Tue Jul 5 201104:22Young pulled in eighth just short of cycle
Michael Young singled, doubled, and tripled in Monday's 13-4 rout of the Orioles.
Young needed only four innings to complete three-fourths of the cycle, and then flied out to deep center in the sixth inning. Fri Jun 10 201121:09Young to get day off this weekend
Rangers manager Ron Washington plans to give Michael Young a day off this weekend.
"It could be tomorrow, it could be Sunday," said Washington. "I haven't talked to Michael yet. Get a day, take Monday off and be strong going into New York." Entering Friday's action, Young has four hits in 39 at-bats (.103) this month, so a day off would probably do him some good. He could tie the Rangers' all-time record in games played if he's in the lineup on Saturday.

Mon Apr 4 201116:42Rangers not currently talking trade for Young
During an appearance on MLB Network Radio on SiriusXM on Monday, Rangers general manager Jon Daniels said that he is currently discussing a trade involving Michael Young and has no plans to re-open talks.
Young's trade request grabbed headlines prior to spring training, but they're comfortable moving forward now that the season has begun. "It's really not even a topic of conversation as far as we're concerned right now," said Daniels. "We have no conversations going about trading any of our players right now, Michael included, and I don't see any coming up." Young has been the DH twice and started at second base Sunday, so we still think he'll get enough playing time to be a reliable fantasy contributor this season.

Sun Mar 27 201119:30Michael Young has nice day at the dish
Michael Young went 3-for-5 with three RBI against the Mariners on Sunday.
Young is now hitting .380 with 10 RBI this spring. Primed to begin the season in Texas, there's no reason to think Young shouldn't provide his usual steady production, though it remains unclear just how many at-bats he's in store for. The best thing for his fantasy value remains a trade.
