Ellis was labeled as questionable coming into the game with an illness but he has made the decision that he feels well enough to play Friday.

Ellis and Dirk Nowitzki are both dealing with illnesses and could miss Friday's contest. Check back closer to game time for a more definitive update. If Ellis doesn't play, the Mavs will likely turn to Devin Harris or Richard Jefferson to fill in at shooting guard.

Ellis scored 15 points on 5-of-17 shooting Tuesday, He added six assists and two steals in the loss to the Suns.

Since scoring 38 points against the Spurs, Ellis has struggled to put the ball in the basket. In the two Dallas losses he has shot a combined 13-of-39 (33 percent) from the field, including 2-of-10 from behind the arc.

Ellis scored 18 points Monday but needed 22 shot attempts to get there. He finished 8-of-22 from the field, including 1-of-6 from behind the arc.

Ellis added four steals on the defensive end but could get it going on the opposite end of the court. He has a chance to back bounce Tuesday when the Mavericks travel to Phoenix.

Ellis dropped a game-high 38 points (15-23 FG, 5-6 3Pt, 3-6 FT) with one assist and four steals in 40 minutes Saturday.

Ellis' value was projected to take somewhat of a hit with Rajon Rondo in town, but if this is anything to go by, his owners will be thrilled. It's important to note that it is one game and his usually stellar assist numbers dried up completely, considering he was averaging 4.6 assists this season.

Ellis scored 25 points (11-20 FG, 1-2 3P, 2-4 FT) with eight assists, two rebounds and a steal in 35 minutes during Wednesday's win over the Pistons.

He's now scored 20 or more points in three of his last four games, and seven of the last 11. With Dirk Nowitzki's skills on the decline, Ellis is emerging as the biggest scoring threat on the Mavs.

Ellis scored 24 points Saturday on 8-of-22 shooting. He added five rebounds and three steals in the loss to Golden State.

Ellis struggled against this former team and has now shot below 37 percent in two of Dallas' last three games.

Allen is one of the best perimeter defenders in the league, which should help Ellis owners remain relaxed despite the off night. Continue to keep tabs on Ellis' elbow ailment, but as long as it's nothing serious he's likely to get back on track and continue producing at a high level in the Mavericks' high-octane offense.

Ellis scored 38 points (16-35 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 5-5 FT), with two rebounds, two steals and one assist in 45 minutes during Tuesday's win over the Bulls.

That's a whole lot of shooting from the Mav's guard. While the game went into double overtime, fantasy owners got a massive boost in points thanks to Ellis, but he didn't do much else in the box score. Regardless, a win is a win.

15 of Ellis' points came in the fourth quarter, adding a clutch element to his already impressive production. Ellis is a reliable fantasy must-start. The biggest problem Ellis owners have to face is the Mavericks' success, as Ellis has rested late in games that were decided early - the Mavs have already won six games by 10 or more points. Ellis played more than 30 minutes in only one of those games, whereas Ellis has played at least 30 minutes in all but two of the Mavericks' other 11 games.

Ellis scored a team-high 24 points (9-19 FG, 1-5 3P, 5-8 FT) with six assists, three rebounds and two steals in 37 minutes during Monday's loss to the Pacers.

It's the fourth time in the last six games that Ellis has popped for 20 or more points, averaging 23.8 PPG over that stretch.

Ellis got to the line often on Wednesday at Washington, hitting 12 of 14 attempts from the charity stripe. Getting to the free throw line is what he does best and he should continue to do so this season for the Mavericks. He should be starting in all fantasy formats, and is helpful to your free throw percentage category in rotisserie leagues.

Ellis had a bit of an off-night but all the other Mavericks starters scored in double-figures and the team was able to win big for a third straight game.
