Tue Feb 24 201518:28Neal (ankle) doubtful for Wednesday's game
Neal (ankle) is doubtful for Wednesday's game, the Star Tribune's Jerry Zgoda reports.
He said earlier in the week that he expected to play in Wednesday's game, but it sounds like that is no longer likely. Kevin Martin and Andrew Wiggins should see most of the time at the two while Neal is out.

Neal (ankle) will not play in Monday's game against the Rockets, Timberwolves' radio announcer Alan Horton reports.
Neal sprained his ankle during Sunday's practice, which left him little time to recover for Monday's contest versus Houston. While Neal will be sidelined to begin this week, he still expects to play Wednesday against the Wizards. Nonetheless, expect his status to be updated in advance of that contest.

Neal injured his ankle during Sunday's practice and is considered questionable for Monday's game against the Rockets, the Star Tribune reports.
There's some speculation that Neal may eventually agree on a buyout with Minnesota, although it seems like he'll stick around for the time being since he's participating in practice. Either way, his status should be updated following Monday's morning shootaround.
Thu Feb 19 201517:02Neal could be bought out in near future
Neal could be bought out in the near future, Steve Aschburner of NBA.com reports.
Neal was acquired from the Hornets before the All-Star break, and he doesn't necessarily fit with the rebuilding culture in Minnesota. As a result, he could be bought out in hopes of signing on with a contender. At this point nothing is official, but the situation is something to keep an eye on.
Wed Feb 11 201519:06Neal will not play Wednesday
Neal will not play Wednesday.
Neal, who was traded from Charlotte to Minnesota on Tuesday, will not play for his new team before the All-Star break. However, Adreian Payne, who was also acquired this week, will be available off the bench.
Tue Feb 10 201513:16Neal traded to Timberwolves on Tuesday
Neal was traded to the Timberwolves on Tuesday, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports.
Neal, as well as a second-round pick, will head to Minnesota, as the Hornets return Mo Williams and Troy Daniels. Neal has disappointed in his first full season in Charlotte, averaging 9.6 points and 2.2 rebounds while shooting just 35.9 percent from the floor and 29.3 percent from three. Despite the poor numbers, however, he'll likely carve out 15 or so minutes per game as a reserve shooting guard. Neal's two-year deal, which he signed with the Bucks prior to the 2013-14 season, is set to expire this summer, which essentially eliminates any risk on Minnesota's end.

Neal (hamstring) returned from a two-game absence and scored nine points (4-11 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT) in 14 minutes in the overtime win against Pacers on Saturday.
The Hornets were without Kemba Walker (knee), so they needed Neal's offense off the bench. If Walker remains out, Neal could get more points to get on the fantasy radar.
Sat Jan 17 201516:53Neal (hamstring) will play against Pacers on Saturday
Neal (hamstring) will play against the Pacers on Saturday.
Neal has been dealing with a hamstring injury of late but returned to practice Friday and will indeed come off the bench Saturday. With Kemba Walker (knee) already ruled out, Neal is expected to serve as the backup point guard behind Brian Roberts.
Fri Jan 16 201512:55Neal (hamstring) returned to practice Friday
Neal (hamstring) returned to practice Friday.
Neal has been sidelined for the past two games but he seems to be in line for a comeback against the Pacers on Saturday. If he does in fact play, expect limited production as he's only averaging 22.9 minutes on the court over 32 games this season.
Wed Jan 14 201511:41Neal (hamstring) will not play Wednesday against Spurs
Neal (hamstring) will not play Wednesday against the Spurs, Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer reports.
Neal has been battling a hamstring strain for the past two weeks and will miss his second straight game after sitting Saturday against New York. His absence should free up more minutes for Jeff Taylor and P.J. Hairston off the bench. Consider Neal questionable to play Saturday when the Hornets face Indiana.

Neal (hamstring) scored 11 points (5-16 FG, 1-7 3Pt,) with three assists in 24 minutes in the loss to the Cavaliers on Friday.
Neal was a game-time decision with a tight hamstring. The injury didn't affect his ability to hoist shots, but he has been struggling from 3-point range (just 11.1 percent in his last five games). If Neal can start knocking down 3-pointers, he could have some fantasy value.
Fri Jan 2 201518:56Neal (hamstring) will play Friday
Neal (hamstring) will play Friday, the Charlotte Observer's Rick Bonnell reports.
His minutes have been up and down of late, but he has only scored in double figures in two of the Hornets' last seven games, so there is definitely some volatility here.

Neal (hamstring) will be a game-time decision Friday against the Cavaliers, Rick Bonnell of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Neal, who was previously considered questionable for Monday's game against Milwaukee, was limited during Friday morning's shootaround. He ended up playing both Monday and Wednesday, but it seems that the hamstring strain is still lingering. If Neal can't play Friday night, his absence could lead to added minutes off the bench for Brian Roberts and P.J. Hairston.

Neal (hamstring) scored seven points (2-8 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT) to go along with four rebounds in 15 minutes Monday against the Bucks.
Neal is capable of the occasional breakout performance, but largely has a limited role off the bench for the Hornets. He doesn't carry significant fantasy value at this time.
Mon Dec 29 201419:15Neal (hamstring) active for Monday's contest against Bucks
Neal (hamstring) is active for Monday's contest against the Bucks.
Despite a strained right hamstring, Neal will tough out the concern as a reserve, which may hinder his ability to log his normal run (24 minutes per game) on the season. However, the Hornets' wing remains without Lance Stephenson (pelvis), meaning Neal may be forced into action.

Neal is dealing with a right hamstring strain and is questionable for Monday's game, the Charlotte Observer's Rick Bonnell reports.
He has failed to score in double figures in three straight games, shooting just 4-for-26 from the field over that span. However, if Neal plays, he should figure prominently in the Hornets' guard rotation.

Neal scored 25 points (8-15 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 8-11 FT) to go along with four rebounds, two assists and one steal in 32 minutes during the Hornets' 113-107 loss versus the Grizzlies on Friday.
Neal had it going on Friday, and his efforts forced coach Steve Clifford to give him the nod over Lance Stephenson during crunch time of the double overtime duel. His playing time greatly depends on how well he is playing on a given night, making his value pretty unpredictable from game to game. Still, Neal provides a valuable scoring punch off the bench for the Hornets, and as long as he's able to remain healthy he should continue to see decent time going forward.

Neal (shoulder) returned after a four-game absence Friday, coming off the bench and playing 22 minutes against the Knicks. He scored 13 points (5-9 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT) and added one rebound and three assists.
Neal's fantasy value is as a three-point shooting specialist. While he missed all three attempts Friday, he immediately regained his role in the rotation, playing just shy of his 24.8 minutes per game average. Neal has value in deep leagues, as a bench specialist in category leagues, and in daily games.

Neal (shoulder) plans on playing against the Knicks on Friday, although he won't make an official decision until after the pregame workout.
Neal has missed the past four games with a left shoulder injury but seems to be in line to play Friday. He also noted that if he does in fact play, he'll be wearing a pad over his shoulder to prevent further injury.
Wed Dec 3 201411:59Neal (shoulder) will not play Wednesday against Bulls
Neal (shoulder) will not play Wednesday against the Bulls, the Charlotte Observer reports.
Neal went from one injury to another, returning from a concussion only to suffer a shoulder contusion last Monday that has caused him to be sidelined since. With Michael Kidd-Gilchrist also out, Marvin Williams, if available, and Lance Stevenson will likely play a lot of minutes on the wing.
