G Austin Rivers (right ankle sprain) did not play Monday against the Thunder. Rivers, injured Saturday in a loss to the Rockets, probably won't play when the Clippers face the Lakers on Christmas night.

G Austin Rivers was fined $25,000 by the NBA after an incident on Wednesday night at Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento. NBA executive vice president of basketball operations Kiki VanDeWeghe announced the disciplinary action on Thursday. With 7:47 left in the fourth quarter of the Clippers' season opener against the Kings, Rivers flung a seat cushion into the stands that hit a spectator, who appeared to experience discomfort around her eyes for an extended period. Fans in the second-row area near where the woman was struck expressed concern and created a stir.

Rivers (mouth) practiced in full Tuesday, Dan Wokie of the OC Register reports.

Rivers had several teeth knocked out during practice near the end of last week, but after undergoing oral surgery, he's back on the floor Tuesday and it looks as though he will not be limited as the regular season approaches.

Rivers suffered a mouth injury during Friday's practice and will miss both of the games scheduled the Clippers have scheduled in China, the NBA.com reports.

Rivers will be re-evaluated in the coming days.

Rivers re-signed with the Clippers on SundayAdrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo!Sports reports.

The terms of the deal have yet to be disclosed, but as expected, Rivers will return to the Clippers and play another season for his father and coach, Doc Rivers. Rivers was traded to the Clippers mid-year from the Pelicans during the 2014-15 regular season. Playing in 41 games for them, Rivers finished with averages of 7.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 0.6 steals over 21 minutes per game. He'll likely see similar minutes moving forward as he remains the back-up point guard to Chris Paul.

Rivers recorded 7.1 points (43% FG, 31% 3Pt, 58% FT), 2.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.7 steals, and 0.2 blocks in 41 regular season games with the Clippers in 2014-15.

Acquired in January after playing his first two and a half seasons with the Pelicans, Rivers averaged 8.4 points (44% FG, 37% 3Pt, 63% FT), 1.7 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 0.7 steals, and 0.3 blocks in 18 minutes per game during 14 playoff games. In all likelihood, Rivers will remain the team's backup point guard in 2015-16, but his role will probably be somewhat limited unless Chris Paul is forced to miss time with injury.

Rivers has checked back into Tuesday's game after hurting his hip at the end of the third quarter, Arash Markazi of ESPN reports.

Rivers took a hard fall on a drive late in the third quarter and was examined by team trainers, but remained on the Clippers' bench. He has checked back into the game for Chris Paul and has three points in 15 minutes of action.

Rivers saw increased playing time again in Game 4 against the Rockets, and scored 12 points (5-9 FG, 2-3 3Pt) to go along with five rebounds, two blocks and a steal in 24 minutes.

With Chris Paul (hamstring) still limited, Rivers saw a larger role. In this series, which the Clippers lead 3-1, Rivers is averaging 16 points, three rebounds and 1.8 assists. He's also shooting 55.8 percent, which is way up from his regular season mark of 42.7.

Rivers scored 25 points (10-13 FG, 2-2 FT, 3-6 3Pt) to help lead the Clippers to a Game 3 victory against the Rockets.

Rivers returned to the bench at the return of Chris Paul, but still put up a strong performance. TO add to his scoring, he also contributed six rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one block.

Rivers posted 17 points, one rebound, three assists, and four steals in 28 minutes of action in Game 1 against the Rockets. He started for the injured Chris Paul.

Rivers had a rather solid performance in his Playoff start, though it doesn't appear like he'll hold the reigns for very long. With Chris Paul considered day-to-day moving forward, Rivers will need to make the most of his minutes while he has the chance.

Rivers will get the start at point guard in Monday's Game 1 against the Rockets, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Doc Rivers waited until just before game-time to announce his decision, but, as expected, it will be Rivers getting the nod in place of Paul. Rivers figures to see a significant jump in minutes, but he's about as unpredictable a player as they come, so he's a risky daily play. Expect Blake Griffin to play a larger role in the Clippers' offense, though the Rockets will certainly pay him more attention on the defensive side of the ball.

Rivers is likely to start Monday's Game 1 against the Rockets.

With Chris Paul (hamstring) ruled out, Rivers is the most likely candidate to fill in at point guard, though coach Doc Rivers is yet to offer confirmation. Rivers is obviously a massive downgrade from Paul, but he showed flashes of competence in Round 1 against the Spurs, putting up 16 points (7-8 FG) in Game 4 and 11 in Game 3. Rivers should see increased minutes regardless of whether he starts, though he likely won't be asked to take on much of the offensive burden.

Rivers failed to score (0-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt) with one rebound and one assist in the game seven win over the Spurs on Saturday.

After a big game four performance, Rivers has been mostly a non-factor in the final three games. He'll continue to pick up limited backup minutes behind J.J. Redick in round two against Houston.

Rivers helped the Clippers pull even with the Spurs in Game 4 by scoring 16 points off the bench (7-8 FG, 2-2 FT).

Rivers hit a buzzer beater at the half, which started his hot run. Rivers has been maligned since joining the Clippers, but this was by far his best performance of the season. In his past two games he's scored a combined 27 points.

Rivers (illness) logged two points and one rebound in 13 minutes of action in Sunday's Game 1 win against the Spurs.

Rivers has had a rather shaky career thus far, but it's encouraging to see him log his first Playoff game ever. He's stuck behind J.J. Redick and Jamal Crawford in the rotation, so he'll have to make the most of limited minutes moving forward.

Rivers is dealing with an illness and has been ruled out for Tuesday's game, the Orange County Register's Dan Woike reports.

This comes minutes before game time, so hopefully he was not widely owned in daily leagues. Rivers had been getting 15-20 minutes per night and those minutes will now likely go to a combination of Jamal Crawford and Lester Hudson. This is the Clippers' last game of the season, so Rivers can be dropped in full-season non-keeper leagues.

Rivers scored 21 points (9-10 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT) with three assists and two steals in just 19 minutes off the bench Wednesday.

The Clippers emptied their bench in the second half in a blowout win, and Rivers was the biggest beneficiary of the Knicks' reluctance to play defense. Even with Jamal Crawford (calf) sidelined though, Rivers isn't seeing enough minutes on most nights to have much fantasy value.
