Mon Feb 17 201418:29O.J. Mayo (conditioning) through practice on Monday
O.J. Mayo (conditioning) went through practice on Monday.
He is getting closer to a return, but the Bucks will likely keep his minutes down until he can show he can score again. Mayo has lost a step this year and can't get much space when coming off screens, so he's not getting many uncontested looks. He can be left on the wire in most leagues.

Tue Feb 11 201414:03O.J. Mayo out again Wednesday
O.J. Mayo (illness) will not play in Wednesday's game against the Pelicans.
This will mark Mayo's ninth straight game on the sidelines with his mysterious flu and subsequent conditioning issues. Look for the Bucks to start Brandon Knight and Nate Wolters in the backcourt again.

Mon Feb 10 201418:32O.J. Mayo still out on Monday night
O.J. Mayo (illness) will not play against the Celtics on Monday night.
He's had the flu for almost three weeks now and this story continues to not make sense. Mayo said over the weekend he was hoping to return this week, but he should be considered for doubtful on Wednesday. Nate Wolters and Giannis Antetokounmpo will get most of the minutes at shooting guard.

Fri Feb 7 201415:06O.J. Mayo (illness) still a couple days away
O.J. Mayo (illness) is hopeful to return to the lineup before the All-Star break and said he was still two or three days away at least.
It took a lot out of me," Mayo said of flu. "I've been down for a week in bed, haven't been able to eat. A lot of sleeping." He's had problems with an illness since Jan. 22, but did play in the back-to-back set on Jan. 24-25. Mayo has been getting some shots up, but he still likely has some conditioning issues, which has already been a bugaboo for him even before this period out of the lineup. He can be left on almost all waiver wires while Nate Wolters and Gary Neal get a few extra minutes in the backcourt.

Tue Feb 4 201414:57O.J. Mayo (flu) unlikely to play Wednesday
O.J. Mayo (illness) didn't practice on Tuesday and he's unlikely to travel with the Bucks for Wednesday's game in Denver.
It's been two weeks since the illness initially afflicted Mayo. Although the length of his absence seems very unusual for a simple flu, beat writer Andrew Gruman won't speculate that there's more to the story because there is "no proof of it being anything else." Mayo did at least attend Monday's game in street clothes, so he's been around the team in recent days.

Mon Feb 3 201418:31O.J. Mayo (illness) still out of the lineup
O.J. Mayo (illness) will not play against the Knicks on Monday.
He has been out since Jan. 27 with his illness in one of the stranger stories of the season. Interestingly, he missed Jan. 22's action due to an illness and played two games before his recent out of the lineup. Mayo is not worth owning in almost any league right now.

Thu Jan 30 201414:35Mayo (flu) won't travel for games Fri & Sat
O.J. Mayo (flu) won't travel for the Bucks' upcoming two-game road trip to Orlando and Memphis.
He didn't practice on Thursday and must be dealing with an epic flu. Even if he returns to face the Knicks in Monday's home game, he'll have been sidelined for the better part of two weeks.

Wed Jan 29 201412:35O.J. Mayo (illness) out again vs. Phoenix
O.J. Mayo will not play on Wednesday due to an ongoing illness.
Mayo's first season with Milwaukee gets worse by the day. He's now missed three of the past five games and has shown no signs of stability in the Bucks' unmoored offense. Consider him questionable to return for Friday's road game in Orlando.

Tue Jan 28 201414:27O.J. Mayo (flu) doesn't practice Tuesday
O.J. Mayo (flu) missed another practice on Tuesday and he remains questionable for Wednesday's game.
Mayo has been battling the illness for a week, and given his poor play this season there's no reason to gamble on him when he's not 100 percent. He's averaging 12.2 points on 39.6 percent shooting this season, to go along with 2.4 assists and 2.1 turnovers in 27 minutes per game.

Mon Jan 27 201418:28O.J. Mayo out with an illness on Monday
O.J. Mayo (illness) will not play against the Clippers on Monday.
He missed Wednesday's game with an illness and returned to the lineup over the weekend. Mayo has been one of the most disappointing players in the NBA and there's really no reason to own him in almost any league.

