Wed Jun 5 201308:42Jason Terry has arthroscopic knee surgery
Jason Terry recently underwent arthroscopic knee surgery and is expected to be ready for training camp.
Terry's procedure was to "remove the plica from his left knee." The plica is "described as an extension of the protective synovial capsule of the knee," and it has the potential to become irritated. "I saw him today, and he looked great," Danny Ainge said. We're not very concerned.

Mon May 6 201310:26Jason Terry wants clarity in his role w/ C's
Jason Terry wants his role to be "defined" next season with the Celtics.
Terry dismissed the notion of retirement. "I have to get back to Sixth Man of the Year form," he said. Terry was a disappointment for the majority of Boston's season, and put bluntly, he'll need to play better in order to regain his previous form.

Wed May 1 201322:11Jason Terry scores 17 off bench in Game 5 win
Jason Terry hit five 3-pointers in Wednesday's surprising 92-86 Game 5 win at Madision Square Garden, while adding 17 points, four boards, three assists, one steal and one block in 35 minutes.
After falling apart down the stretch this season, Terry has really turned it on and showed some confidence in a post-game interview on TNT. "I'm a 14-year veteran. If you don't know who I am by now, you will after this series is over with," Terry said. The Knicks will have to honor Terry's shooting on defense and Game 6 in Boston on Friday night should be interesting.

Sun Apr 28 201316:12Jason Terry scores nine in OT for Game 4 win
Jason Terry finished strong in Sunday's 97-90 win over the Knicks with nine points in overtime, finishing with 18 points, four assists, one steal and one 3-pointer on 7-of-10 shooting in 41 minutes.
This hasn't been Terry's finest series and this game was his first in which he shot over 45 percent. Terry hit a huge triple in transition during overtime to help the put the Celtics up for good. Backcourt scoring has been an issue for Boston for most of the season and they'll still have their work cut out for them to take Game 5 on Wednesday.

Sun Apr 28 201312:02Jason Terry to go back to bench for Game 4
Jason Terry will head back to the bench for Sunday's Game 4 vs. New York.
Terry started Game 3 with the Celtics searching desperately for some offense, but the one-game experiment was exactly that: Just an experiment. Terry will go back to his sixth man role, but he's had trouble being effective against the Knicks throughout the first round.

Sat Apr 27 201310:43Rivers not sure if Terry will start on Sunday
Doc Rivers said he's not sure if Jason Terry will remain in the starting lineup for Sunday's Game 4.
Terry got the call Friday, with Rivers hoping Terry's presence in the lineup would take pressure off Avery Bradley. It didn't work. Bradley had his worst game of the series, scoring two points on 1-of-4 shooting to go along with one rebound, one steal and no assists. Terry, however, responded with possibly his best game in the loss, scoring 14 points to go along with three 3-pointers, two steals, two assists and one rebound. With the Celtics down 3-0, Rivers is basically grasping at straws.

Fri Apr 26 201320:03Jason Terry starting, Brandon Bass off bench
Jason Terry is starting in favor of Brandon Bass against the Knicks on Friday.
"We can add more guards on the floor at times," Doc River said. It's a curious move and Terry was much worse as a starter for Boston this year. In his 24 starts, he shot 41.2 percent from the field compared to the 44.5 percent he shot coming off the bench. It should be interesting to see how the lineup change works for Boston in a must-win Game 3.

Sat Apr 20 201317:51Jason Terry returns and plays terribly
Jason Terry (leg) had a rough afternoon against the Knicks on Saturday, failing to score with three boards and one block.
The Boston bench scored just four points -- all from Courtney Lee -- and Terry probably won't see 20 minutes of playing time with this type of performance. He didn't play in the last two games, but the chalking up today's game to rust isn't a justified excuse.

Wed Apr 17 201319:04Celtics to rest Jason Terry on Wednesday
Jason Terry (sore legs) will not play Wednesday night.
The Celtics are resting Terry for the postseason, along with Kevin Garnett, who is also sitting out the regular-season finale. If you were using him, get him out of your lineup tonight. Courtney Lee should take care of Terry's minutes off the bench.

Mon Apr 15 201312:09Jason Terry will not play on Tuesday night
Jason Terry (sore legs) will not play in Tuesday's game and may be rested on Wednesday as well.
The Celtics take on the Pacers on Tuesday, and Indiana is expected to rest their key players, but Doc Rivers expects just about everyone beyond Terry to play vs. the Pacers. As for Wednesday's game vs. the Raptors, expect the regulars to rest for that one with the Celtics locked into seventh place.

