Burke scored 28 points (10-16 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 4-6 FT) with six rebounds and six assists in the win over the Timberwolves on Saturday.
Burke bounced back from a woeful performance in the Friday loss to Atlanta (eight points, 2-of-19 on field goals, 0-11 on 3-pointers). He stands to take on a larger role in the offense with Alec Burks (shoulder) out for the season. Burke will have bad games like Friday's, but there is hope in Saturday's performance.

Burke had a horrendous night shooting the ball as he only put up eight points (2-19 FG, 0-11 3Pt, 4-4 FT), to go along with three rebounds, five assists, two steals and one block in 39 minutes against the Hawks on Friday.
With the season-ending injury to Alec Burks (shoulder), the month-long injury to Patrick Christopher (knee), and the week-long injury to Rodney Hood (foot), Burke is in store for large amounts of time on the court and significant shot attempts as well. That being said, Burke has continually struggled with his shot at the NBA level and will more than likely weigh down your team in that category if he continues to take at least 19 shots per game. There's a bright side to this of course, in that Burke may be able to improve upon the 11.7 points per contest that he's averaging this season, although that will likely be done through brute force rather than efficiency.

Burke scored nine points (3-10, 3-8 3Pt) and added one rebound, two assist and a steal in 29 minutes of action on Wednesday against the Miami Heat.
His shooting numbers aren't great in his last few outings. He has solid value some nights and less than average others. He is the epitome of a raw second-year guard: inconsistent. He retains value though, but be prepared for some bumps in the road.

Burke scored eight points (3-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT) and added one rebound, two assists and a steal in 32 minutes against the Spurs on Tuesday.
The second year pro is averaging 11.3 points, 5.8 assists, 0.9 steals and 1.5 three-pointers per game this season. These are solid numbers from the point guard position and his value shouldn't be overlooked as someone who gives you solid assist numbers and makes a three and adds a steal a game.

Burke scored 13 points, (4-15 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 4-6 FT) with three rebounds and 11 assists in 34 minutes during Friday's loss to the Magic.
Burke will be asked to handle the ball even more while Alec Burks misses time with his shoulder injury. This should equate to more assists as we saw in this game.

Burke scored 15 points (6-15 FG, 3-8 3P) with eight assists, three rebounds and a steal in 34 minutes during Wednesday's loss to the Raptors.
The consistency isn't there yet for the sophomore point guard, but Burke is now averaging 14.3 points, 6.2 assists and 2.2 threes over his last six games, useful numbers in just about any fantasy league.

Burke scored 18 points (8-14 FG, 1-2 3P, 1-1 FT) with 10 assists, three rebounds and two steals in 37 minutes during Monday's loss to the Bulls.
Burke has found another gear recently after his fairly slow start to the season, averaging 13.3 points, 7.4 assists, 1.3 threes and 1.0 steals over his last seven games.

Burke had a disappointing night on the court Friday as he only managed to record two points (1-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt), three rebounds, five assists, and one steal against the Warriors.
Burke has had trouble shooting the ball this season as he's averaging just 32 percent from the field. The second-year player struggled last season as well, shooting just 38 percent over 70 games. In fact, Burke is only faring better in terms of steals and blocks this season, otherwise he's digressed from his averages in all categories when compared to his rookie season.

Burke had a rough night shooting the ball Monday against the Pacers as he only put up five points (2-12 FG, 1-8 3Pt) to go along with two rebounds, eight assists, and two steals.
Burke's poor shooting performance Monday exemplifies his struggles this season as he's averaging a lowly 30.3 percent from the field over the first eight games. This average is certainly lower than during his rookie campaign (38.0), although the former Michigan standout hasn't proven that he can be an effective shooter in the NBA. Keeping that in mind, owners have to acknowledge this deficiency and put value in Burke for his assists, steals, and three-pointers.

Burke (knee) was able to put up 15 points (6-16 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), one rebound and four assists during 38 minutes on the court against the Rockets on Wednesday.
Burke missed Tuesday's practice with minor tendinitis in his knee, although it didn't seem to affect him at all during his 15-point performance. The most important number for Burke in the opening game of the season was 38; the number of minutes he spent on the court. There was some doubt that Burke wouldn't be afforded the lion's share of minutes with the addition of rookie Dante Exum in the Utah backcourt. However, Exum was never in foul trouble and only played 10 minutes against the Rockets. If Wednesday's opening game was any indication for how the season will shape out, Burke will be given all the minutes he can handle without the threat of Exum compromising Burke's value.

