Tue Nov 19 201312:59Udonis Haslem (back) expected to play Tuesday
Udonis Haslem (back) is expected to play against the Hawks on Tuesday.
The 33-year-old has missed the Heat's last four games and will be a site for sore eyes for the depleted Miami frontcourt. Fantasy owners, however, need not worry about Haslem's return as he barely warrants a roster spot in even the deepest of leagues. Owners who may have been relying on Shane Battier will want to take note as his playing time will be rolled back upon Haslem's return.

Sun Nov 17 201312:28Udonis Haslem (back) targets Tuesday return
Udonis Haslem (back spasms) intends to practice on Monday and return for Tuesday's game vs. the Hawks.
He's been battling the spasms for nearly three weeks, but is close to a full recovery. "It got to the point where I just wasn't able to move," he said. His absence has allowed Shane Battier to start for the Heat, with Rashard Lewis and Michael Beasley picking up more minutes off the bench. Owners relying on any of those guys in deeper leagues should keep a sharp eye on Erik Spoelstra's rotations once Haslem rejoins the rotation.

Fri Nov 15 201317:59Udonis Haslem will not play on Friday
Udonis Haslem (back) will not play against the Mavericks on Friday night.
The team will take it easy on their 33-year-old forward and will have to find a way to replace his 16.0 minutes per game. Michael Beasley may have his best chance to produce, but has very little fantasy value.

Thu Nov 14 201312:57Udonis Haslem (back) returns to practice
Udonis Haslem (back) returned to practice on Thursday.
Haslem has missed the Heat's last three contests due to his ailing back, but his appearance at practice is a good sign for Friday's game against Dallas. Shane Battier has been getting the start in Haslem's absence and would likely slide to a bench role if Haslem is able to suit up against the Mavericks. Regardless of who starts, however, neither player is much of a viable fantasy option at the moment.

Udonis Haslem has been ruled out for Saturday's game vs. Boston due to back spasms.

Thu Oct 17 201318:43Udonis Haslem sitting out for Thursday
Udonis Haslem will not play against the Nets on Thursday.
He played 19 minutes on Tuesday and is likely just getting the night off. Haslem would need a ton of minutes to offset his minimal impact on a loaded Miami team in order to have value in the majority of fantasy leagues.

Thu Oct 10 201313:51Udonis Haslem works to improve shooting range
Udonis Haslem has been working on his 3-point shot in an attempt to become more versatile.
This is a flashback to last summer, when Haslem "spent time on [3-point shooting]" and proceeded to go the entire year without so much as a 3-point attempt. If nothing else, improved shooting range should help him compete for minutes in a crowded frontcourt.

Udonis Haslem (knee) will not play on Monday.

Mon Sep 30 201314:57Haslem (knee) still working on conditioning
Udonis Haslem (knee surgery) admitted that his conditioning hasn't fully returned.
"I'll be ready when my number is called," he added. The veteran PF averaged just 3.9 points and 5.4 rebounds in 19 minutes last season, but he knocked down 59.3 percent of his FGs in the playoffs to help Miami win a second straight NBA championship. At this point in his career, his real-world value far exceeds his fantasy value.

Sun Aug 11 201310:05Haslem not worried about losing role to Oden
Udonis Haslem isn't worried about losing playing time to Greg Oden this season.
Haslem had knee surgery this summer but expects to be ready for training camp, and he said his role is safe "as long as [he] can knock down that 17-footer." He averaged 19 minutes per game last year, before watching his minutes evaporate in the Finals, and fantasy owners should skip the veteran PF on draft day.

Thu Aug 8 201316:17Udonis Haslem expects to be ready for camp
Udonis Haslem (knee surgery) said he's feeling good and expects to be ready for training camp.
"I'm three weeks in now. I feel pretty good, actually," he said Thursday. "It wasn't as bad as we thought it was. I was fortunate. It was mostly just a cleaning, a lot of scar tissue, a couple of loose pieces in there, cleaning out the MCL." Haslem played in 75 games last season but averaged just 3.9 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. He's not a fantasy factor.

Sat Jun 29 201319:54Udonis Haslem needs right meniscus surgery
Udonis Haslem said that he played much of the second half of the season with a torn right meniscus and needs surgery.
It's unclear when UD injured his meniscus and he didn't show up on the injury report at all this season because of knee issues. Haslem had two terrific outings in the Eastern Conference Finals, then scoring just nine points against the Spurs. It's unknown whether he had a medial or lateral tear of his meniscus, but the typical recover time for either is 4-8 weeks. He should be ready for training camp.

Udonis Haslem is "likely" to get a chance to play in Game 7.
Haslem didn't get a single second in Game 6's overtime win, but it looks like he'll get an opportunity to redeem himself in a must-win affair. It's not clear how Erik Spoelstra will use him or how much he'll use him.

Thu May 30 201323:38Udonis does it again in a win vs. Indiana
Udonis Haslem was hot during Miami's 90-79 win over the Pacers to take a 3-2 lead on Thursday, shooting 8-of-9 from the field for 16 points with three boards and a block in 26 minutes.
This was the second game in this series where UD was lights out shooting. In tonight's win, he shot 5-of-6 on shots in the left corner from 17-20 feet. In Game 3, he was 4-of-4 on shots from the same range. Haslem has been a big part of Miami's success recently and LeBron James will continue to kick it out to him as long as he's having this kind of success.

Mon May 27 201308:45Udonis Haslem gets huge praise from Spoelstra
Udonis Haslem earned huge praise from Erik Spoelstra following his 17-point outburst in Sunday's Game 3 win over the Pacers.
"In the 10 years that I've gotten to know UD, I know that he's not defined and cannot be defined by numbers. He's defined by winning plays and a toughness that most players don't have," Spoelstra said. It's high praise and deserved for a guy who has made a career out of doing the dirty work. With Haslem taking advantage of the opportunities Indiana's defense is providing, Miami is that much more dangerous.

Sun May 26 201323:25Haslem scores 17 pts in efficient Game 3 win
Udonis Haslem scored 17 points to help Miami take a 2-1 series lead on Sunday, making 8-of-9 field goals in just 23 minutes.
Haslem cooly knocked down jumper after jumper while navigating foul trouble due to his battles in the post with David West. His performance seems unexpected given his 1-of-7 shooting in the first two games vs. Indiana, but prior to those duds he made 63.4 percent of his FGs in the playoffs.
