Fri Aug 15 201414:33Gose optioned to Triple-A Buffalo on Friday
Gose was optioned to Triple-A Buffalo on Friday, Sportsnet reports.
Gose is hitting just .234 with the Blue Jays on the year, but will move back to Triple-A with the return of Edwin Encarnacion from the disabled list. However, he may find a spot back on the big league roster in a couple of weeks when they expand in September.
Tue Aug 12 201418:54Gose out of lineup Tuesday
Gose is out of the lineup Tuesday, SportsNet's Barry Davis reports.
With Adam Lind making a long-awaited return to the lineup at DH, Jose Bautista may start seeing some more starts in right field, which could cut into Gose's playing time. Gose has been a defensive monster in limited duty this season, and has done well to cut down his strikeout rate. In 2012 when he debuted with Toronto, he posted a 31.2 percent K-rate in 189 plate appearances, but this season he is only striking out 23.6 percent of the time. His speed and his throwing arm are both elite tools, but he'll never approach being a .300 hitter, and it doesn't look like the power will be showing up anytime soon.

Gose had two stolen bases in Sunday's win over the Tigers, including a big steal in the ninth where he was initially called out, but then ruled safe after a replay review.
That stolen base led to the tying run in a game that eventually lasted 19 innings. "Hey, that's the game right there," said Blue Jays manager John Gibbons. "That's the benefit of instant replay, to get it right. They're all close, but that's the whole idea behind it. It's big."
Fri Aug 8 201415:50Gose not in Friday's lineup
Gose is not in Friday's lineup, SportsNet's Barry Davis reports.
His speed makes him valuable in mid-sized leagues, but he's not an everyday player, as he'll sit for the third time in the last seven games.
Thu Aug 7 201423:06Gose hit solo home run in Thursday's loss to Baltimore
Gose hit a solo home run in Thursday's loss to Baltimore. It was his first long ball of the season.
Gose hasn't shown any power in his short career, hitting just four homers in 476 at-bats. He can help fantasy owners with his speed, however, as he's swiped 12 bags in 163 at-bats this season.

Anthony Gose was one of several Blue Jays who struggled at the plate on Saturday, going 0-for-3 in a losing effort against the Cardinals.
The bottom seven hitters in the Jays lineup all went without a hit on the afternoon, as Shelby Miller was in complete command from the outset. Gose has struggled to get things going at the big league level, hitting .242/.342/.318 with no homers and four RBI in his first 66 at-bats.

Gose was up in the majors for one day earlier this month to serve as the Blue Jays' 26th man for a doubleheader with the Twins. The former top prospect still has good speed but probably won't play enough to carry fantasy relevance. He turns 24 years old later this summer.

Blue Jays optioned OF Anthony Gose to Triple-A Buffalo; reassigned C Mike Nickeas, INF Chris Getz and OF John Tolleson to minor league camp.
Gose never had a very good chance of cracking the Opening Day roster and sealed his fate by batting only .250/.314/.375 this spring. The 23-year-old remains intriguing because of his speed, but he has other phases of his game that need to be refined.

Sat Mar 1 201417:12Anthony Gose has two hits, two steals
Anthony Gose went 2-for-2 with a pair of steals Saturday against the Orioles.
The Blue Jays declined to bring in a veteran to replace Rajai Davis over the winter, so Gose could have a shot of making the team as a fourth outfielder. Barring a late addition, he's battling Moises Sierra and Kevin Pillar for the job. Because of his speed, he'd be an intriguing AL-only option if he makes team.

Sat Nov 30 201311:00Anthony Gose goes to Venezuelan Winter League
Anthony Gose will join Tiburones de La Guaira in the Venezuelan Winter League in an effort to work on eliminating the leg kick from his swing.
The speedy 23-year-old outfielder hadn't planned on playing winter ball this season, but now that he's potentially slated to open the season as the Blue Jays fourth outfielder, he wants to put in all of the extra work that he can. The speedy outfielder is one injury away from being fantasy relevant in mixed leagues.

Thu Sep 19 201322:14Anthony Gose goes 3-for-4, homers
Anthony Gose went 3-for-4 with his second homer, a double and an outfield assist Thursday against the Yankees.
Gose was a massive disappointment in Triple-A this year, but he's been surprisingly competent in the majors, hitting .268/.293/.438 in 112 at-bats. It should keep him in the lineup the rest of the way, even though Colby Rasmus has returned to play center. We wouldn't pencil him in for 2014 just yet.

Tue Sep 10 201322:35Gose hits grand slam in losing effort vs. LAA
Anthony Gose hit a grand slam in the Blue Jays' loss to the Angels on Tuesday.
It was a good spot for Gose's second career home run and first of the season. The four RBI doubled his season total, and the speedy outfielder is now batting .244/.278/.384 in 86 at-bats. He might see his playing time cut into with Colby Rasmus close to returning, but he wasn't really a viable fantasy option anyway.
