Fri Mar 2 201223:23Hamilton plays 20 minutes, scores 10 points
Richard Hamilton scored 10 points on 5-of-8 shooting on Friday as the Bulls easily disposed of the Cavaliers.
The fact that Hamilton played 20 minutes is a very good sign, as he was only expect to play 10-15 coming into the game. The only thing Chicago is concerned with right now is the playoffs, and they simply aren't going to push Hamilton during the regular season. His minutes will likely remain monitored, which will really hurt his fantasy value.

Wed Feb 29 201211:51Bulls to exercise caution with Rip Hamilton
Richard Hamilton (groin) confirmed that he felt "no pain" after Tuesday's game, but the Bulls will exercise caution with his playing time.
Hamilton said the plan was for him to play eight minutes in each of the first and third quarters to get an idea of his conditioning before building up his playing time going forward. Tom Thibodeau said that "we want to go step-by-step with him." Hamilton acknowledged that he won't take on too many minutes because there is still a lot of the season left and he wants to be healthy. "I just have to listen to my body," said Hamilton. He's averaging 13.4 points, 2.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists this season.

Hamilton went through a full practice, but Chicago will err on the side of caution with the veteran shooting guard. He's missed the bulk of the season due to injuries, and Hamilton will be monitored closely even when he does return. In 11 games this season, Hamilton is averaging 14.2 points, 2.9 rebounds and 3.6 assists.

Mon Feb 27 201217:28Richard Hamilton questionable for Tuesday
Richard Hamilton (thigh/groin) remains questionable for Tuesday's game against the Hornets.
Hamilton returned to a full practice, but the Bulls won't jump the gun here. He is extremely frail at age 34 and has missed 24 of the team's 35 games this year. Even once fully cleared, Hamilton figures to have his minutes watched closely for a few games.

Sun Feb 12 201214:49Hamilton could be out until All-Star break
Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said that Richard Hamilton (groin, leg) is "maybe a week away," but also said that they could hold him out through the All-Star break.
Chicago is currently on a five-game winning streak and holds the NBA's best record, so they feel no need to rush Hamilton back, which is obviously the right move. Ronnie Brewer will continue to start while Hamilton is out.

Mon Feb 6 201219:08Richard Hamilton (groin) out on Monday
Richard Hamilton (groin, leg) will not play on Monday against the Nets.
"We want (Rip) completely healthy before he comes back so we're going to be very patient with it," said Tom Thibodeau. He is also attending to a personal matter but beat writer K.C. Johnson confirms that "he's still injured, anyway." Hamilton has provided late-round value in 8- and 9-cat leagues when healthy, but a lack of upside makes dropping him for a hot free agent the right play. Ronnie Brewer will start in his place tonight.

Richard Hamilton (groin) is also dealing with a "deep right leg bruise" according to Kevin Harlan of TNT.
This just got reported on the telecast and we're finding the boob tube is more accurate with Bulls injuries than the local rags these days. Just add it to the list and be wary when believing anything you hear about the Bulls -- they're turning into basketball's New England Patriots.
