Thu Apr 12 201223:55Diaw starts the second half on Thursday
Boris Diaw started the second half of Thursday's game, finishing with five points, five rebounds, one assist, and one three in 14 minutes off the bench.
Normally a change to the starting lineup would merit attention, but in San Antonio it's a meaningless occurrence as Gregg Popovich changes his mind nightly. Diaw hasn't been overly productive at all with the Spurs, so owners can safely ignore him in most leagues even with a five-game week ahead.

Tue Apr 10 201203:20Diaw starts but doesn't do much vs. Jazz
Boris Diaw started and scored five points on 2-of-4 shooting with three rebounds, two steals, and one block in 20 minutes against the Jazz on Monday.
Diaw is on the outside looking in at most fantasy leagues, but owners shouldn't count him out completely. His versatility can add up to value real quick if he gets moving in the right direction.

Sun Apr 8 201222:33Boris Diaw scores nine in start at C
Boris Diaw started at center over DeJuan Blair on Sunday and had nine points, one rebound, two assists and a 3-pointer in 24 minutes.
Blair should still be the starter, as he was just getting a night off, but keep in mind that Gregg Popovich switched his starting center to Antonio McDyess about this time last year. Ignore Diaw for now, but if he does earn a regular starting gig, he'll be worth a look in many leagues.

Sun Apr 8 201219:06Boris Diaw starts over DeJuan Blair
Gregg Popovich continues to tinker with his lineup from night to night and chose to start Boris Diaw over DeJuan Blair at center on Sunday.
No word on whether or not Blair will play off the bench or not, but our guess is it's his turn for a night off. We can only hope this didn't ruin your fantasy buzz on Sunday. Blair was the only Spur to start in all 50 of their games this season, but that streak is now dead.

Sat Mar 31 201223:05Boris Diaw slapped w/ DNP-CD on Saturday
Boris Diaw picked up a DNP-CD vs. the Pacers on Saturday.
The recently-acquired PF had played at least 11 minutes in every game with the Spurs to this point, so presumably Gregg Popovich gave him one of his infamous days of rest. Regardless, Diaw's role for the Spurs is too small to support fantasy value.

Thu Mar 29 201202:23Boris Diaw fails to score on Wednesday
Boris Diaw missed both of his shots and had zero points, four rebounds and two assists in Wednesday's win.
He'll rack up some boards and other stats, but is simply a role player for his new team. We see no reason to own him going forward, as he'll have an occasional solid game, but plenty of bad ones the rest of the way.

Wed Mar 28 201201:27Boris Diaw scores six in 18 minutes
Boris Diaw had six points, two rebounds, four assists and two steals on 3-of-4 shooting in 18 minutes on Tuesday.
We were expecting more with Stephen Jackson and Tiago Splitter sitting this one out, and if Diaw couldn't answer the call tonight, he's probably not going to (consistently) going forward.

Mon Mar 26 201200:23Boris Diaw plays 26 minutes in Spurs' victory
Boris Diaw's playing time spiked with Tim Duncan resting on Sunday -- he had two points, seven rebounds, two assists and three steals in 27 minutes off the bench.
Diaw was 0-of-3 from the field but he sure looks like another great addition to the Spurs' bench. His minutes will decrease once Duncan and Tiago Splitter (back) are healthy, and there's too much competition for Diaw to have reliable value.

Sat Mar 24 201204:13Diaw makes Spurs debut on Friday vs. Mavs
Boris Diaw made his Spurs debut on Friday against the Mavs, scoring two points on 1-of-1 shooting with three rebounds, one assist, and one block in 16 minutes.
Before you laugh, Diaw actually did great defending Dirk Nowitzki, helping to a 5-of-21 shooting night. There's nowhere near enough for owners to cling onto here, but we're calling tonight a win for Diaw in the eyes of Gregg Popovich.

