Mon Sep 2 201309:36Landry Fields still rehabbing injured elbow
Landry Fields is still rehabbing his elbow injury and is working on restructuring his shot this offseason.
He missed over a month of the season back in November and December, then missed more time in April due to his elbow concerns. Fields and the team also worked on his shot back in March, so he's clearly working on a weakness. He fell out of the rotation and has an uphill climb to become a factor in the rotation.

Wed Apr 17 201323:31Landry Fields plays well off bench
Landry Fields had eight points, 11 boards and three assists in 28 minutes on Wednesday.
He had a wasted season in Toronto and could be in for more of the same next year, as DeMar DeRozan and Rudy Gay will keep him glued to the bench on most nights.

Sun Apr 14 201314:40Landry Field is back for Sunday's game
Landry Field (strep throat) is back for the Raptors to play against the Nets on Sunday.
He missed the last two games and he's probably not going to be a big factor in today's game. Fields has played just 14.8 minutes per game in his last four games and has minimal fantasy value.

Sat Apr 13 201315:41Landry Fields returns to practice Saturday
Landry Fields (strep throat) returned to practice on Saturday.
He did not play on Friday due to an illness and also sat out on Tuesday for other reasons. Fields' three-year, $19 million contract from this past offseason seems to make less sense every day that goes by.

Fri Apr 12 201317:56Landry Fields out Friday due to illness
Landry Fields (strep throat) will not play in Friday's game against the Bulls.
Fields would have had a chance for minutes thanks to Terrence Ross' ankle sprain, but he's too sick to go. Fields is averaging just 17.5 minutes per game since the All-Star break.

Wed Apr 3 201321:49Fields (elbow) returns to action on Wednesday
Landry Fields (elbow) returned to action on Wednesday, scoring three points with three rebounds in 17 minutes.
Fields has been a non-factor in fantasy leagues this season and there is no reason to believe that this will change.

Wed Apr 3 201312:40Landry Fields expected to play on Wednesday
Landry Fields' elbow checked out after Monday's follow-up appointment and he's expected to return to the lineup on Wednesday against the Wizards.
There was a concern that Fields could miss the remainder of the season after having issues with his surgically-repaired elbow, but it checked out just fine and Fields will dress on Wednesday.

Mon Apr 1 201317:23Landry Fields (elbow) won't play on Monday
Landry Fields will not play on Monday as he seeks follow-up care on his surgically-repaired elbow.
It sounds like Fields is having some discomfort, as he's headed to California for a checkup with specialist. He hasn't been returning fantasy value with Rudy Gay healthy anyway, so this shouldn't impact active fantasy lineups.

Wed Mar 27 201309:43Landry Fields to rebuild jumper in offseason
Landry Fields will work with shooting coach John Townsend to "rebuild his shooting stroke."
Fields will work with Townsend "extensively," and it's probably a good idea since Fields has been nothing short of awful in his first season with the Raptors. He's averaging 4.9 points and 4.0 rebounds on 45.7 percent shooting, but he's shooting a pathetic 14.3 percent from distance and that is unacceptable for someone with a career mark of 33.6 percent from behind the 3-point line.

Fri Mar 22 201318:21Fields to start on Friday against the Knicks
Landry Fields will start in Friday's game against the Knicks.
Fields has started in two other games against the Knicks, but he isn't really worth using in fantasy leagues and one look at his game log will explain why.

Sat Mar 2 201323:42Landry Fields scores 15 points in start at SF
Landry Fields took over at SF for Rudy Gay (back) on Saturday, scoring 15 points with seven rebounds, four assists, four steals and zero assists in 48 minutes.
Fields has been a forgotten man since the Raptors acquired Gay, and his numbers in 19 starts this season don't exactly scream 'underused' -- 5.1 points on 41.1 percent shooting, 5.1 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.1 turnovers in 25 minutes per game. And although he shot 40 percent from downtown as a rookie, Fields is a combined 1-of-11 from deep this season. He did need surgery to re-route a nerve in his shooting arm earlier this year, so we'll cut him some slack, but his fantasy value will evaporate overnight if Gay is healthy enough to suit up on Monday.

Fri Feb 22 201318:07Landry Fields will get the start Friday night
Landry Fields will get the start Friday night against the Knicks.
The Raptors are starting Fields so that he can guard Carmelo Anthony again. They made the same move on Feb. 19 and Fields helped hold Melo to a 5-of-24 shooting performance. Amir Johnson will come off the bench tonight but should be back in the starting lineup for the next game.

Wed Feb 13 201323:20Landry Fields starts against Knicks
Landry Fields made a rare start on Wednesday and had four points, 10 rebounds and a block in 24 minutes.
Maybe he started because they were playing his former team, or it could have just been for matchups purposes against the Knicks. Either way, he'll need to stick in the starting five over Amir Johnson to be worth a pickup, and we doubt that happens.

Wed Feb 13 201319:44Landry Fields gets the start on Wednesday
Landry Fields will start for the Raptors against his the Knicks on Wednesday.
Well, it's a good day for Landry Fields. He got engaged to model Elaine Alden today and he'll get a chance to stick it to his former team. Fields doesn't have much fantasy value it might may just be a matchup, so he can be left on the waiver wire in almost all leagues. Amir Johnson will move to the bench and his owners shouldn't worry too much at this point.

Sun Feb 10 201322:08Landry Fields (back) very quiet in return
Landry Fields (back spasms) had four points, two rebounds and one assist in 19 minutes during his return on Sunday.
It's nice to see the Raptors' $20-million man healthy and active, but Rudy Gay's presence has scuttled any value Fields may have had.

Sun Feb 10 201317:34Landry Fields will return to lineup Sunday
Landry Fields will be active against the Hornets on Sunday.
He was back at practice on Saturday and his back spasms appear to be over. Fields has lost almost all over his luster in fantasy leagues with Rudy Gay playing 42.3 minutes per game in his last three games.

Sat Feb 9 201314:27Landry Fields back at practice Saturday
Landry Fields (back spasms) returned to practice on Saturday.
His status for Sunday's game is still up in the air. Fields and his three-year, $20 million contract have lost nearly all value in fantasy leagues with Rudy Gay playing well with his new teammates.

Thu Feb 7 201315:03No timetable for Landry Fields to return
Dwane Casey said Landry Fields (back spasms) remains sidelined and could be out for "a little while."
Fields has missed the last two games after his back acted up and it doesn't sound like he's going to return anytime soon. His fantasy value already had taken a major hit with the addition of Rudy Gay and at this point, anyone holding onto him should cut bait in almost every format.

Tue Feb 5 201312:59Landry Fields (back) ruled out for Wednesday
Landry Fields (back spasms) did not practice on Tuesday and he has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Celtics.
He missed Sunday's game with back spasms and it's not a good sign that he is ruled out so early. Fields' fantasy value is already on life support with Rudy Gay in the fold and he should be on almost every waiver wire right now.
