Sun Mar 22 201521:08Neal left Sunday's game against Hornets with sprained left ankle
Neal left Sunday's game against the Hornets with a sprained left ankle, and he will not return to the contest, Kyle Ratke of timberwolves.com reports.
After missing the previous four games because of an illness, Neal piled up 11 points (5-7 FG, 1-2 3PT), two rebounds, two assists, a steal and five turnovers over 21 minutes in Sunday's game. The Timberwolves play the second game of a back-to-back Monday night in Utah, and with so many other players bothered by injuries, it's difficult to say how this latest issue could impact the team's rotations. If Neal isn't able to play and nobody else returns, Kevin Martin and Zach LaVine will both be candidates to hit the 40-minute mark.

Neal (illness) will not play Wednesday, Jerry Zgoda of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
An illness will cost Neal his third straight game, and Zach LaVine should pick up some extra minutes. Ricky Rubio said he will try to play Wednesday but he's less than 100 percent, so both LaVine and Lorenzo Brown could see significant boosts in value.

Neal took his place in the lineup despite injuring his hand in practice Friday, scoring 27 points (8-11 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 10-13 FT) with four rebounds and one assist in only 21 minutes Saturday.
The 27 points is a season-high for NEal and he has now scored in double-digits in four straight games, fulfilling his role as the Wolves' scorer off the bench. If you are in need of points, Neal has emerged as a solid option, but that's really his only category of strengths, so he can be left to deeper leagues in the main.

Neal (hand) underwent a precautionary X-ray on his hand Friday, but they came back negative, and he'll be fine to play Saturday, the Star Tribune reports.
It sounds like Neal has been given the all-clear for Saturday's game. He's had some nice games recently, but with Kevin Martin back in the starting lineup as of the Timberwolves' last game, it's hard to see how Neal could be of use in anything but deeper leagues while coming off the bench with Martin eating up most of the shooting guard minutes.

Neal is averaging 28.5 minutes off the bench over his last two games. Although, his per-minute value is still lacking which relegates his viability to deeper leagues at this point in the season.
Wed Feb 25 201519:09Neal (ankle) will be available to play Wednesday against Wizards
Neal (ankle) will be available to play Wednesday against the Wizards, Andy Greder of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
He went from doubtful to available to play in the span of less than 24 hours, so his condition must have really improved. That said, it would be surprising if he saw enough minutes Wednesday to be fantasy relevant in most formats.
