Mayo moved into the starting lineup at shooting guard Tuesday and put up 17 points (5-10 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds, three assists, and one steal in 28 minutes.
While the Bucks' rotation and starting lineup (especially at shooting guard) has been mercurial this season, Mayo is the kind of talent that needs to be picked up when he's given a starting role and the potential minutes that come with that job. Go add Mayo anywhere you need help with decent scoring, three-pointers, and better-than-average assists from a shooting guard. He's a flier pickup. If the Bucks move Mayo back to a bench role our play yo-yo with his minutes, he'll be a drop candidate in short order.

Mayo will start at shooting guard Tuesday.
He has replaced Khris Middleton in the starting lineup for now, but his production has been a little up and down of late, making him a little risky in daily leagues.

Mayo played 39 minutes and had 21 points (7-17 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 4-4 FT) with seven rebounds in the triple-overtime win against the Nets on Wednesday.
In his previous three games, Mayo averaged 8.3 points and his just 1-of-8 on 3-pointers. He took advantage of extra playing time and led the Bucks' bench to help the team to their seventh win (after the squad won just 15 games last year). Better for Mayo owners, he may have earned more minutes going forward.

Mayo scored nine points (3-12 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), with three assists and one rebound in 27 minutes before fouling out during Wednesday's loss to the Bulls.
Mayo has frustrated fantasy owners, and if he's not hitting his shot, then he won't help your team out much. He played plenty of minutes, but after starting the year hot, has really slowed down quite a bit over the past three games.

Mayo was held to three points (1-7 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT) in 19 minutes in the loss to Washington on Saturday.
Mayo had averaged 21 points in the first two games of the season, but had a game all too reminiscent of his 2013-14 season against the Wizards. He should bounce back Tuesday against the Pacers.
Sat Nov 1 201400:21Mayo had 25 points (8-13 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 4-6 FT) with three rebound...
Mayo had 25 points (8-13 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 4-6 FT) with three rebounds and five assists in 28 minutes in the win over the 76ers on Friday.
Mayo has opened the season well. Perhaps he wants to prove last year was an aberration. He has provided 42 points with eight 3-pointers in two games. With his early production, Mayo could move into the starting lineup before too long since he is the best scorer on the roster.
Mon Oct 20 201423:22Mayo scored 24 points (7-13 FG, 6-10 3P, 4-4 FT) in 31 minutes d...
Mayo scored 24 points (7-13 FG, 6-10 3P, 4-4 FT) in 31 minutes during Monday's preseason win over the Knicks.
Khris Middleton got in early foul trouble as the starting small forward, which opened the door for Mayo to get in the lineup and heat up from the outside. Bucks coach Jason Kidd has other, more versatile wings to give court time to, however, so don't expect Mayo to be much more than a long range option off the bench this season.
Sun Jul 13 201414:28Jason Kidd hopeful O.J. Mayo can be effective
Jason Kidd is hopeful that he can help O.J. Mayo get back to being an effective player.
"I think the big thing with O.J. - I've known him since he was in high school - and he's a great kid, loves the game of basketball. I don't know exactly what happened with him last year. But when you look at him playing in Memphis, playing in Dallas, he was playing at a very high level. That's our job, is to get him back there." Mayo's first season with Milwaukee could be described as catastrophic, but perhaps Kidd can make Mayo actually want to play basketball. The Bucks don't have too many options at the shooting guard position, but Mayo showed last year that he's a master of squandering opportunity.

Sun Jun 29 201401:07O.J. Mayo to be traded by Bucks?
Brian Windhorst said on ESPN early Sunday morning that the Bucks have been in negotiations to trade O.J. Mayo.
Given Mayo's struggles, playing time and odd role with the Bucks last season, along with the arrival of Jabari Parker, this isn't the least bit surprising. Additionally, Gary Woefel said on Twitter Saturday night the the Bucks were also looking to move Larry Sanders for a veteran big man. These plans could all change if Jason Kidd takes over basketball operations, but it would be surprising to see Mayo back with the Bucks next year.