Burke (knee) will play in Wednesday's regular season opener, the Salt Lake Tribune reports.
Burke sat out Tuesday's practice due to tendinitis in his left knee, but will be good to go for Wednesday's opening game versus Houston. The rising second-year player is expected to start at point guard, after averaging over 17 points and six assists during the preseason. Fantasy owners should deploy Burke as they normally would Wednesday.

Burke (knee) did not practice Tuesday but remains probable to play in Wednesday's season opener, Aaron Falk of the Salt Lake Tribune reports.
Burke missed practice due to tendinitis in his left patella, but the fact that he's considered probable intimates that the issue isn't anything serious. If Burke is hampered going forward, Alec Burks, as well as rookie Dante Exum, could see some run at point guard.
Sat Oct 25 201401:02Burke's option for 2015-16 season exercised by Jazz
Burke's option for the 2015-16 season has been exercised by the Jazz.
This was likely a no-brainer for Utah, as Burke earned All-NBA Rookie First Team honors last season by averaging 12.8 points, 3.0 rebounds and a team-leading 5.7 assists in 32.3 minutes. His contract is now fully guaranteed through the end of next season.

Burke has played in five preseason games while averaging 17.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 6.4 assists during 29.6 minutes on the court.
Burke is expected to be the starting point guard for the Jazz when they start their regular season campaign against the Rockets on Wednesday. That being said, he'll have rookie Dante Exum breathing down his neck trying to win the time share at the helm of new coach Quin Snyder's offense. There is plenty of time on the court available for both players to be fantasy relevant this season, although Burke has the advantage of a decent rookie season already under his belt.

Burke is projected to be the starting point guard over rookie Dante Exum this upcoming season, the Salt Lake Tribune reports.
This shouldn't come as much of a surprise, but the initial practices of training camp seem to confirm what was already thought to be. However, Burke will have to give way to the rookie import from Australia at times, which could ultimately pose problems for Burke's value towards the end of the season if Exum learns things quickly. New coach Quin Snyder continues to stress the importance of Burke during Utah's 2014-15 campaign, so it seems safe to assume that the product of Michigan will spend significant time as the floor general for the Jazz this season.
Fri Jul 18 201419:42Trey Burke (illness) not playing on Friday
Trey Burke will not play on Friday due to an illness.
He had an up-and-down summer league next to Dante Exum. Burke shot just 30.4 percent from the field and he's now put up two horrible shooting performances in a row after making just 24 percent last summer. He'll have to have a big season to keep Exum at bay.

Sun Jun 29 201414:40Trey Burke to play for Jazz at Summer League
Trey Burke will play for the Jazz during Summer League.
The arrival of Dante Exum in Utah has complicated Burke's fantasy outlook, since the Jazz may not be able to routinely play them together in the backcourt. Burke averaged 12.8 points, 1.6 triples and 5.7 assists as a rookie, but he shot 38.0 percent from the field and only chipped in 0.6 steals per game, resulting in middling fantasy value. We'll be closely monitoring the Jazz throughout the summer and preseason to determine how well Burke and Exum can co-exist.

Thu May 22 201414:28Trey Burke earns All-Rookie First Team honors
Trey Burke was named to the All-Rookie First Team on Thursday.
Despite missing the first 12 games of the regular season, Burke managed to average 12.8 points and a team-high 5.7 assists. His numbers were slightly below expectation, but a slow start and a fractured index finger may have been the cause for his production. Still, Burke has potential explosive scoring potential and can perhaps be a mid-to-late round fantasy steal next season.

Wed Apr 16 201423:57Trey Burke scores career-high 32 points in W
Trey Burke scored a career-high 32 points against the Wolves during a 136-130 win on Wednesday, adding seven boards, nine assists, one steal and two 3-pointers on 10-of-21 from the field.
He was the favorite to win Rookie of the Year out of the gate, but failing to score consistently really hurt his production. Burke needs to get more confidence around the rim and stop settling for jumpers. If he can do that and maybe work on his defense, he could be a starter for a while despite being just 6'1".
