Sun Feb 20 202213:42Bo Bichette Having Normal Offseason
Despite Major League Baseball's lockout since early December, Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette said his ramp-up before spring training has been largely unchanged. Bichette has been getting swings in a batting cage and at a local high school field with teammates Danny Jansen, Teoscar Hernandez and Santiago Espinal. He has also worked closely with his father and former big-leaguer, Dante Bichette, after he resigned from his role as Blue Jays special assistant during the lockout. The 23-year-old really impressed in his first full season in the majors in 2021, hitting .298 with 29 home runs, 102 RBI, 121 runs and 25 stolen bases in 159 games. Bichette loses some luster in leagues that count on-base percentage due to a low walk rate, but his incredible 2021 campaign has made him a mid-first-round pick in fantasy drafts.

Wed Sep 15 202108:35Bo Bichette Hitting .333/.377/.526 In September
Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette has been locked in at the plate in September so far after struggling a bit in August. Last month, he slashed .250/.293/.343 with just two home runs. His .636 OPS in August was his lowest month-long OPS of the year. However, through 14 games in September, Bichette has already tallied three home runs and six multi-hit efforts while slashing .333/.377/.526. Bichette has 24 home runs and 22 stolen bases on the year to go along with a stellar .291/.340/.463 slash line. His all-around proficiency makes him an extremely valuable asset in all rotisserie leagues and head-to-head categories leagues.

Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette had a solid game in the team's 5-4 win over the Baltimore Orioles on Wednesday. He went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and two runs scored. He is now riding a seven-game hitting streak that has included two doubles and a home run. He's only struck out a total of three times over the seven-game stretch. The 23-year-old is slashing .286/.336/.455 over 129 games on the year. He has 21 home runs, 21 stolen bases, 81 RBI and 98 runs. He's been a standout performer in all fantasy formats, but has been especially valuable in rotisserie leagues and head-to-head categories leagues thanks to his versatility. Tue Aug 17 202122:35Bo Bichette Swipes 18th Bag In Loss
Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette went 2-for-5 in Tuesday's contest versus the Nationals as his club was defeated 12-6. The 23-year-old has moved back into the two-hole in the lineup with George Springer back on the shelf as he recorded a pair of singles while swiping his 18th bag of the season. Bichette is well on his way to a 20/20 campaign as he currently sits with 20 HR, 90 runs, 77 RBI, and a .287 BA, proving to be one of the top five-category contributors in the majors. His move back up the order will see him finding more run opportunities than RBI chances, but anywhere near the top of the Jays batting order is prime real estate for all counting stats.

Wed Aug 11 202120:18Bo Bichette Not In Lineup Due To Shin Soreness
Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette (shin) is not in the lineup on Wednesday night due to an issue with his shin, according to Kaitlyn McGrath of The Athletic. McGrath reports that Bichette is dealing with shin contusions, and was feeling sore after Tuesday's doubleheader. Bichette is currently being considered day-to-day, and manager Charlie Montoyo said that the team does not believe this issue will require a stint on the injured list. With Bichette out Wednesday, Marcus Semien is getting the start at shortstop while Breyvic Valera enters the lineup at second base and is batting eighth in the order. Managers should keep an eye out for further updates on Bichette's condition, but expect him to return within the next few days.

Sat Jul 31 202102:55Joey Votto homers for 7th straight game, 1 shy of MLB record
NEW YORK (AP) — Joey Votto homered for the seventh straight game, one shy of a major league record, and the Cincinnati Reds beat the New York Mets 6-2 on Friday night. Jonathan India went deep twice for the Reds, including a leadoff shot that came on Carlos Carrasco’s first pitch with the Mets. Acquired from Cleveland in January, the veteran right-hander finally made his New York debut after recovering from a hamstring injury. It was an up-and-down day for the Mets, who made a big deal to get Javier Báez from the Chicago Cubs before baseball’s trade deadline — and then revealed injured ace Jacob deGrom will be shut down for two more weeks because of inflammation in his pitching elbow, making it unlikely he’ll rejoin the NL East leaders before September. Báez was acquired from the Cubs along with right-hander Trevor Williams for outfield prospect Pete Crow-Armstrong, the Mets’ first-round pick in the 2020 amateur draft. Báez is expected to join the Mets on Saturday and will play shortstop... [More]
