Tue Mar 25 201411:46No update on O.J. Mayo's injury
The Bucks did not update the status of O.J. Mayo following his injury during Monday night's game.
He looked to have tweaked an ankle, but it's a guessing game until we get an update. The Bucks have been less forthcoming with their injuries than Spurs coach Gregg Popovich, so this isn't a surprise. Chances are Mayo is fine and we would consider him closer to probable for Thursday's game against the Lakers. In other Mayo news, Rudy Gay blamed Mayo's weight gain on where he lived. "I guess when you're hurt in Wisconsin, you eat," Gay said.

Tue Mar 25 201400:45O.J. Mayo suffers apparent injury vs. Clipper
O.J. Mayo suffered an apparent injury in the second half of Monday's game vs. the Clippers and did not return.
The injury didn't look too bad and he was able to walk off the court under his own power. Mayo isn't exactly in peak physical form, so coach Larry Drew probably didn't want to throw him back out there at 100 percent. He scored eight points in the early going and didn't add anymore with three boards, one assist and two 3-pointers in 17 minutes. Stay tuned for an update.

Sun Mar 23 201420:44O.J. Mayo makes 9-of-14 shots, scores 21 pts
O.J. Mayo drained 9-of-14 shots with two 3-pointers in his return to action on Sunday, finishing with 21 points and four assists in his first game since March 10.
Mayo's conditioning is a concern and he was coming off six straight DNP-CDs. His tenure with the Bucks has been one disappointing chapter after another and there's little reason to anticipate a breakout in the final weeks of a doomed season, notwithstanding tonight's blowout-driven performance.

Sat Mar 22 201409:41O.J. Mayo could 'possibly' rejoin rotation
Bucks coach Larry Drew said that O.J. Mayo could "possibly" rejoin the rotation in the wake of Nate Wolters' fracturing his hand.
Wolters is likely done for the season, which leaves Brandon Knight and Ramon Sessions as the Bucks' primary guards, but Mayo could creep into the picture after six straight DNP-CDs. Mayo's conditioning is an issue and it's just as likely that Drew will give more minutes to Giannis Antetokounmpo at SG, so there's no need to pick up Mayo outside of the deepest leagues.

Sun Mar 16 201416:16O.J. Mayo gets another DNP-CD
O.J. Mayo received his fourth consecutive DNP-CD on Sunday.
The Bucks clearly are not getting much out of their three-year, $24 million deal with Mayo from this summer. He has no fantasy value.

Sat Mar 15 201414:56O.J. Mayo picks up another DNP-CD
O.J. Mayo picked up another DNP-CD during Saturday's 115-94 loss to the Knicks.
Mayo began the season with the promise of a starting SG job and a fresh start in Milwaukee, but he's ending it as a disgruntled backup who can't even crack Larry Drew's rotation. The wheels have fallen off the bus for the Bucks, who still have a worse record than a 76ers team which has dropped 19 consecutive games.

Sat Mar 8 201414:49O.J. Mayo suspended for Saturday's game
O.J. Mayo has been suspended one game for striking Greg Stiemsma in the throat on Friday.
Mayo won't suit up vs. the Wizards on Saturday and it's just as well for fantasy owners, as he's been lousy all season and is averaging just 9.8 points over the past month. Nothing about his play suggests that he'll turn things around in the Bucks' final 20 games.

Sat Mar 8 201410:00O.J. Mayo may face suspension for elbow
O.J. Mayo may face a suspension for hitting Greg Stiemsma in the throat during Friday's game.
Mayo lashed out in obvious anger and it wouldn't be surprising to see the league slap him with a one-game suspension, especially since the contact was close to Stiemsma's head. He's averaging 6.8 points on 36.1 percent shooting in the Bucks' past five games, and continues to disappoint after signing a three-year, $24 million contract last summer.

Fri Mar 7 201420:53O.J. Mayo ejected for elbow to Greg Stiemsma
O.J. Mayo was ejected in the second quarter of Friday's game vs. the Pelicans for a flagrant-2 foul.
He gave Greg Stiemsma an elbow after the two players got tangled up after a missed shot. Mayo played just 20 minutes on Wednesday and he'll finish with no points tonight. The league might look at this for a suspension, but his infraction wasn't as bad as Ersan Ilyasova's from Wednesday.

