Wed Mar 19 2014 | 17:53 | Andrei Kirilenko will play vs. Bobcats |
Andrei Kirilenko (toe) will play against the Bobcats on Wednesday. |
He did not practice on Tuesday and it's unclear how many minutes he'll see. Even though Kevin Garnett (back) is out, Kirilenko's minutes have been limited at the forward spots while the rest of the team has been healthy. He's not worth using in most formats tonight. |

Tue Mar 18 2014 | 12:57 | Andrei Kirilenko misses Tuesday practice |
Andrei Kirilenko (bruised left big toe) missed Tuesday's practice. |
Kirilenko has another day to get healthy before Wednesday's matchup against the Bobcats, but we'll consider him questionable until more news is available. AK has only averaged 3.5 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 0.5 steals, and 0.5 blocks in 14.5 minutes over his last two games, so fantasy owners are best served looking elsewhere for standard league production. |

Andrei Kirilenko (ankle) said he isn't sure if he'll be able to play in Saturday's game against the Wizards. |
Kirilenko is going to test out his balky ankle during Friday's practice. If healthy, he projects for only 18-20 minutes even with Kevin Garnett (back) still sidelined. |

Wed Mar 12 2014 | 18:17 | Andrei Kirilenko will not play on Wednesday |
Andrei Kirilenko (ankle) will not play against the Heat on Wednesday. |
This will be his second game out of the lineup for the Nets. The team will also be without Kevin Garnett and should look to Andray Blatche and Mason Plumlee to help out in the frontcourt against an attacking Miami team. |

Wed Mar 12 2014 | 10:46 | Andrei Kirilenko (ankle) expects to play Heat |
Andrei Kirilenko (ankle) said that he expects to play vs. Miami on Wednesday. |
His return would be great news for the short-handed Nets, as they look to slow down LeBron James and company, but fantasy owners shouldn't be rushing to claim him off the waiver wire. He hasn't scored double-digit points in a game since Feb. 23, though his trickle of defensive stats may still give him targeted appeal in deep leagues. |

Tue Mar 11 2014 | 13:52 | Andrei Kirilenko questionable for Wed vs Heat |
Andrei Kirilenko (ankle) is questionable for Wednesday's game against Miami. |
Kirilenko missed his 30th game of the season on Monday with an ankle sprain, which makes guessing his status for Wednesday akin to predicting New England weather. Over his last four games, Kirilenko has averaged 4.3 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.0 blocks, and 1.0 steals in 19.5 minutes so he's essentially turned into "mini AK" compared to the numbers that fantasy owners were used to in his prime. We'll update Kirilenko's status as more information becomes available, but Alan Anderson, Andray Blatche, and Mirza Teletovic would stand to benefit if Kirilenko is unable to suit up Wednesday. |

Mon Mar 10 2014 | 17:56 | Andrei Kirilenko will not play on Monday |
Andrei Kirilenko (ankle) will not play on Monday vs. the Raptors. |
He suffered an ankle sprain on Monday and it's not a surprise he won't play. Kirilenko is extremely injury prone, so there's no need to play him tonight especially with Kevin Garnett (back) and Paul Pierce (shoulder) ready to go. |

Sun Mar 9 2014 | 19:50 | Andrei Kirilenko sprains ankle, won't return |
Andrei Kirilenko sprained his right ankle on Sunday and he will not return. |
Paul Pierce is already out with a sore shoulder which means guys like Andray Blatche, Alan Anderson and Mirza Teletovic will have to play bigger roles off the bench. We're considering Kirilenko day-to-day for now, though given his injury history that may prove to be overly optimistic. |

Fri Feb 28 2014 | 01:51 | Andrei Kirilenko goes off the grid again |
Andrei Kirilenko played just 10 minutes against the Nuggets on Thursday with nine points, three boards and one steal. |
He had a good little run while Shaun Livingston was out with a tailbone issue, but AK-47 will have his safety on to keep him fresh for the playoffs. If you added Kirilenko earlier this week in a deep league, you can start looking elsewhere. |

