Drew launched his third homer of the season, going 1-for-3 with an RBI in Friday's win over the Rays.
Drew's three home runs already match his total in that department from last season after joining the Yankees. While his power has been good thus far, he has just two hits other than the longballs as he continues to struggle hitting for average with a .167/.235/.467 slash line.

Coming on for an injured Brett Gardner, Drew launched a pinch-hit grand slam in the seventh inning to help lead the Yankees over the Orioles Monday night.
Drew has struggled with the bat as the regular second baseman, but has now homered in consecutive games. He's looking to rebound after a 2014 season to forget between the Yankees and the Red Sox.
Mon Apr 13 201515:48Drew not in lineup for Monday's game against Orioles
Drew is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Orioles, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.
Drew will get his second game off in three days as the Yankees face another left-handed pitcher in Wei-Yin Chen. Gregorio Petit will assume second base duties, batting ninth as he fills in for the 32-year-old.
Mon Apr 13 201510:30Drew 1-3 with home run and two RBI in Sunday's win over Red Sox
Drew went 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI in Sunday's win over the Red Sox.
After his career worst season in 2014, Drew could be in some jeopardy of keeping his everyday job if the numbers aren't better this time around. Sunday was his most productive day at the plate thus far this season, as he also scored his first run and drew his first walk, but the lefty is now just 3-for-20 in five games so he'll likely have to continue to solid offensive showings going forward.
Thu Apr 9 201515:35Drew out of lineup Thursday
Drew is out of the lineup Thursday, ESPN New York's Wallace Matthews reports.
He is 1-for-7 to start the year and has typically been hitting in the eight hole. Gregorio Petit gets the start at second Thursday, but Drew should be back in the mix Friday.
Wed Apr 8 201516:28Drew 0-3 in Monday's Opening Day loss to Blue Jays
Drew went 0-for-3 in Monday's Opening Day loss to the Blue Jays.
Drew is coming off of the most disappointing season of his career, slashing .162/.237/.299 in 85 games with both the Yankees and Red Sox in 2014, but was re-signed and named the team's starting second baseman. Both Brendan Ryan and Jose Pirela sustained injuries in spring training, temporarily eliminating some of Drew's competition, but manager Joe Girardi acknowledged that they may look at alternative options should the 32-year-old struggle again this season.
Tue Mar 10 201513:24Drew will be team's starting second baseman this season
Drew will be the team's starting second baseman this season, ESPN New York reports.
Drew re-signed with the Yankees on a one year deal, but with prospects Jose Pirela and Rob Refsnyder impressing in the lower ranks, it wasn't a foregone conclusion that he'd be the Opening Day starter. Last season was the worst of his career, as he slashed just .162/.237/.299 splitting time with the Red Sox and Yankees. Given his struggles, manager Joe Girardi acknowledged "if anyone were to struggle, we would probably make a change," so either Pirela or Refsnyder could be candidates to replace Drew at some point this season.
Tue Jan 6 201522:04Stephen Drew: To Sign One-Year Deal With Yankees
Drew has agreed to sign a one-year deal with the Yankees, CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reports.
The deal will be worth close to $5 million, with incentives that could bring it up to $7 million. Prior to the deal to bring back Drew, the Yankees were probably looking at Robert Refsnyder being the starting second baseman, so it is understandable that the Yankees wanted to add some depth at the keystone. Drew will also be able to play some shortstop, but Didi Gregorious figures to get the majority of the work there. Last season was a disaster for Drew, as he was unable to sign with a team before the start of the season, and ended up posting a .162 average with seven home runs in 300 plate appearances. However, a lot of that was bad luck, as he posted a .194 BABIP. His batting average should rebound closer to his .256 career average, but he is unlikely to add much in terms of counting stats.
Wed Sep 17 201416:25Drew not in lineup Wednesday against Rays
Drew is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Rays, MLB.com's Bryan Hoch reports.
