Fri Apr 5 201309:26Carlos Delfino questionable to play on Friday
Carlos Delfino (foot) is questionable to play against the Blazers on Friday.
Delfino was able to get through practice on Thursday, so assuming he has not setbacks, he should be good to go against Portland. If he sits out, Francisco Garcia and James Anderson would likely pick up Delfino's minutes.

Thu Apr 4 201317:48Carlos Delfino goes through practice Thursday
Carlos Delfino (foot) participated in practice Thursday.
Delfino was expected to play Wednesday but ended up being a late scratch. There wasn't any further detail on Delfino on Thursday, so we'll stick with questionable for Friday's game in Portland. We should know more after tomorrow's morning shootaround. Francisco Garcia would get more run if Delfino sits again.

Wed Apr 3 201321:16Carlos Delfino (foot) won't play Wednesday
Updating a previous report, Carlos Delfino (sore foot) will not be active on Wednesday.
It was thought that he'd be in uniform, but owners have to live with another DNP. Consider him questionable to return for Friday's road game in Portland, and expect Francisco Garcia to play more minutes in his absence.

Wed Apr 3 201315:02Carlos Delfino expected to play on Wednesday
Carlos Delfino (sore foot) should be active Wednesday night against the Kings.
Delfino sat out practice Tuesday for precautionary reasons but participated in shootaround this morning. It wouldn't be surprising to see a lot of veterans who are banged up get practices off here and there as the season winds down. Delfino remains a solid asset from beyond the arc and is worth a look in most formats.

Tue Apr 2 201313:46Carlos Delfino sits out of practice Tuesday
Carlos Delfino sat out of Tuesday's practice for precautionary reasons to protect a sore right foot.
The sore foot epidemic is spreading around the NBA, and that's not really a surprise considering where we are in the regular season. Expect to see more absences like this pop up around the league with the regular season winding down, but we expect Delfino will be active on Wednesday since his absence was deemed precautionary.

Sat Mar 30 201300:39Delfino scores 15 points off the bench
Carlos Delfino scored 15 points with two 3-pointers in Friday's loss, hitting 4-of-11 shots to go with three rebounds, two assists and two steals in 28 minutes off the bench.
Delfino has been a borderline asset in standard leagues recently but this keeps him on the right track. Give him a look unless you're stocked up on threes.

Fri Mar 15 201323:52Delfino plays 29 minutes on Friday vs. MIN
Carlos Delfino scored nine points on 3-of-9 shooting (including a three) with 10 rebounds, one steal and one block in 29 minutes off the bench on Friday against the Wolves.
Delfino has been playing more power forward lately and that gives him better access to rebounds. He's well worth owning as a mid-to-late round value over the past month in 9- and 8-cat formats, respectively.

Thu Mar 14 201301:14Carlos Delfino plays just 15 minutes in win
Carlos Delfino played just 15 minutes and hit 2-of-5 shots and a 3-pointer for just five points, three rebounds and one assist in an easy win over the Suns.
Delfino had 21 points in his previous game and has scored in double digits in seven of his last nine games. This game was ugly and the Rockets likely took advantage of the lopsided score to give Delfino some rest. Look for him to bounce back in the next one.

Sun Mar 10 201300:08Carlos Delfino bounces back w/ 21 points
Carlos Delfino got back on track with 21 points and five rebounds vs. the Suns, making 8-of-15 field goals with five 3-pointers.
Delfino also had two steals and he didn't turn the ball over in 29 minutes, rounding out one of his best lines this season. He finished February averaging just 9.8 points on 35.6 percent shooting, but even in lean games he usually gets a few 3-pointers, a few rebounds and a steal.

Sun Mar 3 201323:17Carlos Delfino shoots 1-of-7 in blowout
Carlos Delfino made just 1-of-7 shots for three points in Sunday's easy win vs. the Mavericks.
Delfino played 17 minutes, his lowest total since mid-December, but that was due partly to his cold shooting, partly to Chandler Parsons' red-hot shooting (12-of-13 FGs), and partly to the lopsided score. Delfino was averaging 16.8 points in the past four games and he should bounce back in no time.

