Sat Dec 3 202208:39Jimmy Butler Returns In Top Form
Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler ended a seven-game absence with a very good performance on Friday, helping his side to a 120-116 overtime victory against Boston. Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler (knee) has been tagged as questionable for the team's game on Friday night against the Boston Celtics. The last time he saw the floor was on November 16th. However, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported Butler could return for one of the team's upcoming back-to-back meetings in Boston, so there is light at the end of the tunnel. In the meantime, Max Strus (shoulder), who is probable versus the Hawks, should take Butler's place in the lineup. Strus has averaged a career-high 15.3 points in 2022-23, so he's worth a start, assuming he plays.

In the meantime, Miami could be down more players heading into Friday's meeting with Washington, including Tyler Herro (ankle), Max Strus (shoulder), Caleb Martin (knee), and Gabe Vincent (knee), among others. The absence marks the third of the season for Butler, who has logged his lone two single-digit shot attempts outings in his past three games. Across 42 minutes of playing time, he logged 35 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists, and two steals while shooting 11-for-19 from the floor and 13-for-15 from the charity stripe. Butler has been a fantastic fantasy asset in all fantasy formats. His value is maximized when he's part of a team-build that doesn't necessarily need to be efficient shooting-wise.

Wed Nov 2 202218:17Jimmy Butler Won't Suit Up On Wednesday
Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler (hip) will be held out of Wednesday's game against the Sacramento Kings. This will be the first missed game for the veteran this season. He's been averaging 35.5 minutes per game which is the most he's played since his days in Minnesota. Max Strus, Duncan Robinson, and Nikola Jovic will most likely see more minutes in his absence. The first two would probably be the better streamers rather than Jovic, but don't expect any of them to be that great of a fantasy asset.

Thu May 26 202200:25Jimmy Butler Has Horrendous Showing Versus Boston
Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler finished with 13 points during the postseason loss to the Celtics. He also added six boards, four assists, two steals, and one block. The veteran certainly struggled shooting the ball, going just 4-for-18 from the field and 1-for-5 from deep. After combining for 70 points throughout the first two games of the series, Butler has a total of 27 in his previous three contests. However, with Miami only one loss away from elimination, the 32-year-old may be extra-motivated to produce during Game 6 on Friday. DFS managers should continue to consider him for all single-game formats.

Wed May 18 202210:57Jimmy Butler Drops Game-High 41 Points In Game 1 Win
Miami Heat small forward Jimmy Butler turned his offensive aggressiveness up to another level during his team's Game 1 victory Tuesday, as he compiled 41 points on 19 shots, including attempting 18 free throws. The performance marks the third time this postseason Butler has reached the 40-point plateau, as he also added nine rebounds, five assists, four steals, and three blocks for an all-around massive outing. Arguably the best playoff showing of Butler's career came in the first game this postseason in which he did not knock down a triple. His constant effort on both ends of the floor favor his continued DFS appeal as the series carries on, with Game 2 coming Thursday.

Sat May 7 202200:41Jimmy Butler Leads All Scorers In Game 3
Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler scored a game-high 33 points during Friday's postseason battle against Philadelphia. However, it wasn't enough, as the 76ers managed to move a game closer to knotting up the series. The veteran can't shoulder much of the blame for the loss, primarily since he also added nine rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Nonetheless, with Kyle Lowry (hamstring) not 100% and Bam Adebayo having to worry about Joel Embiid (face, thumb, concussion) roaming underneath the basket, Butler has an excellent chance at remaining Miami's top scorer for the foreseeable future.
