Humphries started at power forward for the injured Nene (foot) scoring 11 points (4-8 FG, 3-4 FT) with 15 rebounds and one assist in 33 minutes during Wednesday's loss to the Suns.

Humphries has 40 rebounds over his last three games. However, he needs a long term injury in the Wizards front court to become fantasy relevant in standard leagues.

Humphries will start for Nene (foot) on Wednesday in Phoenix.

Humphries is receiving the opportunity due to Nene's sore right foot, which is yet another in a line of injuries for the Brazilian forward. In 15 starts this season, Humphries has averaged 8.2 points (on 42 percent shooting), 7.3 boards, and 0.9 steals in 26 minutes.

Humphries put up 21 points (9-13 FG, 3-4 FT), 14 rebounds, and one assist in 33 minutes off the bench Sunday.

Humphries earned some minutes over starting center Marcin Gortat, even playing the overtime period instead of Gortat. However, that's not the norm. Humphries is a backup behind Gortat and Nene, and through the 28 games he's come off the bench this season, Humphries has averaged 7.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 0.4 blocks in 19 minutes per game. Those aren't bad numbers per minute, but Hump isn't getting enough run to be of use in standard leagues.

Humphries returned to the bench Thursday after starting over Nene Hilario for several games, scoring 14 points (7-6 FG) and grabbing six rebounds in a win over the Knicks.

Humphries played more minutes than Hilario and is on pace to average his most minutes in a season since the 2011-12 season. Humphries is shooting just over 4 percent better off the bench than when he's a starter this season, but averages 2.3 fewer rebounds. Because of the minutes distribution, neither Humphries nor Hilario are great fantasy options.

Humphries will move to the bench for Thursday's game against the Knicks, MSG Network reports.

Humphries had been holding down the starting power forward role for the Wizards for most of December while Nene battled injuries, but it looks like coach Randy Wittman is finally confident that Nene can handle a larger minutes load. There had been some hints that Humphries might be moved to the bench, as he had seen just 13, 20 and 21 minutes over his last three games, after previously seeing minutes in the high-20s. It might be still worthwhile for fantasy owners to stash Humphries given Nene's historic fragility, but he's probably not a strong option to keep active now that he's coming off the bench.

Humphries only played 13 minutes Friday in a win over the Heat, his lowest minute total since Nov. 5.

Injury doesn't seem to be a factor here. Humphries started once again with Nene coming off the bench for the Wizards, but he went just 2-for-7 from the floor for four points in his 13 minutes and had just two rebounds. Owners will want to continue to monitor the situation to see if Nene gets his starting spot back.

Humphries started Tuesday's game against the Timberwolves, scoring six points (2-3 FG, 2-2 FT) in 27 minutes.

Humphries simply wasn't very much involved in the offense, but was big on the defensive end, grabbing nine defensive rebounds (10 total) and blocking two shots. He's been starting recently over Nene Hilario, who is coming off the bench after his knee injury. Humphries could continue to start, but don't expect much offensive output from him.

Humphries scored two points, grabbed four rebounds, one assist, and a block in 26 minutes on Sunday.

Humphries couldn't really get too much going against Utah, but the note from this game was the fact that he remained the starter with Nene back for the third game in a row. Nene was slightly more effective tonight, but Humphries has the opportunity to become a starter if he is able to back up his minutes with production.

Humphries put up six points (3-7 FG), one assist, one block, two steals and grabbed a season high 20 rebounds in 30 minutes during Wednesday's win against the Lakers.

Humphries has been starting with Nene Hilario out with a foot injury. This was his third double digit rebounding game in his last five outings. If you need help in that category then Humphries is a great option while Nene is out.

Humphries pulled down a season high 11 rebounds Saturday to go with the eight points (3-6 FG, 2-2 FT) and one steal he also racked up in 26 minutes.

In the three starts Humphries has made with Nene (foot) sidelined, the big man has averaged 8.0 rebounds per game and has twice grabbed double-digit boards. As long as Nene remains out, Humphries is a fairly reliable source of rebounds for fantasy owners, but his impact is limited to that category.

Humphries will start at power forward Tuesday.

Nene (foot) will not play, making Humphries a good source of rebounds in daily leagues, as he should see around 30 minutes, with Drew Gooden also seeing run off the bench.

Humphries scored 12 points to go with nine rebounds in Saturday's win over the Bucks.

Nene was limited by a right foot injury, so Humphries was able to soak up increased minutes in the second half. He's now played at least 20 minutes in each of his last five games and could have added value if Nene misses any time. On the season, Humphries is averaging 6.8 points and 4.7 rebounds per game.

Humphries scored 16 points (8-12 FG) with six rebounds in 26 minutes in the win over Orlando on Saturday.

Humphries has been earning more playing time of late and has played 51 minutes in his last two games. If he continues to see minutes in the mid-20s, he could be a decent rebounding-based add.

Humphries did not log any minutes in Tuesday's 98-83 win over the Knicks.

Humphries has barely played since the Wizards' opener, for which a few players were suspended. He and fellow offseason acquisition DeJuan Blair have surprisingly been non-factors, while holdovers Drew Gooden and Kevin Seraphin have been getting most of the frontcourt minutes off the bench. It won't be surprising if Humphries and/or Blair eventually settle(s) into a bigger role, but for now, both are mostly observers on gameday.

Humphries returned from a thumb injury on Wednesday, but played just three minutes in Thursday's game against the Magic.

With Nene back from suspension, he started for the Wizards, and Drew Gooden played 20 minutes off the bench. It's unclear at this time if Humphries' thumb was still bothering him, but he did play 13 minutes in the season opener against the Heat. Owners of all the Wizards power forwards will want to monitor the minutes distribution going forward.

Drew Gooden, of all people, will get the start at power forward Wednesday, with Nene suspended.

Humphries (finger) is expected to be available for Wednesday's season opener against the Heat.

Humphries underwent surgery earlier in the month to correct a nerve issue in his right pinkie. He returned to practice Monday and, barring a setback, will be available off the bench Wednesday. Humphries will have a chance to be a regular contributor this season, and he'll compete with journeyman extraordinaire Drew Gooden for the backup power forward spot.

The original timetable was for Humphries to miss 3-to-4 weeks, so this is right in line with that original prognosis. Consider him questionable for the season opener, and we should see him back in game action in the very near future.

This means he will almost certainly miss the start of the regular season. Humphries was already a low-end fantasy option this season, as he'll be a bench option on a team that figures to ride its starters. That said, in deeper leagues, he could offer some significant rebounding totals off the bench once healthy.

Kris Humphries and the Wizards have agreed to a three-year, $13 million contract, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

Washington failed to retain Trevor Booker, who signed with the Jazz, but they quickly moved to lock up Humphries as depth behind Marcin Gortat and Nene. Humphries showed last season that he can still be very effective, but he's unlikely to have fantasy value unless injuries strike the Wizards' frontcourt.
