Thu Feb 20 201402:55Jimmer Fredette plays four minutes
Jimmer Fredette played through an illness on Wednesday and scored three points in four minutes.
He's had some nice games this season, but has been far too inconsistent to be relied upon by fantasy owners. And unless the Kings make another trade, that's probably not going to change any time soon.

Jimmer Fredette practiced for the Kings on Tuesday after missing Monday's session with an illness.
It sounds like he should be ready to play on Wednesday, not that it has fantasy implications.

Wed Feb 12 201422:53Jimmer drops 24 points on the Knicks at MSG
Jimmer Fredette saved the Kings from some nasty All Star break blues by turning around Wednesday's game in the second quarter, finishing with 24 points on 9-of-14 shooting, six threes, two steals and two assist in 27 minutes.
Jimmer got hot and he was allowed to roll heavy in the second and fourth quarters tonight. It can't be understated how important his performance was both in terms of the Kings' ability to trade him before the break, but also because the Kings were showing some serious cracks in the foundation prior to this win. He's not going to stay hot like this forever and even if he's showcased it will likely be in a sub-20 minute role. He still can't defend anybody and that's going to make fantasy value hard to come by.

Mon Feb 3 201416:34Jimmer Fredette should be back on Monday
Jimmer Fredette (illness) expects to play against the Bulls on Monday might.
He missed Saturday with a stomach problem, which allowed Ray McCallum to get 10 minutes against the Spurs. Fredette doesn't have much fantasy value and only played 15 minutes combined over his previous two games.

Sat Feb 1 201419:11Jimmer Fredette out against the Spurs
Jimmer Fredette (illness) will not play against the Spurs on Saturday.
He had a 19-minute outing on Monday because Isaiah Thomas had an illness, but he only played 15 minutes combined over his last two. Fredette's defense is as bad as all the draft pundits predicted and his offensive skill set hasn't really come along either.

Thu Jan 23 201400:40Jimmer Fredette scores 14 in 18 minutes
Jimmer Fredette hit 4-of-6 3-pointers for 14 points, two rebounds and one assists in just 18 minutes off the bench on Wednesday.
He'll need a lot more minutes than that to be fantasy-worthy, so ignore tonight's solid numbers for now, as they might be showcasing him for a trade.

Wed Jan 8 201417:55Source: Kings willing to deal Jimmer Fredette
The Kings are reportedly willing to trade Jimmer Fredette to the Nuggets in a package to land Andre Miller.
Fredette could use a change of scenery, but his primary issue is on defense. He'll remain off the fantasy radar, regardless of his team, until he learns to defend his position at the NBA level.

Fri Jan 3 201402:56Jimmer Fredette scores season-high 15 in loss
Jimmer Fredette came off the bench to hit 5-of-9 shots and three 3-pointers for a season-high 15 points, four rebounds, zero assists and a block in just 17 minutes on Thursday.
It's hard to get too excited about Jimmer with such low minutes, but he has scored in double figures in two straight games after only doing so once previously. But he played just 13 minutes in the other game, and unless he suddenly starts getting 25 instead of fewer than 20 minutes per game, he'll be too inconsistent to use in most fantasy leagues.

Thu Dec 12 201312:38Jimmer Fredette gets first crack as backup PG
Jimmer Fredette got first crack at backing up point guard Isaiah Thomas during Wednesday's loss to the Jazz.
Coach Michael Malone said Fredette would get "first crack" at backing up Thomas following the trade of Greivis Vasquez, and the former BYU star responded by scoring a season-high 13 points on 4-of-6 shooting in 12 minutes Wednesday night. Malone will likely try to see what he has in Ray McCallum before he makes a final decision on his lineup, so we'll need to see some consistent minutes out of The Jimmer before recommending him as a pickup in most leagues.

Wed Nov 20 201313:22Kings 'aggressively pursuing' trade options
The Kings are "aggressively pursuing trade possibilities," according to Scott Howard-Cooper of NBA.com.
Sacramento would like to trade veterans for young players and draft picks but it's uncertain if they'll find any interested trade partners, and the report doesn't mention any possible teams or players who might be involved. Jimmer Fredette is the lone exception, but the conclusion is that Jimmer "would bring little in return.