Sun Apr 14 201313:02Update: Jason Terry may be rested Tue & Wed
Jason Terry was rested on Saturday, and he may sit out the Celtics' final games on Tuesday and/or Wednesday, but he has not been suspended.
We reported that Terry might be suspended due to comments he made about the Magic being "terrible," but Doc Rivers is merely resting his veteran guard in anticipation of the playoffs. The end result of Terry's absence is the same -- more playing time for Courtney Lee and Jordan Crawford.

Sat Apr 13 201318:14Jason Terry could be suspended three games
Jason Terry will not play in Saturday's game against the Magic and could be suspended for the rest of the regular season.
Terry wasn't exactly smart about his pre-game comments for today's game against Orlando. "I don't want to give them any fuel, but they're terrible," Terry said about the Magic. Doc Rivers quipped about suspending him for "running his mouth" and it's probably warranted, especially with Boston losing five of their last seven. He can be cut in all leagues and look for Jordan Crawford to pick up most of the scoring slack at shooting guard.

Fri Apr 12 201311:32Jason Terry could be next in line for rest
Jason Terry is expected to receive some rest before the Celtics end their season.
Terry will play Friday vs. Miami, but the veteran has already said he "won't fight it" when Doc Rivers wants to give him some time off. That could happen as early as Saturday vs. the Magic with Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce due back from their sore ankles.

Fri Mar 29 201323:00Terry scores 24 points on Friday vs. Hawks
Jason Terry scored 24 points off the bench on Friday, hitting 7-of-10 shots (including five threes) with one rebound and one assist in 31 minutes.
Terry has been brutal lately and he needs to follow this up with another solid outing unless you're hunting a 3-point specialist.

Tue Mar 26 201322:28Jason Terry scores 10 off Celtics bench
Jason Terry had 10 points, two 3-pointers and not much else in 22 minutes off the Celtics bench on Tuesday.
Jordan Crawford got the start for an injured Courtney Lee tonight, and with Lee seemingly close to a return, Terry probably deserves to be left on waiver wires for now.

Fri Mar 22 201309:44Jason Terry promises to turn up aggression
Jason Terry promised to "get more aggressive" after not scoring in 20 minutes of action against the Hornets on Wednesday.
Terry's season has been defined by inconsistency, but we have a feeling he'll be looking to prove a point against his former Mavericks team on Friday. "I'm going to be super-aggressive. We'll see what happens," he said. Terry's only exceeded 25 minutes three times in March, so he'll likely have to do whatever damage he intends on doing in limited action.

Fri Mar 15 201311:31Jason Terry taking Friday's practice to rest
Jerry Terry (rest) did not practice on Friday.
We're not even marking him sidelined because the Celtics will give Terry, Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett time off in practice at certain points in order to keep them fresh. Terry said he has no intention of missing any games, so we expect him to play Saturday against the Bobcats.

Sat Mar 9 201301:58Terry scores 19 points with fat line vs. ATL
Jason Terry scored 19 points off the bench on Friday, hitting 5-of-11 shots (3-of-3 from deep, 6-of-6 from the line) with four rebounds, five assists and two steals in 36 minutes.
Terry has heat up over the last week or so and is worth a look if he was dropped in your league. Given the Celtics' shallow squad and the need to rest veterans, he profiles well as a guy that needs to be fed by Doc Rivers after a season of watching everybody else shoot.

Tue Mar 5 201322:27Jason Terry scores nine in Tuesday's win
Jason Terry had nine points, three rebounds and six assists in 26 minutes on Tuesday.
He appeared to get some extra run when Courtney Lee failed to return after suffering an eye injury, but this is probably about as much as Terry owners can hope for from night to night, with or without Lee. He normally sees more run at point guard as well, but Avery Bradley caught fire tonight, so Doc Rivers didn't need Terry at the point for too long.

Tue Feb 26 201300:21Jason Terry scores 14 points with four treys
Jason Terry scored 14 points with four 3-pointers in 24 minutes off the bench on Monday.
Terry hit 5-of-13 shots and got chewed out for messing up an offensive set late, and while this gets him back on the radar he still hasn't been performing well enough to be owned in standard formats. Jordan Crawford has been out of the picture during this time, too, so needless to say Terry has issues outside of deeper formats, but we'll keep an eye to see if he can get hot.
