Carlos Delfino (illness) will not play on Saturday.

Fri Dec 28 201218:52Carlos Delfino out Friday night against Spurs
Carlos Delfino is sick and isn't expected to play Friday night against the Spurs.
Delfino is averaging 9.1 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 2.2 3-pointers in 25 minutes per game in December. If you were using him in deeper leagues, make sure he's out of your lineup by tip-off. Patrick Patterson (foot) is still out Friday and Terrence Jones is in the D-League, so expect more time for Chandler Parsons and Daequan Cook if Delfino sits.

Mon Dec 17 201222:37Delfino scores 15 points with four threes
Carlos Delfino scored 15 points and hit four 3-point shots on Monday against the Knicks.
Delfino hit 6-of-9 shots and added five rebounds but did not have a steal tonight. With Patrick Patterson (foot) out there is a nice-sized hole in the rotation, so Delfino should be a bit more stable than usual coming off the bench.

Sun Dec 16 201217:12Carlos Delfino hits two 3s for 10 points
Carlos Delfino scored 10 points with four rebounds, one steal and two 3-pointers in 22 minutes.
Delfino hasn't really benefited from the Patrick Patterson (knee) injury at this point. The Rockets lead the NBA in pace, so coach Kevin McHale may be inclined to go with a smaller lineup. He should remain the radar as a 3-point specialist and could be worth owning in deeper leagues.

Sat Dec 15 201202:53Delfino hits three treys on Friday vs. BOS
Carlos Delfino hit three 3-point shots on Friday, scoring nine points on 3-of-6 shooting with two assists in 24 minutes off the bench.
If you gambled on his 3-point shooting this week you got what you wanted, but the five turnovers he had tonight aren't going to wear well on Kevin McHale. He'll be somebody to keep tabs on when he's hot, but otherwise he's just a 3-point specialist coming off the bench in Houston.

Thu Dec 13 201202:00Carlos Delfino disappears for Rockets
Carlos Delfino played just 14 minutes and hit 1-of-5 shots for two points in Wednesday's win.
Delfino was getting hot coming into the week, but hit just 2-of-12 shots for five points in 38 minutes on Monday, and then didn't get much of a shot from Kevin McHale tonight. Chandler Parsons had 18 points, eight rebounds and three 3-pointers in 34 minutes, while James Harden was also back in action, rendering Delfino useless. Delfino has two games left this week to right the ship, but it looks like he's going to be a bust for owners looking for threes in a four-game week.

Tue Dec 11 201200:28Carlos Delfino plays 38 minutes, scores five
Carlos Delfino played a season-high 38 minutes and had five points, four rebounds, five assists, three steals, one block and one 3-pointer in a 134-126 loss to the Spurs on Monday.
Marcus Morris came off the bench and played 25 minutes while scoring 13 points and hitting two treys. Delfino got a start tonight with James Harden (ankle) out, but Delfino did play 35 minutes on Saturday. He's on the upswing and worth a look as a perimeter specialist in standard leagues.

Sun Dec 9 201201:12Delfino plays season-high 35 minutes
Carlos Delfino played a season-high 35 minutes vs. the Mavericks on Saturday, scoring 10 points with two 3-pointers and three assists.
The Rockets deployed many small lineups to match up with the Mavericks, which opened up more playing time for Delino, who came in averaging 23 minutes. With 11 three-pointers made in the past four games alone, he remains a nice perimeter specialist with upside.

Sat Dec 8 201203:17Delfino plays 18 minutes with nine points
Carlos Delfino scored nine points on 3-of-7 shooting (including three treys) with three rebounds and one assist in 18 minutes.
Delfino did not have a steal and this is life for him in a bench role for the Rockets. He'll hit a bunch of threes and hopefully have some steals, but he'll be inconsistent from night to night.

Sun Dec 2 201200:02Delfino (groin) scores 13 points in return
Carlos Delfino (strained groin) returned to action on Saturday, scoring 13 points with three 3-pointers in 17 minutes off the bench.
Delfino's 3-point proficiency keeps him afloat in many fantasy formats, and tonight he chipped in five rebounds, three assists and one steal, but he's typically a boom-or-bust option in his current bench role.

