists, two steals and blocks.
The 32 minutes are his most he's played since February 11 and Tim Duncan not playing led to Boris getting some extra burn. The Spurs have another back-to-back set on Wednesday and Thursday, so deep league owners might considering starting Diaw on a light three-game Thursday.

Boris Diaw joined four other Spurs in double-figures on Sunday, scoring 10 points with two 3-pointers, three rebounds, one steal and two blocks in 22 minutes off the bench.
Diaw has flirted with 20 minutes per game in March, but this was easily one of his best all-around games. There's no reason to trust him outside of the deepest formats.

Wed Mar 6 201320:09Boris Diaw (back) will make his return vs CHI
Boris Diaw (back) will return to the Spurs for Wednesday's game against Chicago.
He's missed two games and will be on a strict minute limitation in his return tonight. DeJuan Blair played 22.0 minutes per game in those two games and anyone in an extremely deep league can dump him back on the wire. Diaw has played in 23.3 minutes per game this year and is not on the radar in standard leagues.

Wed Mar 6 201311:58Boris Diaw available to play Wednesday
Boris Diaw (back) is available to play on Wednesday.
Big Mac Diaw had been questionable, but his back has improved and he'll be back in the lineup. There is not a lot to like about his fantasy appeal with Tim Duncan and Tiago Splitter healthy.

Sat Mar 2 201313:44Boris Diaw won't play Sunday against Pistons
Boris Diaw (back strain) won't play Sunday against the Pistons.
Diaw's absence means DeJuan Blair will see at least one more game of decent minutes. However, as long as Tim Duncan remains healthy, Blair's fantasy impact is mostly negligible.

Fri Mar 1 201319:25Boris Diaw could miss a few games
Boris Diaw could miss a few games with his back strain, according to Gregg Popovich.
The absence of Diaw will lead to fellow hefty forward DeJuan Blair picking up the slack. Blair doesn't really project to have much value, but if for some reason Tim Duncan has to miss one of the next three games, he could be a streaming option.