Wed Jun 25 201414:39Parker says he can learn from O.J. Mayo
Duke forward Jabari Parker said he can learn from O.J. Mayo in an interview with ESPN on Wednesday.
Wait, what? Perhaps no player in the NBA had a worse work ethic than Mayo last year. Mayo played just two of the last 19 games due largely because the team didn't even want to play him. The Bucks weren't very forthcoming on his injuries last season and even attributed some of his DNPs to lack of conditioning.

Wed Apr 16 201420:59O.J. Mayo not in uniform on Wednesday
O.J. Mayo is not in uniform for Wednesday's game vs. the Hawks.
His offseason started a long time ago and it couldn't have ended soon enough. Mayo likely had more double cheeseburgers than double-doubles this year, which isn't saying much considering he had zero double-doubles.

Mon Apr 14 201419:57O.J. Mayo not in uniform for Bucks
O.J. Mayo is not in uniform for Monday's game vs. the Raptors.
The Bucks haven't really bothered updating Mayo at all and didn't even disclose his status tonight, so we're just assuming he's out. Only one more game after tonight, Bucks fans.

O.J. Mayo (ankle) will not play on Friday night.
We really wish the team would just rule Mayo out for the season.

Sat Apr 5 201419:36O.J. Mayo will not play against the Raptors
O.J. Mayo (ankle) will not play against the Raptors on Saturday.
There has been no news on his ankle and how much it's bothering him, so it's probably safe to assume he's been shut down for the season. Mayo has a lot of work to do to turn his career around after a disastrous 2013-14.

Wed Apr 2 201418:46O.J. Mayo will not play on Wednesday night
O.J. Mayo (ankle) will not play against the Heat on Wednesday.
The last time Mayo was hurt, his illness turned into a conditioning issue and there's a good chance that's what happened here. He's been one of the most criticized players this season and the Mavericks look pretty smart for letting the Bucks pick him up in the offseason.

Mon Mar 31 201423:19Mayo a DNP-CD on Monday vs. Detroit
O.J. Mayo (ankle) did not play on Monday against the Pistons, as expected.
Mayo dressed as an emergency player and his status for the rest of the season is tenuous, at best.

Mon Mar 31 201419:01O.J. Mayo will dress, doubtful to play
O.J. Mayo (ankle) will dress vs. the Pistons on Monday and is not expected to play.
In other words, he's just an emergency guy because the Bucks are running out of bodies in their backcourt. Mayo has been one of the biggest letdowns on the season and obviously the Bucks regret signing him over the summer. At least they'll have a lot of ping-pong balls. Ramon Sessions will get some serious run tonight.

Mon Mar 31 201417:34O.J. Mayo (ankle) questionable for Monday
O.J. Mayo (ankle) is questionable to face the Pistons on Monday.
He suffered an ankle sprain last Monday and missed two games because of it. Mayo has missed games earlier this year for conditioning, so not being at practice suggests he's probably not ready to play much. Even if he does suit up, he's a bit unlikely to top 25 minutes. Ramon Sessions is logging major minutes while Giannis Antetokounmpo could get more run tonight.

Sat Mar 29 201418:49O.J. Mayo won't play on Saturday night vs MIA
O.J. Mayo (ankle) will not play vs. the Heat on Saturday night.
This will be his second game out of the lineup after an ankle sprain from Monday. Mayo's conditioning has been a huge issue this season and playing him at less than 100 percent is not an option. The Bucks are going to have to get creative tonight and we might see more D.J. Stephens while Brandon Knight and Ramon Sessions will be very busy.

Thu Mar 27 201419:14O.J. Mayo (ankle) will not play vs. Lakers
O.J. Mayo (ankle) will not play in Thursday's game vs. the Lakers.
He landed on someone's foot during Monday's game but seems to have only tweaked his ankle, and he doesn't expect the injury to keep him out for long. Giannis Antetokounmpo should get solid playing time as the Bucks' primary reserve guard in what is sure to be a high-scoring, defense-optional matchup.
