Sun Dec 2 201209:48Rip Hamilton (foot) to have MRI on Sunday
Rip Hamilton will have an MRI on his sprained foot on Sunday.
X-rays were negative and Rip wasn't in pain so he returned briefly in the fourth quarter, but he's not out of the woods just yet. "It wasn't 100 percent or anything like that," he said of his surprise return. "When I jumped up ... I felt something pop in the bottom of my foot. Yeah [it scared me]. The simple fact no one was around." If you own Rip be prepared to move on Nate Robinson, while Marco Belinelli also stands to gain more playing time if he's forced to miss any games.

Sat Dec 1 201223:14Rip Hamilton diagnosed w/ sprained left foot
Rip Hamilton left Saturday's game with a sprained left foot, and his status for Tuesday's game is uncertain.
Hamilton suffered an apparent non-contact injury, crumpling after making a jump-pass, and the Bulls should feel fortunate that it's nothing more serious than a sprain. Given his low upside and injury history, there's no reason for fantasy owners to gamble on him this week.

Sat Dec 1 201221:43Rip Hamilton carried off w/ left foot injury
Rip Hamilton left Saturday's game with an apparent left foot/ankle injury, and he was unable to put weight on his left leg.
There was no obvious inciting event, which is always concerning, but we'll refrain from speculation as we await an update. If he's forced to miss any games, Marco Belinelli, Nate Robinson and Jimmy Butler stand to gain the most.

Thu Nov 29 201200:40Rip Hamilton backs up season-high w/ 4 points
Rip Hamilton, coming off a season-high 30 points on Monday, played just 18 minutes and finished with four points and four assists in Wednesday's win.
There are no reports of an injury and Hamilton may have just gotten some rest for his old legs tonight, while Jimmy Butler got hot off the bench and scored a career-high 13 points. Hamilton has played well enough to be owned in many fantasy leagues, but keep an eye on him in the next one to make sure this was simply a fluke.

Mon Nov 26 201223:47Hamilton scores season-high 30 points
Richard Hamilton scored a season-high 30 points in Monday's home loss to the Bucks, hitting 12-of-24 shots with three rebounds, three assists, and one steal in 36 minutes.
Hamilton hit both of his 3-point attempts and all four of his freebies, and has stepped into a consistent role over the past two games. His role has been in flux all season, so it's anybody's guess if Rip can keep things up. Give him a look but keep your expectations in check. He has an unfriendly fantasy game and plenty of injury risk.

Sun Nov 25 201200:06Rip Hamilton pours in season-high 22 points
Rip Hamilton scored a season-high 22 points on Saturday, adding three rebounds, three assists and one steal in 36 minutes.
The Bulls' starting SG also drained 10-of-10 FTs, but that's where the good news ends -- he shot 6-of-18 from the field and coughed up six turnovers. With season averages of 0.4 three-pointers, 2.3 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 0.8 steals, Rip offers nothing more than low-end value.

Sun Nov 18 201223:37Rip Hamilton scores 15 pts in limited minutes
Rip Hamilton scored 15 points in Sunday's road loss, hitting 7-of-10 FGs with one 3-pointer in 22 minutes.
If empty points would help your team, feel free to pick up Rip, but don't be surprised when he offers just a trickle of auxiliary stats.

Thu Nov 15 201201:17Richard Hamilton scores 15 in 37 minutes
Richard Hamilton had 15 points, five assists and one 3-pointer in 37 minutes vs. the Suns on Wednesday.
After not hitting any threes in his first five games, Rip has averaged 1.0 in his last three contests. He still has a fairly low upside, but owners can enjoy his scoring stats while he's healthy.

Tue Nov 13 201202:13Hamilton scores eight points in loss
Richard Hamilton scored eight points on 3-of-8 shooting with two rebounds and four assists in 21 minutes on Monday against the Celtics.
Hamilton is an injury risk putting up borderline numbers in 12-14 team formats, and owners can probably do better unless they're in a real pinch.

Thu Nov 8 201223:43Rip Hamilton scores 20 and grabs 8 boards
Richard Hamilton played 34 minutes in Thursday's loss and scored 20 points, grabbed eight rebounds and added four steals.
He only took one 3-point attempt and we're still waiting for him to hit his first make so far this year. He is getting minutes and owners that get more reward for scoring may want to consider the former UConn Husky.

