Cardinals signed RHP Mike MacDougal to a minor league contract. |
MacDougal was assigned to Triple-A Memphis and allowed two runs on two hits and two walks over one inning of work in his debut with the club on Wednesday. The 33-year-old right-hander opted out of his minor league contract with the Nationals last week after posting a 4.71 ERA over 18 appearances between Double-A Harrisburg and Triple-A Syracuse. MacDougal compiled a 4.31 ERA in 57 appearances between the Nationals and White Sox last season. |

MacDougal signed a minor league contract with the Nationals after being released by the Marlins during spring training. The 33-year-old right-hander had a 4.71 ERA and a 13/11 K/BB ratio over 18 appearances between Double-A Harrisburg and Triple-A Syracuse this season. |