Drew will sit out for the third time in five games, with Brendan Ryan stepping in at second base. After his delayed start to the season following his inability to sign a contract during the offseason, Drew has never rounded into form. He's batting a woeful .156/.236/.291 over 237 at-bats this season, and be in store for another winter where he has difficulty finding work.
Sat Sep 6 201413:06Drew out of lineup Saturday against Royals
Drew is out of the lineup Saturday against the Royals.
Drew has been playing a lot lately, but considering he is hitless in his last 14 at-bats and Martin Prado is over his sore hamstring, Drew could start seeing less playing time down the stretch.
Wed Aug 27 201417:01Drew out of lineup Wednesday against Tigers
Drew is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Tigers, ESPN New York's Wallace Matthews reports.
Drew will take a seat with lefty David Price on the mound for the Tigers. Martin Prado takes his spot at second base.
Mon Aug 25 201422:49Drew lifted solo home run off of James Shields as Yankees defeat...
Drew lifted a solo home run off of James Shields as the Yankees defeated the Royals 8-1 Monday night.
Drew has continued to struggle since moving from the Red Sox to the Yankees, hitting just .167 since the trade. After getting a late start to his season, Drew is hitting a cumulative .173 with six home runs in 191 at-bats.
Sun Aug 24 201411:24Drew out of lineup Sunday against White Sox
Drew is out of the lineup Sunday against the White Sox, MLB.com's Bryan Hoch reports.
The Yankees will stock up heavily on right-handed bats with Chris Sale on the mound for the White Sox, with several key regulars taking a seat as a result. Drew, Jacoby Ellsbury, Brian McCann and Brett Gardner will all find themselves out of the lineup Sunday, with Brendan Ryan, Ichiro Suzuki, Francisco Cervelli and Zelous Wheeler manning their respective positions.
Sat Aug 16 201412:56Drew out of Yankees' lineup Saturday against Rays
Drew is out of the Yankees' lineup Saturday against the Rays, Newsday's Erik Boland reports.
Martin Prado will draw the start at second base Saturday with Carlos Beltran returning to right field, pushing Drew to the bench after eight straight starts. The move from Boston to the Bronx did little to ignite Drew's bat, as he's hit just .170/.204/.255 in 13 games since joining the Yankees.
Fri Aug 1 201417:28Drew in lineup Friday
Drew is in the lineup Friday, playing second base and batting eighth for the Yankees, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.
Drew will face his former team, the Red Sox, in his Yankees debut. He will likely see a majority of the starts at second going forward with Brian Roberts designated for assignment, but Martin Prado and Brendan Ryan are also available to fill in if needed.
Thu Jul 31 201415:52Stephen Drew: Traded To The Yankees
The Red Sox traded Drew to the Yankees on Thursday for Kelly Johnson, ESPN's Buster Olney reports.
Boston sends Drew to New York in its fourth trade of the day, a trade which amounts to little more than a housekeeping move to clear some money off the books. Drew has posted just a .176/.255/.328 batting line in 39 games with the Red Sox this season, but he figures to supplant Brian Roberts at second base for the Yankees.
Mon Jul 21 201421:59Stephen Drew homers, knocks in four
Stephen Drew went 2-for-4 with a homer and four RBI against the Blue Jays on Monday.
Drew had five RBI in 99 at-bats before nearly doubling his season total today. He's 7-for-17 with three extra-base hits and four walks in his last five games. We're not ready to suggest picking him up in mixed leagues, but the idea is not nearly so far fetched as it was a couple of weeks ago.

Sat Jul 12 201412:26Stephen Drew not in Red Sox lineup Saturday
Stephen Drew is not in the Red Sox starting lineup for Saturday's contest against the Astros.

Sat Jul 5 201422:58Drew homers again but Red Sox fall to O's
Stephen Drew homered again in the second half of Saturday's doubleheader against the Orioles.
The shortstop hit his first home run of 2014 in the first game -- a Red Sox win. Boston couldn't take the nightcap. Drew has struggled since re-signing with Boston in late May, but he was deprived of a spring training and can maybe get it going in the second half.

Sat Jul 5 201415:59Stephen Drew belts first homer as BoSox win
Stephen Drew belted his first home run of the 2014 season as the Red Sox took the first game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Orioles.
The second inning blast off Miguel Gonzalez got the Red Sox on the board first, and was his only hit in three at-bats on the afternoon. He's been absolutely atrocious at the plate thus far, slashing an incomprehensible .145/.181/.232 with just three RBI.
