Thu Jul 30 201519:32Heisey designated for assignment by Dodgers on Thursday
Heisey was designated for assignment by the Dodgers on Thursday.
He was one of four players DFA'd following the Dodgers' three-team deal with Miami and Atlanta. Heisey struggled with the big club this season (4-for-26), but he hit 14 homers with a .355 OBP in 63 games with Triple-A Oklahoma City. Even at 30, there's a chance he could be plucked off waivers as a flier by a rebuilding club.

Heisey was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday, David Vassegh of 570 AM LA Sports reports.
Given the crowded Dodgers outfield, it's not a big surprise that Heisey will return to the minors. The veteran outfielder went just 4-for-26 over 17 games with the Dodgers, and will now provide organizational depth at Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Tue Jun 2 201512:19Heisey recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday
Heisey was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday, and he's in the lineup for the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Rockies, AM 570's David Vassegh reports.
According to Vassegh, Scott Van Slyke (undisclosed) is likely headed for the disabled list, creating a need for another outfielder on the roster. Heisey has a .234/.354/.574 slash line for Triple-A Oklahoma City this season, and while he possesses a decent combination of power and speed, he doesn't figure to see regular at-bats.

Heisey was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Saturday, the Orange County Register's Bill Plunkett reports.

Heisey was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Wednesday.
Heisey will be up for his third stint with the major league club this season with right-hander Sergio Santos designated for assignment. The 30-year-old Heisey has hit 10 home runs in 28 games with Oklahoma City so far this season, but he made a combined 10 plate appearances in his first two stints with Los Angeles and his opportunities figure to be limited again this time around given the Dodgers' outfield depth.
Tue May 12 201510:09Heisey optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday
Heisey was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday.
The Dodgers need room on their 25-man roster for Mike Bolsinger, who was called up to start Tuesday's game against the Marlins. With the Dodgers having a deep collection of talent in the outfield, Heisey is unlikely to earn regular at-bats for the team at any point this season.
Thu May 7 201511:43Heisey recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday
Heisey was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday, Bill Shaikin of the LA Times reports.
Heisey was brought up to take the roster spot of Joe Wieland, who was optioned to Oklahoma City after making a spot start Wednesday. The Dodgers' outfield is still crowded even with Carl Crawford and Yasiel Puig on the disabled list, so his playing time figures to be minimal, and come mainly against left-handers.
Wed May 6 201517:10Heisey will be called up for Thursday's game
Heisey will be called up for Thursday's game, MLB.com's Ken Gurnick reports.
He was in the clubhouse before Wednesday's game in advance of his activation. With Carl Crawford and Yasiel Puig on the 15-day DL, the Dodgers are not as deep as they typically are in the outfield. Heisey may not be up for long, and he probably won't see enough starts on a weekly basis to be useful in many formats.

Heisey has joined the Dodgers in San Francisco and expects to be officially recalled Wednesday, Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times reports.
This is a bit puzzling, as both Yasiel Puig (hamstring) and Carl Crawford (illness) are set to return to the lineup Tuesday. Perhaps the team just wants some security outfield depth in the short term. Heisey hit four home runs in his first 10 games (40 PA) with Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Heisey is batting just .105 in 47 at-bats this spring and likely will open in Triple-A.
At this point, it would take an injury or an Andre Ethier trade to get Heisey back in the big leagues.
Thu Jan 15 201521:50Heisey agreed to one-year
Heisey agreed to a one-year, $2.16 million contract with the Dodgers on Thursday to avoid arbitration, Ken Gurnick of the Dodgers' official site reports.
Heisey was traded from the Reds to the Dodgers in early December after a disappointing 2013 season in which he hit .222/.265/.378 with eight home runs and 22 RBI. He should provid esome depth in the outfield for the Dodgers in 2015, but may have to battle for a roster spot out of training camp.
Tue Dec 2 201420:52Chris Heisey: Traded To The Dodgers
The Reds traded Heisey to the Dodgers on Tuesday, Jerry Crasnick of ESPN.com reports.
Right-handed pitcher Matt Magill will go to Cincinnati in the deal, per Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com. Heisey wore out his welcome with the Reds by batting just .222/.265/.378 in 119 games (299 PA) last season. While this move just seems to further crowd the Dodgers' outfield situation, it is likely a precursor to other moves, though it still seems unlikely Heisey will serve as anything more than a reserve with his new club.

Heisey is a potential non-tender candidate by the Reds before Tuesday's deadline, MLB.com reports.

Chris Heisey clubbed a solo homer in Saturday's loss to the Yankees.
It was the only offense of the day for the Reds. Heisey didn't play much in June, but he's hitting .355 (11-for-31) with two home runs and two doubles this month. He's worth a try where available in deeper formats.

Tue Jul 8 201416:37Heisey has three hits Tuesday vs. Cubs
Chris Heisey went 3-for-3 with a walk, a run scored, and a stolen base Tuesday against the Cubs.
The three hits tied a season-high. Heisey had just three hits in his last 29 at-bats coming into Tuesday's action, so this was nice to see. Still, he'll need to string together more performances like this one to get increase playing time.