Thu Nov 14 201310:35Jimmer Freddette chalks up another DNP-CD
Jimmer Freddette racked up his fifth "Did Not Play - Coach's Decision" of the season Wednesday night.
Freddette has seen DNP-CD next to his name in five of seven games this season as 10th pick in the 2011 NBA draft's stock continues to plummet. The Kings already decided not to pick up Freddette's option for the 2014-15 season, so we can expect more five-letter monikers to appear next to The Jimmer's name as the season progresses.

Thu Oct 31 201316:45Kings won't pick up Jimmer Fredette's option
The Kings will not pick up Jimmer Fredette's $3.1 million option for the 2014-15 season, according to Sam Amick of USA Today.
It's a sign of the times for Jimmer, who picked up a DNP-CD in the Kings' opener and doesn't seem to have earned a role in Mike Malone's rotations. The No. 10 pick in the 2011 draft averaged just 14 minutes in 69 appearances last season, down from 19 minutes per game in his rookie year.

Fri Oct 18 201300:41Jimmer Time: Fredette hits five triples
Jimmer Fredette was left open for most of Thursday's game and hit five 3-pointers, finishing with 23 points, four boards, five assists and two steals on 9-of-15 shooting.
The obligatory 'it's preseason' is required here and Jimmer won't be doing this much, if at all this season. The Kings do need some shooters on the perimeter, but with the way coach Mike Malone preaches defense, it's not going to help Fredette's chances for minutes.

Thu Oct 10 201320:54Jimmer Fredette is starting at shooting guard
Jimmer Fredette is starting at shooting guard against the Lakers on Thursday night.
He'll join Isaiah Thomas Travis Outlaw, Patrick Patterson and DeMarcus Cousins in the lineup. Coach Mike Malone has some work to do in figuring out his rotation, so he might want to get a better look at The Jimmer. Fredette will need a preseason for the ages to put himself on the map in standard fantasy leagues.

Tue Aug 20 201310:21Kings listening to offers for Jimmer Fredette
The Kings are "not actively shopping Jimmer [Fredette]" but they have received interest from other teams.
Sacramento "will move him if the deals make sense," according to beat writer Jason Jones, which simply confirms that Jimmer is expendable in the Kings' new backcourt featuring rookie Ben McLemore. New coach Mike Malone has already expressed concern about Jimmer's defensive abilities, or lack thereof.

Tue Jul 16 201316:06Malone already critical of Jimmer's defense
New coach Mike Malone hinted that he's concerned with Jimmer Fredette's defense.
"I know he can shoot the ball, but we need everybody to buy in on the defensive end," Malone said of Fredette. "You have to be able to guard your man, step in the game and help us out." Jimmer's reputation precedes him even though the Kings have brought in a new regime. If they can get anything at all for him, he'll likely be traded. Greivis Vasquez, Isaiah Thomas, Ben McLemore, Marcus Thornton and even Ray McCallum area all better options for the Kings.

Mon Jul 15 201322:14Jimmer Fredette hopes to stay with the Kings
Jimmer Fredette is hoping to stay with the Kings.
"Hopefully I'll be a big part of this organization next season," Fredette said. "You never know what their vision is exactly but that's why I'm here. I'm able to talk with them, meet with them and see what their vision is. Hopefully I'm a part of it next year." The Kings were reportedly shopping in an effort to sign Monta Ellis, but that didn't come to pass. He'll be behind Ben McLemore and the expectations are somewhat low for Jimmer.

Mon Jul 8 201310:11Report: Kings shopping Jimmer Fredette
The Kings have been shopping Jimmer Fredette and Chuck Hayes to the Cavaliers to create cap room for Monta Ellis.
This rumor of Fredette being shopped came up last month and was shot down fairly quickly. Fredette has $2.4 million guaranteed on his contract for this season with a team option for 2014-15 and the Kings wouldn't really get much back in a trade. Hayes' contract is through 2014-15 and will be very tough to unload.
