Smith shot 6-for-11 from three in Sunday's win over the Magic, finishing the game with 25 points, three assists, four rebounds, a block and two steals in 34 minutes.

While Smith does have these big games from time to time, it's tough to predict when they'll come. Thursday, Smith scored just six points in 30 minutes, and on March 7, he played 35 minutes and shot just 3-for-12 from the floor and scored seven points.

Smith had 21 points (8-14 FG, 5-8 3Pt) to go with eight rebounds and two assists Tuesday against Dallas.

Smith broke out of his mini-scoring slump Tuesday with his first 20-point game of the month. While his scoring has taken a down turn over the last month (averaging 10.8 ppg in March compared to 14.1 in January), his rebounding production has doubled. He's averaging 6.6 rebounds per game this month, which is more than double his February average.

Smith stuffed the stats sheet Sunday against the Rockets, posting eight points, 10 rebounds, four assists, four steals, and one three-pointer in 51 minutes of action.

Smith has been extremely sporadic of late, averaging 10.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 2.4 steals, and 1.6 three-pointers made per game over the last five. While his shooting percentages have been far from efficient, he's producing enough counting stats to hold value in 12-man leagues.

Smith scored 17 points (7-11 FG, 3-5 3Pt) with three rebounds, four assists, and two blocks in 29 minutes in the win over the Knicks on Sunday.

Smith clearly enjoyed being back in New York and through down a nasty dunk off a sweet pass from Iman Shumpert. He has hit three 3-pointers in his last two games and continues to provide decent fantasy value with Cleveland.

Smith provided 10 points (4-10 FG, 2-6 3Pt), four rebounds, seven assists, and three steals in the win over the Heat on Wednesday.

Smith has been playing decently for the Cavaliers. In the last five games, he has played 30.6 minutes with 11.4 points, 2.6 3-pointers (hitting 38.2 percent) and 1.8 steals.

Smith scored 14 points (4-14 FG, 4-12 3Pt, 2-2 FT) in 32 minutes in the win over the Thunder on Sunday.

Even with Iman Shumpert back, Smith has playing around 30 minutes per game and knocking down a pile of 3-pointers. In his last five games, he has hit 3.8 3-pointers and is worth owning just for that column.

Smith scored 21 points (7-13 FG, 7-11 3Pt) and added four rebounds and four assists in 29 minutes against the Hornets Friday.

The 21 points - all on three-pointers - came on the night that Iman Shumpert (shoulder) returned to the lineup. It seems likely that the two ex-Knicks may be competing for a limited quantity of minutes, making Shumpert's return a potentially bad development for Smith's value. Smith has played very well since joining the Cavs, scoring at least 14 points in five of his last six games.

Smith scored 20 points (7-11 FG, 6-9 3Pt) in 34 minutes in the win over the Bulls on Monday.

Smith has had some big 3-point games (20 long range shots in seven games) since joining the Cavaliers. His playing time could dip when Iman Shumpert (shoulder) returns, which is in the offing. Even when Shumpert gets back, Smith is a decent 3-pointer option.

Smith (back) started Friday in a win over the Clippers, and finished the game with eight points (4-8 FG, 0-2 3Pt), two rebounds, four assists and three steals in 30 minutes.

Kyrie Irving and LeBron James handled the offensive duties primarily for the Cavaliers on Friday, but Smith was good in catch-and-shoot situations. Smith is going to have some nights when he goes off for 20 points, and some when he only scores in the single digits. He's worth at least owning in most leagues, as he's averaging 14.8 points per game in five appearances with the Cavs.

Smith (back) is in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Clippers.

Smith was a game-time call due to a nagging back issue, and the Cavaliers did not update his status prior to Friday's game. However, he is out on the court for the opening tip, so it appears he'll fight through any lingering discomfort.

Smith is having some back issues prior to Friday's game and is a game-time call, the Cleveland Plain Dealer's Chris Haynes reports.

If he is unable to go, Shawn Marion will get the start. Monitor his status leading up to tipoff, but it would be wise to shy away from using him a daily league, as back trouble is something that could flare up again once the game has started.

