Black suffered a thigh bruise in Saturday's game against the Celtics and will not return, the Houston Chronicle's Jonathan Feigen reports.

Sun Aug 31 201414:52Black signed non-guaranteed contract with Rockets on Wednesday
Black signed a non-guaranteed contract with the Rockets on Wednesday, the Houston Chronicle reports.
Black went undrafted in the 2014 NBA Draft but played with the Rockets' summer league teams in both Orlando and Las Vegas. He's unlikely to make the Rockets, but he'll get some experience in training camp and possibly play for their D-League team, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. Black is a Reggie Evans-type player who uses his strength and determination to rebound well and carve out defensive space on the floor, but he's not going to produce much on offense.