Fri Mar 1 201322:35Carlos Delfino scores 21 points with five 3s
Carlos Delfino shot 5-of-9 from downtown in Friday's win over the Magic, adding 21 points, three boards and one assist in 27 minutes.
It has been bombs away for Delfino and he's taken a ridiculous 9.2 attempts per game from downtown in his last five. The Rockets will find him wide open on numerous transition threes and he should be owned in all leagues that count 3-pointers.

Thu Feb 28 201301:01Carlo Delfino scores 12 in 31 minutes
Carlos Delfino hit 5-of-14 shots and just 1-of-6 3-pointers in 31 minutes off the bench on Wednesday, finishing with 12 points, a rebound and an assist in the loss.
There is talk about Delfino needing another shot in his troublesome elbow, and his move to the bench isn't going to do him any favors. Neither is the Rockets' weekly games-played schedule going forward, which is a dreadful 3-3-3-3-4-3-2 to finish out the season. He looked like a much better fantasy prospect when he was starting at power forward, but the 31 minutes tonight were encouraging.

Wed Feb 27 201312:57Carlos Delfino might need another elbow shot
Carlos Delfino may need another shot in his elbow.
Delfino got a round of shots in his troublesome sore elbow previously, and Delfino plans to check with the medical staff to see if he needs more. As of right now, he's not expected to miss any additional time.

Sat Feb 23 201300:09Carlos Delfino catches fire in start at PF
Carlos Delfino started at power forward for the second straight game and hit 8-of-14 shots and six 3-pointers for 22 points, five rebounds, five assists and a steal in 36 minutes on Friday.
Newly acquired Thomas Robinson will be ready for the next one, but it's possible that Delfino could continue to start at power forward until further notice. While T-Rob makes for an intriguing pickup right now, Delfino looks like a must-own player, even though he's playing way out of position.

Fri Feb 22 201312:16Carlos Delfino set to start at PF on Friday
Carlos Delfino will start at power forward on Friday.
With Thomas Robinson not yet available after the trade, the Rockets will use a small, offensive-minded lineup, and Delfino will be a beneficiary. He's averaging 25.5 minutes per game as a reserve, so we feel confident projecting at least 30 minutes for him on Friday.

Thu Feb 21 201301:39Delfino struggles with shot vs. OKC
Carlos Delfino shot 3-of-12 from the field for nine points with six rebounds, five assists, four steals and three 3-pointers in 42 minutes against the Thunder on Wednesday.
He took a whopping 10 attempts from beyond the arc and his distinction as Houston's trigger man will likely hold up for the rest of the season. Delfino's owners shouldn't be expecting him to play 42 minutes, but the attempts should be coming in bunches and he's worth owning in all leagues that count 3-pointers.

Thu Feb 14 201301:38Carlos Delfino awful in start for Harden
Carlos Delfino started for James Harden, who was out with a sprained ankle, but hit just 1-of-6 shots (a 3-pointer) for three points, one rebound, two assists and two steals in 23 minutes.
Delfino was playing well until an elbow injury stopped his run, and he's simply not feeling it right now. He could become relevant again in the near future, but isn't worth using in fantasy leagues right now. Especially with Chandler Parsons on fire, and Harden due back just after the All-Star break.

Mon Feb 11 201300:10Del3no lives by moniker with three triples
Carlos Delfino made three 3-pointers in Sunday's loss to the Kings to go with 15 points, one rebound, three assists and one block in 29 minutes.
His 29 minutes were his most since January 23 and he hasn't been bashful with his nine 3-point attempts in Sunday's game. Delfino should keep firing away from deep and he's worth owning by any owner that needs 3-pointers.

Fri Feb 8 201319:25Carlos Delfino (elbow) available on Friday
Carlos Delfino (elbow) is available for Friday's game against the Blazers.
That's a bit vague but everything that's been reported has suggested that he will play. Owners may want to shy away from their regular usage of Delfino tonight, and we'll be watching to see if he settles back into his normal range of productivity.