Sat Nov 3 201223:48Hamilton, Hinrich both quiet on Saturday
Rip Hamilton and Kirk Hinrich combined to score six points on 3-of-18 shooting in Saturday's home loss -- both starters played under 24 minutes.
As a consequence of their lackluster play, more minutes were available for Marco Belinelli (13 points, 29 minutes) and Nate Robinson (15 points, 24 minutes). Hinrich should be more reliable on a nightly basis, but Rip is a low-end option with minimal upside.

Sat Nov 3 201201:51Hamilton scores 19 points against Cleveland
Richard Hamilton scored 13 of his 19 points in the third quarter with the game no longer in doubt on Friday, hitting 8-of-12 shots overall with one rebound and two assists in the Bulls' blowout win over the Cavs.
Hamilton has natural deterrents to fantasy value with the lack of stats other than scoring, but for now he is humming. He's a good bet to hold onto some low-end value indefinitely until his next injury.

Thu Nov 1 201200:38Rip Hamilton scores 19 in opener
Richard Hamilton had 19 points, three assists and two steals on 7-of-16 shooting in 31 minutes of Wednesday's win.
Rip is in a much better spot health-wise than he was last season and if he can stay healthy, he'll have some fantasy value - especially without Derrick Rose available for the Bulls.

Fri Oct 26 201223:27Rip Hamilton fills stat sheet
Richard Hamilton had 12 points, six rebounds, five assists, a steal, a block and a 3-pointer in 31 minutes of Friday's preseason game.
Hamilton played well tonight and Marco Belinelli has had an awful preseason. If not for Hamilton's lengthy injury history, we'd be touting him as a sleeper. But as it stands, he is now just a high risk, low reward player to look at when the end of your draft rolls around.

Wed Oct 24 201200:08Rip Hamilton scores 13 in 36 minutes
Richard Hamilton started on Tuesday and had 13 points on 4-of-14 from the field and grabbed four rebounds in 36 minutes.
None of his 14 shots were threes and he has only hit one from downtown in his five preseason games. The lack of threes and his propensity to miss time due to injury make him a shaky pick in deeper drafts.

Richard Hamilton had a big night as a starter for Chicago with 23 points, three boards and three steals in 30 minutes on Tuesday.
He took 14 shots and none of them were threes, which has always been a big knock on his fantasy value. His 0.6 threes per game last year were his lowest in six years. He also missed 38 games last year and might be more trouble than he's worth for fantasy owners.

Mon Oct 15 201216:21Rip, Deng to both play for Bulls Tuesday
Rip Hamilton and Luol Deng are both expected to play for the Bulls in Tuesday's preseason game.
Hamilton got Saturday off to rest and Deng is coming off a sore groin. Deng should again be a top fantasy forward this season, while Hamilton is simply trying to offer some value after last season's injury-riddled disaster.

Sat Oct 13 201219:29Rip Hamilton given night off to rest
Rip Hamilton was given the night off to rest on Saturday.
Marco Belinelli assumed starting SG duties in his absence, but this is just a precautionary DNP-CD. Rip played 25 minutes per game during an injury-plagued 2011-12 campaign, finishing with averages of 11.6 points, 0.6 three-pointers, 2.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 0.4 steals.

Wed Oct 10 201210:05Rip Hamilton plays well in preseason win
Rip Hamilton scored 13 points in 20 minutes on Tuesday and emerged unscathed from the preseason win over Memphis.
Hamilton's last season was ruined by groin, thigh and shoulder injuries, but he's finally healthy again. He could be a nice sleeper pick late in drafts, assuming he can stay healthy this year.

Mon Oct 1 201210:19Richard Hamilton had 'strong' offseason
Richard Hamilton had a "strong" offseason, according to beat writer K.C. Johnson.
Hamilton was disappointing during his first season as a member of the Bulls, and he'll look to rebound in his second year. Owners in standard formats can certainly do worse for a flier at the end of your draft, but we wouldn't blame you for taking someone who offers more long-term upside.