Sat Jan 25 201423:47O.J. Mayo plays terribly yet again
O.J. Mayo played just 21 minutes off the bench on Saturday, scoring two points with one board, three assists and one turnover.
He can't get his own shot right now and it's probably not entirely his fault with the lack of talent around him. Mayo can't beat guys off the dribble and can't even square up off screens fast enough to get free, so we're not sure how he's going to pull himself out of this slump. Translation: Mayo is barely worth owning in almost any format.

Sat Jan 25 201402:38Mayo (illness) logs 22 minutes off the bench
O.J. Mayo (illness) returned to action on Friday against the Cavs, scoring nine points on 3-of-6 shooting with one rebound, six assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 22 minutes off the bench.
Until we can see that Mayo has lost weight we're going to view everything that he does with skepticism. That and make fat jokes. He's waiver wire fodder until he can show consistency on the stat front.

Fri Jan 24 201418:42O.J. Mayo available to play vs. Cavaliers
O.J. Mayo (illness) will return to the lineup and is available off the bench on Friday.
The Bucks winning without Mayo probably isn't a good sign for his value. Most of their splits without Mayo on the court are better than with him, so he still is not a lock to see a consistent role off the bench.

Wed Jan 22 201417:50O.J. Mayo won't play vs. Detroit on Wednesday
O.J. Mayo will not play against the Pistons on Wednesday due to an illness.
The Bucks have messed around with Mayo's minutes all season, highlighted by a seven-minute game on Jan. 16. He isn't really worth owning in standard leagues for now. Luke Ridnour and Giannis Antetokounmpo could see a handful of extra minutes tonight.

Tue Jan 21 201415:06O.J. Mayo (illness) questionable to face DET
O.J. Mayo didn't practice on Tuesday due to illness, leaving him questionable to play the Pistons on Wednesday.
Mayo is the Bucks' second-leading scorer at 12.6 points per game, but that's not saying much. He's shooting 39.7 percent from the field and has hurt fantasy owners in standard leagues more than he's helped them, so there's no reason to gamble on him while he's under the weather.

Tue Jan 21 201413:56O.J. Mayo (illness) misses Tuesday pracice
O.J. Mayo (illness) missed Tuesday's practice.
Mayo should be considered questionable heading into Wednesday's game against Detroit, but is an erratic fantasy option at the moment anyway. He's seen an extreme dip in his playing time and production as of late and has no scored zero points in two of his last three games. We'll update Mayo's status prior to Wednesday's game, but it's getting harder and harder to start (and own) him even when he's healthy.

Mon Jan 20 201411:58O.J. Mayo unhappy w/ Bucks' lack of identity
O.J. Mayo is unhappy with his fluctuating playing time, and he wants the Bucks to develop a reliable identity.
Head coach Larry Drew has yet to find a successful formula, and the Bucks' mounting losses are beginning to wear on Mayo. "It's hard to get a rhythm when you don't know what's going to happen for you night in and night out," Mayo said. "You may get six minutes, 30 minutes. There's no staple to what we're doing." He may get more minutes if Luke Ridnour (wrist) misses any time, but his lousy play this season makes him a questionable pickup in standard leagues.

Sun Jan 19 201421:30O.J. Mayo scoreless in 19 minutes vs. Spurs
O.J. Mayo went scoreless in 19 minutes off the bench in Sunday's road loss, missing all four of his field goal attempts.
He did have two assists and two blocks, but this was Mayo's second scoreless game in the past four days and it was even more dispiriting since Luke Ridnour exited early with a sprained wrist. There's no reason for fantasy owners to continue clinging to Mayo's preseason promise.

Sat Jan 18 201423:48O.J. Mayo scores nine points off the bench
O.J. Mayo played 30 minutes off the bench on Saturday with nine points, five boards, one assist, one 3-pointer and four turnovers.
Anything was going to be an improvement from his seven minutes of action on Wednesday. Mayo still hasn't done enough to suggest he's going to be turning it around. He doesn't drop dimes like he did in Dallas -- of course not having Dirk Nowitzki is part of that -- and he is very inefficient. Mayo is not worth owning in most leagues.
