Before the injury and the trade, Shumpert's 2014-15 production very closely mirrored his career numbers. At only 24 years old, that kind of stagnation is disappointing for managers who have invested in him. Assuming that his minutes increase as he continues to recover from his injury, Shumpert should be decent source of threes and steals.

Smith and Matthew Dellavedova's playing time and could even supplant Smith in the starting lineup.

Shumpert (shoulder) has been playing 3-on-3 recently and should return to the court by the end of the week, theCavaliers' official site reports.

Shumpert suffered a dislocated shoulder on Dec. 12, which has sidelined him in the interim. After Monday's game against the Bulls, his next opportunities to play arrive Wednesday against the Jazz and Friday versus the Hornets. While he may not log a significant workload right off the bat, he should nonetheless provide coach David Blatt with a plus wing defender and three-point threat.

Currently, he's recovering from a dislocated left shoulder suffered on Dec. 12, but upon achieving full health, he should provide a defensive complement to Kyrie Irving (back), who is deficient in that department.

Shumpert underwent X-rays on his right index finger following Wednesday's game, The Record reports.

Shumpert tallied eight points, five rebounds, and six assists in 30 minutes Wednesday, but he also exited the game with the finger injury. The X-rays came back negative, so it remains to be seen what Shumpert's status will be moving forward.

Shumpert broke out of his slump Sunday against the Blazers, posting 11 points, two rebounds, three assists, and two steals in 23 minutes of action.

Shumpert has been on a massive slump of late, but he's still getting a nod to solid minutes. He's still a fantasy asset thanks to his multi-category production, but he's by no means a must-own player at this point.

Shumpert scored seven points (3-9 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT) and added one assist and one block in 21 minutes against the Thunder Friday.

The entire starting lineup struggled Friday, shooting a combined 10-36 for only 28 percent. The Knicks were down by 32 at the end of the third quarter, and no starter played more than 23 minutes. Nothing about this game went as planned for the Knicks, and fantasy managers should avoid overreacting to its results.

Shumpert scored seven points (2-10 FG, 0-4 3P, 3-4 FT) with six rebounds, five assists and a steal in 30 minutes during Monday's loss to the Rockets.

Despite the poor shooting night, he was still able to contribute in other categories. Jose Calderon's return to action hasn't yet cost Shumpert any court time, but after shooting just 6-for-28 (21%) over his last three games that may begin to change.

Shumpert (hip) had a great return to the lineup for the Knicks on Tuesday. He had sat out their previous game with a hip contusion but put up 21 points (9-14 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), eight rebounds, eight assists, three steals in 36 mintues as the starting small forward.

Shumpert is a great play in daily games right now, because his value for contests on most sites for Wednesday will remain at his salary from Tuesday. For the time being, it's worth rostering Shumpert in most standard leagues. While he could have sustained value, there's a chance Shumpert's value will take a big hit when Jose Calderon (calf) returns in the somewhat near future.
