Feldman allowed one run on four hits and a walk over eight innings Thursday against Cleveland, but struck out just two and didn't receive a decision.
While Feldman missed even fewer bats than usual in this game, he continues to generate a lot of ground balls and pitch efficiently, having gone eight or more innings thrice in his last five starts. He's scheduled to take on the Rangers on Wednesday.

Feldman allowed three runs (two earned) on seven hits with no walks and six strikeouts over 8.1 innings Saturday, but took no decision against the A's.
Feldman (8-10) pitched into the ninth inning for the second straight start, but gave up a couple of hits before Oakland rallied for a 4-3 win off Astros closer Chad Qualls. Feldman will carry a 3.99 ERA into his next scheduled start on Saturday against the Angels.

Feldman pitched a complete game three-hit shutout of the Rangers on Saturday, striking out five while walking only one for his eighth win of the season.
Feldman (8-10) stifled his former team for the second shutout of his career. However, the veteran right-hander has a 4.66 ERA in three starts this season against his next opponent Oakland.

Feldman took the loss Monday against the A's, allowing three runs on seven hits and a walk with five strikeouts over seven innings.
Feldman (7-10) certainly pitched well enough to win the game, but the Astros' offense fell flat against Jeff Samardzija and the Athletics. The veteran right-hander will carry a 4.34 ERA into his next scheduled start against the Rangers on Saturday. Feldman is 1-0 with a 3.44 ERA in three starts against his former team this season.

Feldman limited the Yankees to two runs on eight hits and two walks with seven strikeouts over 6.2 innings to earn his seventh win of the season on Wednesday.
Feldman's seven strikeouts were a season high. In 23 starts with the Astros this season, the veteran right-hander is 7-9 with a 4.37 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 78:42 K:BB through 136 innings. He lines up for a home start against Oakland on Monday.

Feldman was tagged for seven runs on nine hits and two walks with one strikeout over 5.1 innings in Thursday's loss to the Red Sox.
Feldman, who cruised through five innings having allowed just one run and four hits, snowballed in the sixth inning and fell to 6-9 this season with the loss. The 31-year-old veteran will carry a 4.45 ERA into his next scheduled start against the Yankees on Wednesday.
Mon Aug 4 201408:30Scott Feldman:
Feldman pitched a complete game Sunday, limiting the Blue Jays to one run on eight hits and two walks with two strikeouts for his fifth victory of the season.
Six of Feldman's last eight outings have been quality starts, and his ERA is down to 4.13 this season. The veteran right-hander lines up to face his old team in a home start against the Rangers on Saturday.
Thu Jul 31 201409:30Astros have made Scott Feldman available
Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reports that the Astros have made right-hander Scott Feldman available.
But the 30-year-old right-hander signed a three-year, $30 million contract with Houston last offseason and hasn't pitched well enough to justify it, so the Astros may have a hard time finding a trade partner. Feldman owns a 4.39 ERA and 1.42 WHIP in 19 starts this season.

Feldman took no decision Tuesday night, permitting only one run on five hits and three walks with one strikeout over seven solid innings against the A's.
Feldman (4-8) was actually in line to win his fifth game of the season, but the Astros' bullpen gave up the lead by allowing six runs in the top of the ninth inning. Feldman will carry a 4.39 ERA into his next scheduled start Sunday against Toronto.
Tue Jul 29 201423:48Feldman limits A's to one run over seven
Scott Feldman kept the A's to one run on five hits over seven innings but walked away with a no-decision on Tuesday.
Feldman was in line for his fifth win, but a complete meltdown from closer Chad Qualls rendered Feldman's work meaningless. It's been that kind of year for the right-hander, who loses when he gets shelled and rarely wins when he pitches well. Feldman has a 4.39 ERA through 19 starts but remains 4-8 on the season. He'll look for a better fate Sunday against the Blue Jays.

Thu Jul 24 201418:53Scott Feldman gives up six runs in loss
Scott Feldman was tagged for six runs in 5 1/3 innings by the A's in Thursday's loss.
The last two of those runs came after he was pulled in the sixth. That was some odd timing: he was allowed to face three straight left-handed hitters to start the inning and retired the last of them, but then he was pulled when Josh Donaldson came to the plate. Feldman has just one win in his last 10 starts, and he's 4-8 with a 4.60 ERA overall. It's disappointing, for sure, but then, it matters more to the Astros how he pitches in 2015 and '16 than it does this year.