Thu Mar 6 201402:09O.J. Mayo scores just eight points in 20 mins
O.J. Mayo scored eight points against the Kings on Wednesday with three boards, one assist and one turnover in 20 minutes.
He's cracked the 24-minute mark just once since returning from his conditioning issues back on Feb. 20 and he's pretty much useless on anything except as a catch-and-shoot player. The Bucks offense isn't good enough to get Mayo open looks, so there is little reason to have confidence for a guy who was once traded for Kevin Love on draft day.

Mon Mar 3 201423:20Mayo scores just three points on Monday
O.J. Mayo scored just three points on 1-of-5 shooting with three assists in 24 minutes off the bench on Monday.
Mayo may have a few more big games in him but betting on them happening consistently is giving away money this season.

Sun Mar 2 201400:00O.J. Mayo disappears in loss to Nets
O.J. Mayo hit 4-of-7 shots for nine points in 23 minutes on Saturday.
He didn't hit a 3-pointer and all the positive vibes he was giving after scoring 14 and 25 points over his last two games were erased tonight. Feel free to own him, but expect a ton of inconsistence as long as he's coming off the crowded Bucks bench.

Thu Feb 27 201421:52O.J. Mayo scores 14 points vs. Pacers
O.J. Mayo made 5-of-14 from the field for 14 points vs. the Pacers on Thursday with one steal, two blocks and three 3-pointers in 24 minutes.
He doesn't have shred of an interior game and none of his 14 shots have come from inside of 12 feet tonight. Mayo's jump shot has been falling and clearly coach Larry Drew is using him as a catch-and-shoot guy in his offense. Still, he's taken nine triples in each of his last two games and he seems like he's a good bet to hit a couple per night. If you're looking for triples and don't care about anything else, he's worth a look.

Mon Feb 24 201421:56Mayo explodes for 25 points, seven treys
O.J. Mayo exploded for 25 points on 8-of-14 shooting with seven threes, three assists and a steal in Monday's cakewalk over the Sixers.
The world's biggest disclaimer applies but maybe Mayo is taking his conditioning seriously and is ready to make a contribution. He logged 35 minutes off the bench tonight and even though we don't trust him as far as we can heave the heavyset shooting guard, he's worth a look for the brave out there.

Sat Feb 22 201423:54O.J. Mayo looks like O.J. Mayo again
O.J. Mayo played 17 minutes against the Pacers on Saturday with eight points, two boards, one assist, two 3-pointers and five fouls on 3-of-8 shooting.
As expected, Brandon Knight coming back hurt Mayo's offensive output and he looks extremely out of shape. He's going to be one of this season's prime examples for guys who lose their work ethic after signing a multiple-year deal. Fantasy owners should be able to do better.

Thu Feb 20 201422:51O.J. Mayo finally plays, scores 11 points
O.J. Mayo returned from a 10-game absence due to flu-like symptoms and conditioning issues, shooting 5-of-8 from the field for 11 points with three boards and one 3-pointer in 23 minutes.
While he did look like he put on a couple pounds, his conditioning seemed better than it was before his absence. That said, he still showed no desire to get to the basket and was taking a lot of contested shots. His minutes tonight had a little bit to do with the Bucks needing bodies, so most owners might have a tough time making a cut for Mayo after his first good game in over a month. It's worth mentioning Mayo was tying his shoe on defense while in a half-court set, which should be all over the low-light reel over the weekend.

Wed Feb 19 201413:50Bucks worry about O.J. Mayo's conditioning
Bucks coach Larry Drew said that he'll "have to allow [O.J. Mayo] to play his way into shape."
"O.J. was available [Tuesday] and I had every intention of getting him some minutes," Drew said. "Unfortunately, I wasn't able to." Mayo missed a few weeks due to a very bad flu, and between his poor conditioning and limited bench role there's no reason to own him in typical fantasy leagues.

Wed Feb 19 201402:53O.J. Mayo gets a DNP on Tuesday
O.J. Mayo was available to play on Tuesday, but didn't play due to a coaching decision.
Larry Drew said he never had an opportunity to get Mayo in the lineup and the Bucks actually won. Which tells you how far Mayo has fallen since draft night.

Tue Feb 18 201410:00O.J. Mayo (illness) probable to play Tuesday
O.J. Mayo (illness) is considered 'probable' to return to action vs. the Magic on Tuesday.
Mayo has recovered from a doozy of a flu that caused him to miss the Bucks' previous nine games, and it stands to reason that his playing time will be limited even if he does play off the bench. Although Mayo's season has been a massive disappointment, trade rumors are swirling around the Bucks and a few well-placed trades could push him closer to fantasy relevance.