Smith contributed 14 points (5-13 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, two assists, and one steal during 37 minutes on the court against the Lakers on Thursday.

Smith continues to start for the Cavaliers as he will likely hold down that position moving forward. He even attempted more shots than Kevin Love on Thursday, and unless things change, he'll be playing a larger role than was expected upon his arrival in Cleveland. That being said, Love, Kyrie Irving, and LeBron James will continue being the primary options for the Cavaliers, while Smith gets plenty of opportunities beyond the arc and time spent on the court as a starter.

Smith will remain in the starting lineup Tuesday, the Cleveland Plain Dealer's Chris Haynes reports.

With LeBron James returning to action, Mike Miller will return to the bench, as it seems Smith will be the Cavs' starting two guard for now. Despite scoring 27 points in his last game, expectations should be tempered as Smith will be the fourth or fifth option most nights when the Cavs are relatively healthy.

Smith scored 27 points Friday in a loss to the Warriors in his first start with the Cavaliers, attempting a season-high 23 shots.

Smith also played a season-high 42 minutes. With LeBron James out, the Cavaliers have gone with a three-guard lineup. When James returns, either Smith or Mike Miller will move back to the bench. Either way, Smith won't be attempting this many shots on a nightly basis when James is in the lineup. For now, Smith is a good daily option as he starts for the Cavs.

Smith will start Friday's game against the Warriors.

Smith will enter the starting lineup in just his second game with the Cavaliers, pushing underperforming Matthew Dellavedova to the bench. In 18 minutes against the Rockets on Wednesday, Smith was held scoreless, but that can probably be chalked up to a lack of familiarity with his new surroundings. Smith is still a risky play, however, and the best course of action is wait and see how he'll fit into David Blatt's rotation on a night-to-night basis.

Smith made his Cleveland debut on Wednesday in the loss to the Rockets, but did not score (0-5 FG, 0-4 3Pt) in 18 minutes.

Smith is a streaky shooter and may have great games surrounded by poor ones with Cleveland. He is still worth adding for 3-pointers in deeper leagues, but fantasy owners may want to wait until LeBron James (knee/back) returns to get Smith in the lineup.

Smith will be active for Wednesday's matchup with the Rockets.

With Dion Waiters officially passing his physical Wednesday morning, Monday's three-team trade is official and Smith will be able to play Wednesday. It's unlikely coach David Blatt inserts Smith into the starting lineup, but expect the new acquisition to see some time off the bench.

Smith was at practice Wednesday and has a chance to play against the Rockets, Chris Haynes of CSN reports.

Smith, who was dealt to Cleveland on Monday, was not participating in Wednesday's session, but he was at the facility watching from the sideline. Coach David Blatt indicated Smith could play Wednesday, but an official call has not been made. If he does take the court, Smith could see a decent minutes load, but he's a risky daily play in his first action with a new team.

Smith will be dealt to the Cavaliers in a three-team trade with the Knicks and Thunder, Yahoo! Sports reports.

Joining Smith on the path to Cleveland is Knicks teammate Iman Shumpert. Prior to the trade, the Cavaliers relied upon Dion Waiters to hold down the fort at shooting guard, but the third-year pro was unable to provide a consistent scoring punch. In steps Smith, who has put up 10.9 points and 1.3 three-pointers in 26 minutes per game this season, but is two seasons removed from earning Sixth Man of the Year honors in 2012-13. He'll attempt to uphold such a standard with the best playmaker, LeBron James (knee/back), of his career in his corner.

Smith scored 15 points (6-16 FG, 3-7 3Pt), to go along with seven rebounds, and four assists in 37 minutes.

This was Smith's third game back and, while he had some trouble shooting the ball, he basically had a line that we've come to expect from the streaky scorer. As long as Carmelo Anthony is out then Smith can enjoy games where he's relied on as the top scoring option. With talk of Anthony possibly requiring season-ending surgery that may mean big things for the trigger-happy guard.