Fri Mar 23 201219:47Diaw could play on Friday if needed
Newly acquired Boris Diaw could play on Friday against the Mavs.
We won't rule out anything when Gregg Popovich is pulling the strings, but it would be an upset if Diaw played meaningful minutes tonight. With the Spurs set to play five games in six nights, a best-case scenario could provide Diaw with enough minutes to make noise in fantasy leagues, though. Just watch him for now.

Fri Mar 23 201214:25Sources: Spurs sign F/C Boris Diaw
Sources tell Yahoo! Sports that the San Antonio Spurs have signed F/C Boris Diaw for the remainder of the season.
The deadline to sign players who can still be playoff-eligible is Friday, so the Spurs moved quickly to finalize their deal with the versatile big man. Diaw has averaged 9.4 ppg over his nine-year career and is know as one of the better passing big men in the league. Diaw had conditioning issues in Charlotte, so it remains to be seen if and how quickly he can get into shape for the stretch run. He is only worth monitoring for right now.

Fri Mar 23 201209:45Spurs expected to contact Boris Diaw
The Spurs are expected to contact Boris Diaw once he clears waivers on Friday.
San Antonio has been the favorite to land Diaw since he was bought out of his deal, and there have been no indications that any other team is legitimately seen as competition for his services. Diaw is known to be close to Tony Parker.

Wed Mar 21 201215:27Report: Spurs in the lead to sign Boris Diaw
The Spurs are reportedly the front-runners to sign Boris Diaw, should he clear waivers.
Diaw would earn a pro-rated amount for his $9 million salary, making it rather unlikely that any team would claim him. Tony Parker has vouched for his French compatriot's fitness level (no comment) and he'll provide extra depth as the Spurs embark on a busy stretch of games leading into the playoffs. Don't bother adding him in fantasy leagues.

Wed Mar 21 201213:01Bobcats officially waive Boris Diaw
Bobcats waived F/C Boris Diaw.
This was a formality after the two sides agreed on a contract buyout earlier on Wednesday. He'll look to join a postseason contender once he clears waivers.

Wed Mar 21 201208:20Boris Diaw, Bobcats reach agreement on buyout
Boris Diaw and the Bobcats have agreed in principle on a buyout.
Diaw has been angling for his contract to be bought out for some time, and now Charlotte has obliged. It will surely be interesting to see where he lands, but fantasy owners should leave him on the wire until we get a clearer idea as to where he might land as it will have a direct impact on his fantasy value.

Tue Mar 20 201209:53Nothing new on Boris Diaw getting bought out
There is "nothing new" in terms of Boris Diaw receiving a contract buyout from the Bobcats, according to beat writer Rick Bonnell.
Diaw would have to be waived by Friday to be eligible for another team's postseason roster, but there have been no indications that the two sides are working toward that scenario. That could certainly change, but there is nothing new on that front at this time.

Sun Mar 18 201209:39Boris Diaw deactivated for Bobcats game
Boris Diaw was deactivated for the Bobcats prior to Saturday's game.
No surprise here, as Charlotte is likely to buyout Diaw's contract. It's conceivable that he'll have fantasy value if he's bought out and signs with the right team, but for now he belongs on your waiver wire.

Thu Mar 15 201216:49Bobcats will discuss a Diaw buyout
Bobcats GM Rod Higgins said a Boris Diaw buyout will be discussed in the next few days.
The Bobcats were predictably unable to find a trade partner, but that doesn't change the fact that coach Paul Silas has seen enough of Diaw. If a buyout can be reached, the Spurs and Knicks are rumored to be interested. Diaw would land as a backup in both spots.

Tue Mar 13 201217:53Parker: Spurs, Knicks interested in Diaw
Tony Parker reportedly told a French radio station that the Spurs and Knicks are interested in Boris Diaw.
Finding a trade partner for Diaw may be difficult, but he'll become an unrestricted free agent if a buyout is reached. At that point, Diaw would be an asset as a rotational player in either spot. The fit in San Antonio makes sense as Diaw is a fellow Frenchman to Parker and Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni knows Diaw from their time together in Phoenix. "He is in great shape. I am the first to make fun of him when he gains weight, but this is not the case," Parker reportedly said of Diaw.