Sat Dec 1 201219:03Carlos Delfino (groin) will play on Saturday
Carlos Delfino (groin) will play on Saturday night.
Delfino has been out since November 14 with his strained groin and he's seen Chandler Parsons take the small forward job and run with it. Delfino was productive before the injury and has made 1.9 triples per game this season. You can just keep an eye on him in standard leagues.

Fri Nov 30 201213:25Carlos Delfino returns to practice Friday
Updating a previous item, Carlos Delfino (shoulder) returned to practice on Friday.
Delfino was said to be getting "close" to a return, and it turns out that was the case. With Chandler Parsons (shoulder) still sidelined, Delfino's return would be a boost on the wing for the Rockets. Owners in need of treys should note that he is averaging 1.9 3-pointers in just under 24 minutes per game.

Fri Nov 30 201209:28Carlos Delfino (groin) close to returning
Carlos Delfino is "close" to returning from his groin injury.
Delfino was targeting the weekend for his return, so if he doesn't play on Saturday against the Jazz, the earliest he could be back is December 4 against the Lakers. With Chandler Parsons (shoulder) sidelined, the Rockets could use a healthy Delfino. Before going down, he was averaging 8.1 points, 1.9 treys and 1.0 steals on 33.3 percent shooting.

Tue Nov 27 201211:56Carlos Delfino (groin) out again Tuesday
Carlos Delfino (groin) will not play on Tuesday, as expected, and is targeting the weekend for his return.
The Rockets have already said that Delfino won't return until he's fully healthy, and with Chandler Parsons playing like a man possessed, owners in standard formats can do much, much better than waiting for Delfino to get back into the mix.

Mon Nov 26 201213:35Delfino unlikely to play until 100 percent
Carlos Delfino (groin) went through a limited practice on Monday, but he's unlikely to return until he's 100 percent.
After Delfino had sports hernia surgery in the offseason, the Rockets won't rush him back until he's completely healthy. With Chandler Parsons playing so well, there's not much of a reason to rush Parsons back.

Thu Nov 22 201208:21Carlos Delfino undergoes MRI on ailing groin
Carlos Delfino had an MRI for his groin injury on Wednesday, and there is no timetable for his return.
He had a sports hernia surgery with Milwaukee last season," Kelvin Sampson said. "It's not that injury, but it's close to it." That certainly doesn't sound good, and it doesn't look like Delfino is close to a return at this time. Chandler Parsons will continue to play a ton of minutes, with Marcus Morris and Terrence Jones also picking up some extra time.

Wed Nov 21 201220:10Carlos Delfino (groin) out for Wednesday
Carlos Delfino (groin) will not play on Wednesday against the Bulls.
Delfino battled groin issues last year and this may not be the last time he misses time with the injury. Chandler Parsons has been fantastic and should be started in almost all formats even with the busy schedule on Wednesday. Marcus Morris has also been an asset in standard formats.

Wed Nov 21 201210:22Carlos Delfino questionable on Wednesday
Carlos Delfino is questionable for Wednesday's game with a strained groin.
Delfino didn't play on Monday due to the same injury, so it wouldn't be a surprise if he sat out on Wednesday. Chandler Parsons has been playing very well and will continue to roll if Delfino can't suit up.

Mon Nov 19 201220:09Carlos Delfino (groin) out for Monday night
Carlos Delfino (groin) will not play on Monday for the Rockets.
Delfino battled groin issues last year and there's a good chance he will need to miss more time with this injury. Chandler Parsons has taken his game to the next level and is a must-own player while Marcus Morris has filled in quite well, too.

Sun Nov 18 201214:08Carlos Delfino (groin) doubtful for Sunday
Carlos Delfino (groin) did not participate in Sunday's shootaround, and he seems doubtful to play vs. the Lakers.
Groin injuries are easy to aggravate, so we didn't expect Carlos to rush back at less than 100 percent. In his absence, Chandler Parsons will play all the minutes he can handle.
