Mon Sep 29 201414:55McGary 100 percent healthy heading into season
McGary is 100 percent healthy heading into the season, Royce Young of The Oklahoman reports. "Yep, I've been there for the last two or three months. Feeling great."
At the Orlando Summer League, McGary was still dealing with the lingering effects of January back surgery, but he indicated he's been healthy since mid-summer. The big man did not play for Michigan last season, causing him to slip to the end of the first round in June's draft. He certainly has the talent to contribute right away, but he'll step into a crowded Oklahoma City frontcourt that could limit his opportunities.
Wed Jul 9 201417:54Mitch McGary looks great again on Wednesday
Mitch McGary kept his terrific Orlando Pro Summer League going on Wednesday, scoring 15 points with two boards, one steal, one block and no turnovers in 23 minutes.
He's shown some nice touch on his jumper and has been able to get to the rim from different spots on the court. His offensive game seems to be ahead of Steven Adams and both young guys should take some minutes away from Kendrick Perkins. McGary still has a ways to go to getting on the fantasy radar in standard leagues.

Sun Jul 6 201415:05Mitch McGary (back) looks good in Orlando
Thunder center Mitch McGary (back) looked great during Saturday's game in the Orlando Pro Summer League.
McGary showed no signs of the lower back injury that ended his sophomore season with Michigan, and said after the game, "My back feels great. I only have one gear, and it's all or nothing." He's a terrific rebounder with good speed in transition, and he could immediately contend for playing time alongside Kendrick Perkins and Steven Adams at center.

Thunder sign C Mitch McGary.
They took him a bit early at 21 in the draft and he could find himself as an end-of-the-bench guy this upcoming season. McGary is expected to play in summer league, but his back may still be bothering him.
