Frye came down with an illness ahead of Sunday's game against the Nuggets and will not ultimately take the court, the Orlando Sentinel reports.

Frye should be considered day-to-day as Andrew Nicholson takes over at power forward in the starting lineup. The next opportunity for Frye to take the court will be against the Hawks on Wednesday.

Frye will start Wednesday's contest at Dallas, the Orlando Sentinel reports.

Because Dedmon is sitting out Wednesday due to a sore ankle, Frye has been afforded the opportunity to return to the starting five. In 49 nods this season, Frye has averaged 8.4 points (on 40 percent shooting), 4.6 rebounds, 2.1 three-pointers, 1.4 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.7 blocks in 29 minutes.

Frye returned to the bench and scored three points (1-5 FG, 1-3 3Pt) grabbed a single rebound in 19 minutes against the Pacers on Tuesday.

With the return of Nikola Vucevic to the starting lineup, Frye was delegated to a bench role, where he struggled Tuesday. He could reenter the starting lineup in place of Dewayne Dedmon eventually, but the Magic currently have too many healthy forwards in the rotation for any of them to have consistent fantasy value right now.

Frye was replaced by Maurice Harkless in the second-half starting lineup Sunday against the Celtics.

Frye played 16 minutes one game after scoring a season-high 22 points. He doesn't fit coach James Borrego's defensive scheme, starting only because Nikola Vucevic (ankle) is sidelined. The shots and opportunity are there; he's just been overshadowed by Dewayne Dedmon's defense and Victor Oladipo's offensive explosion.

Frye started in place of Nikola Vucevic (ankle) Friday. He scored 22 points (7-11 FG, 6-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and added 10 rebounds, three assists, one steal, and three blocks in 35 minutes against the Kings.

Frye is in the middle of a disappointing season, but he stepped up in a big way Friday. If Vucevic continues to miss time, Frye makes for an interesting flier option.

Frye has been splitting minutes with Dewayne Dedmon, Kyle O'Quinn, and Tobias Harris ever since Jacque Vaughn was fired. James Borrego has shifted the focus to defense, preferring to play Harris at power forward and utilize Willie Green or Evan Fournier in smaller lineups.

Despite dislocating his finger in the last game before the All-Star break, Frye was able to recover and not miss a game from the injury. By playing, however, Frye may have ended up hurting fantasy players, who would have probably received better production elsewhere. Until Frye recovers from his current slump - he's scored in double figures just twice in his past 11 games, despite averaging 17 minutes per game - he can be safely ignored in most formats.

Frye (finger) was in the starting lineup to begin Friday's game against the Pelicans.

Frye entered the All-Star break with a finger injury but was apparently able to recoup during the extended time off the court. He should be available moving forward in his normal capacity.

Despite the starting nod, Frye was ineffective and played only limited minutes. Monitor this situation over the next couple of weeks, since whoever does settle in as Borrego's fifth starter will experience a significant boost in fantasy value.

Frye scored 10 points (4-12 FG, 2-7 3Pt) with three rebounds in 20 minutes off the Magic bench in Saturday's loss to Dallas.

Frye moved to the bench after playing just 15 scoreless minutes on Thursday against Milwaukee. He is hitting just below 40 percent of his 3-pointers, but is getting limited opportunities in his first year with Orlando.

Frye will come off the bench Saturday versus the Mavericks, the Magic's official site reports.

Such a move was forecast when Frye began the second half of Thursday's loss to the Bucks off the bench. Moreover, he's averaging just 14 minutes per game over the past two outings, which erases any fantasy viability that the 31-year-old picked up this season. In his place, Tobias Harris will get the nod at power forward.

The reason for the move is not clear at this time, but the situation surrounding Frye's minutes is certainly something to keep tabs on. Frye is struggling mightily this month - 34.0% FG, 35.6% 3Pt - but is still averaging just under 29 minutes per game.

Frye had one of his best games of the season against the Grizzlies on Friday as he put up 17 points (5-12 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 3-3 FT), eight rebounds, two assists, and three blocks in 38 minutes.

Frye has struggled shooting the ball this season, although Friday's performance was decent enough as he also managed to compile a well-rounded box score. He seems to have regained his spot in the starting lineup moving forward and is on the borderline of deserving a roster spot in standard-sized leagues.

Frye replaced Kyle O'Quinn in the starting lineup, and played 32 minutes Saturday, scoring three points (1-10 FG, 1-8 3Pt) with eight rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

Even with Frye back starting and getting more than 30 minutes, his fantasy appeal is limited as we saw when he initially lost the job. If you need three-pointers from your big men, Frye is a middling option, but that is the only place he has value.

Frye will start Saturday against Portland, Orlando Sentinel reports.

Kyle O'Quinn, who is shooting just 22.7 percent so far this month, will head to the bench, opening the door for Frye to make his 29th start of the season.

Frye (elbow) played 19 minutes putting up zero points (0-5 FG, 0-4 3Pt), one rebounds, one assist and one turnover.

Frye has been coming off the bench as of late and is averaging 6.6 points and 3.0 rebounds in 21 minutes per game in that role this season. The Magic play the Lakers Friday.

Frye (elbow) will be available Wednesday against the Nuggets, John Denton of OrlandoMagic.com reports.

Frye had previously insisted that his current elbow ailment wouldn't cost him any time, and this report falls right in line with that notion. He'll resume his regular role backing up starting power forward Kyle O'Quinn.
