Sat Dec 14 201301:07Jodie Meeks takes 16 shots in loss
Jodie Meeks matched his season-high 16 shot attempts in Friday's loss to the Thunder, making three of them for nine points with two boards, one assist and two 3-pointers in 36 minutes.
There are a lot of positives here. The biggest is the minute total and Meeks getting 16 shots bodes well for his value, too. The well has run completely dry at point guard for the Lakers, so Meeks will get most of the work at shooting guard with Kobe Bryant changing his role to more of a facilitator. Meeks is worth a look for any owner looking to bolster their 3-pointers.

Wed Dec 11 201302:04Jodie Meeks scores 13 in start for Lakers
Jodie Meeks replaced Wes Johnson in the starting lineup on Tuesday and hit 5-of-10 shots and a 3-pointer for 13 points, five rebounds and one steal in 33 minutes.
Johnson came off the bench and had five points in 20 minutes, and it's unclear what Mike D'Antoni's next move will be. But if Meeks sticks in the starting lineup going forward, dropping Johnson to pick him up makes a lot of sense.

Tue Dec 10 201315:22Jodie Meeks to start w/ Kobe over Wes Johnson
Jodie Meeks will replace Wes Johnson in the Lakers' starting lineup on Tuesday, as Mike D'Antoni makes good on his decision to "shake up" his rotation.
Meeks scored 14 points in 35 minutes in Kobe's return, whereas Johnson only had two points in 25 minutes, so this move isn't unexpected. Both guys should pitch in their fair share of 3-pointers but Meeks, by virtue of the starting job, is the more appealing fantasy option.

Mon Dec 9 201300:41Jodie Meeks has 14 points in new bench role
Jodie Meeks shifted to the bench on Sunday but still scored 14 points on 6-of-12 shooting with two 3-pointers in 35 minutes.
Nick Young added a team-high 19 points with two 3-pointers of his own in under 30 minutes, while Shawne Williams had a pair of 3s on his way to 10 points in 23 minutes. All five of the Lakers' reserves scored double-digit points tonight, yet Kobe Bryant led all starters with nine points. There's value to be had among Meeks, Young, Williams and Wes Johnson, even with Kobe back in action, but it'll take a sixth-sense to know when and where it's coming.

Sun Dec 8 201314:06Jodie Meeks moves to bench w/ Kobe at SG
Jodie Meeks will slide to a bench role with Kobe Bryant (Achilles) returning as the Lakers' starting SG on Sunday.
Meeks is shattering his previous career-high with a true-shooting percentage of 65.7 percent, but he'll need to stay razor-sharp to hold fantasy value as more than a 3-point specialist off the bench. Nick Young and Wes Johnson also stand to lose out with Kobe back in action, but Kobe's minutes will initially be limited and it remains to be seen how Mike D'Antoni deploys his clutch of swingmen.

Sat Dec 7 201303:42Meeks hits five threes for 19 points
Jodie Meeks gave owners a going away present with 19 points and five 3-pointers over 33 minutes in Friday's win.
Meeks hit 7-of-11 shots and also added three rebounds and one assist. Kobe is returning to the starting lineup on Sunday, and whether or not he takes Meeks' spot he's going to necessarily cut into his value. In theory Meeks could hit enough threes to have some value, but we wouldn't pass on a hot free agent to find out. The same goes for Nick Young, who scored 14 points on 6-of-16 shooting with three rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block.

Sat Nov 23 201305:04Meeks hits two threes for eight points
Jodie Meeks scored eight points on 3-of-10 shooting with two threes, one rebound and one steal in Friday's win over the Warriors.
Meeks is worth owning while Kobe Bryant is out, but when Kobe returns in the next week or so it's time to cut bait.

Sat Nov 16 201304:38Meeks bounces back with 25 points
Jodie Meeks bounced back from a three-point outing on Wednesday to score 25 points in the Lakers' 89-86 loss to the Grizzlies, hitting 10-of-16 shots (including five threes) with three rebounds and a steal in 38 minutes.
Mike D'Antoni loves him and while that doesn't guarantee Meeks unfettered play, it gives him the benefit of the doubt. Unless he goes on a prolonged cold streak, owners should ride out the waves until Kobe Bryant returns and all bets are off.

Wed Nov 13 201302:29Jodie Meeks starts, scores 15 in easy win
Jodie Meeks started for the Lakers at shooting guard and hit 5-of-7 shots and three 3-pointers for 15 points, three rebounds and a steal on Tuesday.
With Steve Nash out for the foreseeable future, Meeks, Steve Blake, Jordan Farmar, Nick Young and Xavier Henry are all going to see a bigger role for the Lakers. All of them put up decent numbers tonight, much of it coming in garbage time, but Meeks looks like a sneaky source of threes until further notice. Just expect some inconsistency along the way, especially as Mike D'Antoni continues to tinker with his lineup from night to night.

