Gary Neal started for injured Gerald Henderson (calf) on Monday, scoring 10 points on 3-of-11 shooting (including two threes) with five assists.

Neal was empty everywhere else except for a pair of free throws on the night. It's unknown what the extent of Henderson's injury is, but for now while it's up in the air Neal is only a speculative add in 12-team formats and a spot-play in deeper leagues.

Neal has been effective in his two games off the bench with the Bobcats, averaging 13.5 point, 1.0 assists, 0.5 steals and 1.5 triples. He has a decent chance to clear 30 minutes tonight while Luke Ridnour could see a few more minutes tonight as well.

The team has been showcasing him a little lately with some extended minutes as the backup shooting guard and he's shown he can play. The Bucks are unlikely to get much value back in a deal and Neal would likely lose fantasy value on another team.

It's his first game action since Jan. 19 and desperate times called for desperate measures for coach Larry Drew. Neal looked fine tonight and was getting his own shot quite a bit and he might be ahead of Luke Ridnour for now. Of course, that could change tomorrow.

ESPN's Marc Stein reported in early January that the Bucks "will do everything they can to find a new home [for Neal]," and his return to action was probably a by-product of Luke Ridnour's wrist injury.