Sun Feb 23 2014 | 23:59 | Andrei Kirilenko goes vintage AK-47 in win |
Andrei Kirilenko turned back the clock on Sunday night with 10 points, 10 boards, three assists, four steals and one block in 35 minutes. |
This was his second game in a row with at least 32 minutes and he's looking healthy for the first time in quite a while. Kirilenko is well known for his defensive contributions throughout his career and his ailing back has cut his season short countless times. If you want to add him, you shouldn't be cutting someone you've been counting on. |

Sun Feb 23 2014 | 19:51 | Andrei Kirilenko will start vs. Lakers |
Andrei Kirilenko will start against the Lakers on Sunday night. |
He played 32 minutes against the Warriors on Saturday and looked somewhat healthy. Kirilenko could be worth a look in deep leagues based on his track record of putting up blocks and steals. Of course, there is a lot of risk here. |

Thu Feb 6 2014 | 22:34 | Andrei Kirilenko (calf) plays 26 minutes in |
Andrei Kirilenko played 26 minutes in his return from a calf injury on Thursday with four points, eight boards, six assists, one steal and two turnovers. |
The good news on AK-47 is that he doesn't have back problems. However, that seems inevitable and the Nets won't be playing him big minutes no matter how depleted they get with their older roster. He's really just a plug-and-play in streaming deep leagues on a light day like today. |

Wed Feb 5 2014 | 12:06 | Andrei Kirilenko (calf) could return Thursday |
Andrei Kirilenko (calf) was on the court at the end of Wednesday's practice, but his status for Thursday remains uncertain. |
The veteran forward has missed the past three games but could be ready to return on the road in San Antonio. Owners in deep leagues should check back for updates on Thursday, while everyone else should leave AK on the waiver wire unless his playing time increases -- he hasn't topped 24 minutes in a game all season. |

Mon Feb 3 2014 | 18:08 | Andrei Kirilenko (calf) out on Monday night |
Andrei Kirilenko (calf) will not play against the Sixers on Monday. |
His sore calf will keep him out of the lineup for the third straight game. Kirilenko is hurt far too often to be trusted in most fantasy leagues. Andray Blatche is a game-time call, so the team will likely go with Mason Plumlee to help off the bench. |

Mon Feb 3 2014 | 11:30 | Andrei Kirilenko (calf) doubtful vs. Sixers |
Andrei Kirilenko (sore calf) is doubtful for Monday's game vs. Philadelphia. |
Fantasy owners should consider him 'out' as the Nets are unlikely to take any risks with their veteran forward, who has appeared in just 17 of the Nets' 45 games this season. His injury isn't thought to be serious and he's listed as day-to-day. |

Sat Feb 1 2014 | 12:49 | Andrei Kirilenko (calf) out again vs. Pacers |
Andrei Kirilenko (calf) will sit out again vs. the Pacers on Saturday. |
An MRI ruled out any serious damage but the veteran SF still has too much pain to suit up. Andray Blatche is also questionable to play with a hip injury, which could leave the Nets' bench extremely thin against a physical Pacers squad. |

Fri Jan 31 2014 | 18:19 | Andrei Kirilenko (calf) out vs. Thunder |
Andrei Kirilenko (calf) will not play against the Thunder on Friday. |
On the bright side, at least it's not to his back. Kirilenko has dealt with calf injuries before and he's one of the more injury-prone players in the NBA. He will be re-evaluated tomorrow before the Nets play the Pacers. Andray Blatche and Mirza Teletovic should get a handful of extra minutes. |

Fri Jan 31 2014 | 10:36 | Andrei Kirilenko a game-time call Friday |
Andrei Kirilenko (calf) is a game-time decision for Friday's matchup with the Thunder. |
Kirilenko's right calf is merely sore. The veteran backup is averaging just 5.8 points and 3.1 rebounds in 18.1 minutes per game this season. |
