Shumpert (shoulder) made his debut for the Cavaliers Friday, playing 10 minutes off the bench against the Hornets. He scored five points (3-3 FG, 2-2 3Pt) and added two rebounds and two assists.
Before the injury and the trade, Shumpert's 2014-15 production very closely mirrored his career numbers. At only 24 years old, that kind of stagnation is disappointing for managers who have invested in him. Assuming that his minutes increase as he continues to recover from his injury, Shumpert should be decent source of threes and steals.

Shumpert (shoulder) will make his Cleveland debut against the Hornets on Friday, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Shumpert hasn't played since Dec. 12 but seems poised to come off the bench in limited minutes Friday. His minutes will likely rise moving forward, but his workload should be underwhelming for the time being.

Shumpert (shoulder) played 3-on-3 at Tuesday's practice and did not appear limited. However, he's been ruled out for Wednesday's game, Chris Haynes of Cleveland.com reports.
Shumpert is believed to be very close to making his Cavaliers debut, and it could come as soon as Friday against the Hornets. If that's not the case, his next opportunities will be Sunday against Oklahoma City and Tuesday in Detroit. Once Shumpert is back, he figures to cut into J.R. Smith and Matthew Dellavedova's playing time and could even supplant Smith in the starting lineup.
Mon Jan 19 201518:25Iman Shumpert: (Shoulder) Should Play By End of Week
Shumpert (shoulder) has been playing 3-on-3 recently and should return to the court by the end of the week, theCavaliers' official site reports.
Shumpert suffered a dislocated shoulder on Dec. 12, which has sidelined him in the interim. After Monday's game against the Bulls, his next opportunities to play arrive Wednesday against the Jazz and Friday versus the Hornets. While he may not log a significant workload right off the bat, he should nonetheless provide coach David Blatt with a plus wing defender and three-point threat.
Mon Jan 19 201513:21Iman Shumpert: (Shoulder) Could Play Friday
Shumpert is targeting Friday against the Hornets as a potential return date, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Shumpert has been sidelined with a dislocated shoulder since Dec. 12, but appears to be finally ready to take the court. He has been doing individual work since joining the Cavs, but participated in contact drills at practice Sunday in two-on-two and three-on-three settings according to the report. Shumpert participated in shootaround Monday but won't play against the Bulls. He will practice again Tuesday, with a target of returning either Friday or Sunday. He is expected to take on the starting shooting guard spot when he is fully healthy.

Shumpert (shoulder) will remain out for at least two more weeks, Ethan Skolnick of Bleacher Report reports.
Shumpert, who was dealt to the Cavs on Monday, has not played in nearly a month after dislocating his shoulder on Dec. 12 against the Celtics. His absence should equate to increased minutes for fellow new addition J.R. Smith, but Shumpert has a good chance to enter the starting lineup once healthy, as the Cavaliers are in desperate need of perimeter defense. In 24 games for the Knicks this season, Shumpert averaged 9.3 points, 3.3 assists and 3.4 rebounds while shooting 40.9 percent from the floor and 34.8 percent from three.

Shumpert (shoulder) will be dealt to the Cavaliers in a three-team trade with the Knicks and Thunder, Yahoo! Sports reports.
Shumpert will join Knicks teammate J.R. Smith on the road to Cleveland. After a promising rookie season in which he displayed a defensive prowess during the lockout-shortened 2011-12 campaign, Shumpert put up back-to-back clunkers. However, he's bounced back this season, posting 9.3 points (on 41 percent shooting), 3.4 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.3 steals, and one three-pointer in 26 minutes per game. Currently, he's recovering from a dislocated left shoulder suffered on Dec. 12, but upon achieving full health, he should provide a defensive complement to Kyrie Irving (back), who is deficient in that department.

Shumpert (shoulder) will remain sidelined Friday.
He was hoping to return to the practice court in early 2015, but is not ready to return to game action, and there is not a clear timetable for when that may happen. Pablo Prigioni and J.R. Smith will see significant run Friday as the Knicks are incredibly shorthanded. Consider Shumpert out indefinitely.

It doesn't sound like he will return to action until mid-January at the earliest. Tim Hardaway will continue to be the primary beneficiary of his absence.

Shumpert (shouder) will be re-evaluated in approximately three weeks, the Bergen Record reports.
Shumpert avoided a serious injury to his finger earlier in the week but wasn't as lucky Friday, as he dislocated his left shoulder and had to be helped to the locker room just before halftime. An MRI on Saturday confirmed the diagnosis, and while surgery will not be necessary, Shumpert is looking at an extended absence. Tim Hardaway is the next man up at shooting guard for New York.

Shumpert broke out of his slump Sunday against the Blazers, posting 11 points, two rebounds, three assists, and two steals in 23 minutes of action.
Shumpert has been on a massive slump of late, but he's still getting a nod to solid minutes. He's still a fantasy asset thanks to his multi-category production, but he's by no means a must-own player at this point.

Shumpert scored seven points (3-9 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT) and added one assist and one block in 21 minutes against the Thunder Friday.
The entire starting lineup struggled Friday, shooting a combined 10-36 for only 28 percent. The Knicks were down by 32 at the end of the third quarter, and no starter played more than 23 minutes. Nothing about this game went as planned for the Knicks, and fantasy managers should avoid overreacting to its results.

Shumpert scored seven points (2-10 FG, 0-4 3P, 3-4 FT) with six rebounds, five assists and a steal in 30 minutes during Monday's loss to the Rockets.
Despite the poor shooting night, he was still able to contribute in other categories. Jose Calderon's return to action hasn't yet cost Shumpert any court time, but after shooting just 6-for-28 (21%) over his last three games that may begin to change.
Wed Nov 19 201401:11Shumpert (hip) had great return to lineup for Knicks on Tuesday
Shumpert (hip) had a great return to the lineup for the Knicks on Tuesday. He had sat out their previous game with a hip contusion but put up 21 points (9-14 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), eight rebounds, eight assists, three steals in 36 mintues as the starting small forward.
Shumpert is a great play in daily games right now, because his value for contests on most sites for Wednesday will remain at his salary from Tuesday. For the time being, it's worth rostering Shumpert in most standard leagues. While he could have sustained value, there's a chance Shumpert's value will take a big hit when Jose Calderon (calf) returns in the somewhat near future.

Shumpert (hip) went through shootaround Tuesday and said he feels like he can play, but the team's medical staff is yet to rule him in or out, Al Iannazonne of Newsday reports.
A hip contusion suffered in Friday's game has limited Shumpert to just two minutes over the last two contests. While he says he's ready to play, a decision from the Knicks' medical staff may not come until close to game-time, so be sure to monitor his status throughout the day.
Mon Nov 17 201413:49Shumpert (hip) plans to take part in Tuesday's shootaround