Sat Nov 9 201304:23Meeks scores 11 points in start at SG
Jodie Meeks scored 11 points in a start at shooting guard on Friday, hitting 4-of-10 shots (including two threes) with three rebounds and one steal in 42 minutes.
The minutes are a great sign but the mediocre production and wobbly rotation make him a speculative short-term add at best, even if he is producing at a late-round value on the year so far. His cohorts were all over the board, as expected, with Nick Young scoring 13 points with one trey in 28 minutes, Wes Johnson scoring three points with five rebounds, three assists and a trey in 21 minutes, and Xavier Henry disappearing for six points in 16 minutes. On the whole this is a group to avoid.

Fri Nov 8 201318:35Jodie Meeks moving into starting lineup
Jodie Meeks will start at shooting guard against the Pelicans on Friday.
He's coming off an 18-point, five-triple game against the Rockets on Thursday, so coach Mike D'Antoni wants to keep the hot hand going. Meeks is a good bet for a couple triples and could score in the teens again.

Fri Nov 8 201300:42Jodie Meeks hits five 3-pointers, scores 18
Jodie Meeks made five 3-pointers on his way to 18 points, three boards, one assist and one turnover on 6-of-9 shooting at Houston on Thursday
Coach Mike D'Antoni has called upon Meeks here and there during his tenure, and he called his number tonight. It's hard to get too attached to the idea of picking up Meeks since his playing time will undoubtedly take a hit upon Kobe Bryant's return.

Thu Oct 31 201302:49Jodie Meeks scores 14 in loss to GSW
Jodie Meeks had 14 points, three rebounds and a 3-pointer in 22 minutes in a start for the Lakers on Wednesday.
He'll be good for some points and 3-pointers for as long as Kobe Bryant is out, but that's about it.

Wed Oct 30 201302:41Jodie Meeks drops 13 points vs. Clippers
Jodie Meeks played 26 minutes off the bench on Tuesday during the Lakers' win over the Clippers with a line of 13 points, three boards, two assists, one steal and three 3-pointers.
He shot 4-of-8 from the field and took six attempts from downtown. If Meeks gets six shots per night from that range, he could be a 3-point specialist in deeper leagues.

Wed Oct 23 201301:29Jodie Meeks scores 15 off Lakers bench
Jodie Meeks hit 5-of-9 shots and two 3-pointers for 15 points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals on Tuesday.
With Kobe Bryant's opening night in serious doubt, Meeks could be called on to hit a lot of threes off the bench. Just keep an eye on him.

Wed Sep 18 201309:41Jodie Meeks (ankle) looks good on Tuesday
Jodie Meeks (ankle) participated in the Lakers' team workouts on Tuesday.
The partially torn ligaments in Meeks' ankle have "healed nicely" and he was "moving well," according to Mike Trudell of Lakers.com. He'll be ready for opening night and could begin the season with a sizable role if Kobe Bryant is still sidelined by his Achilles injury.

Tue Aug 20 201310:57Meeks 'should be healthy' for Lakers' opener
Jodie Meeks is still rehabbing partially torn ligaments in his left ankle, but he "should be fully healthy" for opening night.
Meeks was cleared for full-contact drills six weeks ago. He could have an expanded role if Kobe Bryant (Achilles) misses time to begin the season, but he still faces SG competition from Nick Young, Jordan Farmar and Steve Blake.

Wed Jun 26 201317:17Lakers exercise team option on Jodie Meeks
The Lakers have exercised their option on Jodie Meeks.
This isn't surprising considering Meeks delivered solid value last season. Meeks, who is rehabbing a partially torn ligament in his ankle, will make $1.55 million under the terms of the option and should be a decent role player for the Lakers next season.

Mon Apr 29 201318:52Jodie Meeks says ankle should be OK shortly
Jodie Meeks says his ankle should be OK in a short time.
Meeks suffered a partial ligament tear in his ankle and only played in Game 1 of the Lakers' opening-round series loss. Meeks said Monday he still has trouble getting a shoe on but with all summer to rest, Meeks should be fine by training camp.

Sat Apr 27 201316:28Jodie Meeks will not play on Sunday vs. Spurs
Jodie Meeks (ankle) will not play against the Spurs on Sunday.
He has a partial ligament tear in his ankle and he never really had much of a shot to play. The Lakers have been using D-League MVP Andrew Goudelock at shooting guard and there's a good chance their turbulent season comes to an end on Sunday.
