Tue May 14 201310:13Heisey (oblique) exits rehab game early
Chris Heisey (oblique) left his first rehab game on Monday with Double-A Pensacola for precautionary reasons.
Heisey was originally scheduled to play seven innings, but he left after he made a shoestring catch to end the top of the first inning. "I don't think he re-aggravated it, but I just didn't like the way he was moving and there is no reason to push that," said Pensacola manager Delino DeShields. "We are going to be as careful as we can with him. He probably won't play (tonight) and we'll see how it goes from there." The Reds were hoping Heisey would be ready to return by Friday, but his timeline will likely be pushed back now.

Wed Apr 10 201316:31Chris Heisey goes hitless in loss
Chris Heisey went 0-for-4 and grounded into a double play Wednesday against the Cardinals.
Manager Dusty Baker probably isn't going to need much of an excuse to give Zack Cozart a try in the two hole over Heisey. Filling in for Ryan Ludwick in left field, Heisey is hitting .167 with a homer and two doubles in 31 at-bats. He also has an 11/1 K/BB ratio. He probably won't lose his starting job right away, but he could well be dropped to seventh in the lineup.

Tue Mar 19 201318:37Chris Heisey hits one out
Chris Heisey singled in a run and also belted a three-run homer Tuesday against the White Sox.
It should be noted that the dinger came off of John Danks, who has looked woeful this spring, but it's a nice day for Heisey nonetheless. He's batting .293 with three homers this spring and should play more than your average fourth outfielder this season.
