Tue Jul 31 201209:53Report: Cavs enter the mix for Carlos Delfino
The Cavs are "looking at" unrestricted FA Carlos Delfino.
The report also reiterates that the team is looking at C.J . Miles and states that the club could sign either player in addition to retaining restricted FA Alonzo Gee. Delfino, who is coming off of sports hernia surgery, has surprisingly drawn little interest on the market to date. Delfino averaged 9.0 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.6 treys on 40.2 percent shooting last season.

Mon Jul 30 201201:48Delfino, Scola, Ginobili lead Argentina romp
Carlos Delfino scored 20 points in 22 minutes as Argentina blew past Lithuania in Group A Olympic action on Sunday -- he was 7-of-13 from the field, including 6-of-9 from downtown.
Delfino remains an NBA free agent and hasn't been a hot commodity, but perhaps his lights-out shooting will spark some GM's interest. Manu Ginobili added 21 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and four steals for Argentina, while Luis Scola scored 32 points on 12-of-19 FGs and 8-of-13 FTs.

Sat Jul 28 201213:45Delfino's options dwindle down to Rockets?
Carlos Delfino has talked with four NBA teams --the Suns, Bulls and Pacers-- but he only has one current offer, from the Rockets, and even that offer doesn't satisfy him.
It seems Houston offered Delfino a two-year deal, with the second year an option, but it's not lucrative enough and he isn't thrilled with the idea of joining a rebuilding team. He's expressed disappointment that the Bucks aren't pursuing him, and we're somewhat surprised that more teams aren't making low-ball offers for him. He'll be 30 years old when the 2012-13 season begins and is a lifetime 36.2 percent 3-point shooter.

Thu Jul 19 201208:34Celtics expressing interest in Carlos Delfino
The Celtics "have expressed some interest" in unrestricted FA Carlos Delfino.
With O.J. Mayo having signed in Dallas and Courtney Lee "too pricey," the Celtics are searching for other options on the free agent market. It's curious that Delfino hasn't gotten more rumored interest to date, and he would make a nice value addition to the C's if the team can snag him at a discount.

Tue Jul 3 201213:01Report: Pacers have interest in Delfino
The Pacers have "legitimate interest" in unrestricted free agent Carlos Delfino.
Delfino's name has largely gone without much fanfare to date, but he's a solid three-point shooter and could really stretch the floor well in the Pacers' second unit. Delfino previously said that he would like to remain with the Bucks, but injury issues could scare some potentially interested teams away.

Sun Jun 10 201210:58Carlos Delfino hopes to re-sign w/ Bucks
Carlos Delfino, who is an unrestricted FA, said recently that he hopes to stay with the Bucks.
"I felt very involved with the team in the last three years, had a good time and would like to stay," Delfino said. "Overall, those three years were positive and I would like to remain with the team." We'll see how much Milwaukee is willing to spend to retain him. He's a dangerous outside shooter but lacks offensive versatility, and he's struggled with injuries in recent seasons -- in his three seasons with the Bucks he missed 52 games (23 percent of all games).

Thu May 3 201212:52Carlos Delfino undergoes groin surgery
Carlos Delfino had successful surgery for a sports hernia on Thursday and is expected to resume basketball activities in 6-8 weeks.
Delfino had a groin problem down the stretch of the regular season, but he should have no problem being ready for training camp after having the surgery.

Fri Apr 27 201210:36Delfino needs surgery for his groin tear
Carlos Delfino has a "significant tear" in his groin and will require surgery.
Delfino wants to have it done as soon as possible to be ready for the Olympics, but he's got an uphill battle to get ready in time. Delfino said it'll take about six to eight weeks to heal, but he said he would "try" to be ready in time to join the national team. He's previously received treatment and a pain-killing injection, but ultimately, Delfino couldn't avoid surgery.

Tue Apr 24 201200:48Delfino out for the season with groin injury
Carlos Delfino (groin) has been ruled out for the rest of the regular season.
Delfino's year was disappointing, if anything because Scott Skiles committed to getting him minutes and Delfino couldn't come through. He finished with early-late round value on the year on a per-game basis, but all the inconsistency and 12 missed games don't wear well on the final result.

Sat Apr 21 201223:07Carlos Delfino (groin) sidelined on Saturday
Carlos Delfino (groin) was expected to start Saturday's game but was ruled out at the last minute.
Delfino recently had another examination, and the injury is expected to linger through the Bucks' final games. The fact that he even considered playing is a testament to his toughness, but he's not providing fantasy value at half-speed.

Thu Apr 19 201221:59Delfino goes scoreless in critical game
Carlos Delfino missed his only field goal attempt in Thursday's loss, playing 16 minutes with just one turnover to his credit.
And this should rule out any potential fantasy value for Delfino on the year, unless owners are willing to absorb one of these on any given night.

Sun Apr 15 201200:03Delfino scores 14 on Saturday
Carlos Delfino had 14 points, three assists, a steal and two 3-pointers on 5-of-7 shooting in 24 minutes on Saturday.
Mike Dunleavy played 22 minutes and had 13 points, eight boards and two 3-pointers tonight, and the two are likely going to be locked into a timeshare over the final six games. Start either of them at your own risk.

Thu Apr 12 201200:42Carlos Delfino awful in start for Bucks
Carlos Delfino had just two points and five fouls in 22 minutes of Wednesday's loss.
The foul trouble and 1-of-3 shooting ruined him tonight, and he was just 3-of-10 for six points on Monday. With the Bucks playing just three times next week, Delfino's owners should be combing the waiver wire for a better option.

Tue Apr 10 201202:20Delfino hits just 3-of-10 shots vs. Thunder
Carlos Delfino hit just 3-of-10 shots from the field (0-for-6 from deep) on Monday, scoring six points with seven rebounds, two assists, and a steal in 32 minutes.
In this bizarro world, Delfino gets the minutes but he can't hit his shots and therefore he runs from fantasy value like it's the plague. Should he ever get it straightened out there could be value, but we've seen this movie a hundred times this year.

Fri Apr 6 201219:49Delfino (groin) out on Friday against Bobcats
Carlos Delfino (groin) did not play on Friday against the Bobcats.
Owners should simply treat Delfino as being out indefinitely until further notice. Mike Dunleavy is a must-own player at least until Delfino's situation gets resolved.

Fri Apr 6 201207:08Delfino, Gooden don't practice on Thursday
Carlos Delfino (groin) and Drew Gooden (back) did not take part in Thursday's light workout.
Gooden is expected to play on Friday against the Bobcats, but Delfino's status remains very much up in the air. He's missed five straight games and is in danger of missing his sixth against Charlotte. If he's forced to sit out again, Luc Richard Mbah a Moute would likely draw another start in his place. In 20 starts this season, Mbah a Moute is averaging 7.8 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 25 minutes per game.

Thu Apr 5 201207:38Carlos Delfino misses fifth straight game
Carlos Delfino (groin) missed his fifth straight game on Wednesday against the Cavs.
Delfino's groin is still bothering him, but he remains day-to-day. Luc Richard Mbah a Moute once again got the start in his place and had nine points, seven boards and two steals in 36 minutes.

Mon Apr 2 201218:46Carlos Delfino out again on Monday
Carlos Delfino (groin) will not play in Monday's game against the Wizards.
Delfino did warm up before the game, but his groin is still too tight to play. Coach Scott Skiles is hopeful Delfino will be ready for Wednesday's game against the Cavs. Defensive stopper Luc Richard Mbah a Moute will start at small forward once again.