Scott Feldman was knocked around for a season-high seven runs over 5 1/3 innings in a loss to the Red Sox on Friday.
Feldman had gone at least five innings with three earned runs or fewer allowed over his last five starts, but he allowed an army of baserunners Friday by giving up 11 hits and three walks. His ERA jumped from 3.86 to 4.33 with the loss. That's his new high-water mark for the year.

Tue Jun 24 201423:43Feldman allows three runs in loss to Braves
Scott Feldman allowed three runs over six innings in a loss to the Braves on Tuesday.
Feldman was hurt by the long ball, as two of the three runs came on solo homers. It was still a largely positive outing for the right-hander, as he allowed just four hits and a walk in all. Despite pitching better of late, Feldman still hasn't gotten a win since May 26 and fell to 3-5 with Tuesday's result. He'll look for his first win this month when the Tigers come to town on Sunday.

Wed Jun 18 201423:03Feldman takes no-decision in loss to Nats
Scott Feldman got the no-decision, allowing two runs over five innings as the Astros were defeated by the Nationals 6-5 on Wednesday.
Feldman outdueled Gio Gonzalez, but the Astros bullpen could not hold the lead. The right-hander allowed six hits, walked three, and struck out five. A couple of shellackings aside, Feldman has done a fine job out of the rotation in Houston. He'll take a 3.95 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, and a 38/19 K/BB ratio into his next outing against the Braves at home.

Fri Jun 13 201400:05Feldman takes no-decision as Astros top ARI
Scott Feldman got the no-decision, allowing three runs (two earned) in 6 1/3 innings in Thursday's win over the D'Backs.
The Astros bullpen couldn't hold the lead the offense afforded Feldman. The right-hander allowed four hits -- including a home run to Chris Owings -- without issuing a walk and striking out six batters. Feldman had struggled in recent starts, but lowered his ERA to 3.98 and his WHIP to 1.31 with Thursday's effort. He'll go up against the Nationals on the road in his next start.

Sat Jun 7 201418:28Scott Feldman gets lifted in second inning
Scott Feldman was pulled after allowing three unearned runs in 1 2/3 innings Saturday in a loss to the Twins.
It's not very often a starter's ERA goes down in an outing in which he was pulled in the second inning, but Feldman's did today. With errors from Matt Dominguez and Marwin Gonzalez extending the frame, Feldman was up to 43 pitches in the second, and the Astros decided that was enough. Still, while the defense did him wrong, Feldman made his own trouble by hitting the leadoff man and then walking a pair of batters. He dropped to 3-4 on the year, but his ERA went from 4.25 to 4.12.

Sun Jun 1 201417:44Feldman hammered for nine runs by Orioles
Scott Feldman was hammered for nine earned runs in 5 1/3 innings Sunday by the Orioles.
Feldman entered the outing with a 3.02 ERA and by the time the day was done that mark was all the way up to 4.25. He surrendered 11 hits -- including a two-run homer to David Lough in the second inning and a grand slam to Manny Machado in the O's six-run sixth inning. Feldman will try to bounce back next weekend at Target Field.

Mon May 26 201423:40Feldman hurls two-run ball against the Royals
Scott Feldman worked six innings and allowed two runs on eight hits Monday against the Royals.
The right-hander failed to punch out a batter and walked one to earn the victory. Kansas City had no trouble making contact off the veteran, but Feldman held the Royals to two extra-base hits and limited damage without his best stuff. The 31-year-old, signed to a three-year, $30 million deal over the winter, has met Houston's early expectations by going 3-2 with a 3.02 ERA and 1.28 WHIP over his first eight starts. Feldman, who will surely have a popular name in late July, hosts Baltimore over the weekend.

Wed May 21 201401:44Feldman gets smacked around by the Angels
Scott Feldman was tagged for eight runs -- three earned -- on nine hits over four innings in a loss to the Angels on Tuesday.
The right-hander whiffed four and walked a pair. Feldman has allowed 24 hits and 15 runs (nine earned) over 15 innings in his last three starts since coming off the DL. His ERA has inflated from 1.69 to 3.02 during that time. Feldman travels to Seattle for a Sunday matinee.
