Oswaldo Arcia homered in Wednesday's loss against the Angels.
Arcia finished 1-for-3 with a walk. He was given Tuesday's series opener off. This was Arcia's first homer since June 5. He came into tonight in a horrific 2-for-43 (.047) slump over his previous 13 games. Hopefully he cleared his head out during the day off and is prepared to take the next step in his developmental curve.

Arcia hasn't started since leaving Thursday's game with a sprained right ankle. He might not be feeling well enough to play the outfield yet but is good enough to be used in the designated hitter spot Sunday.

Arcia was forced from Thursday's game with a sprained right ankle. He tested things out Friday afternoon and it apparently didn't go well. It's not clear at this point if he might have to miss additional games. Arica has homered in two straight contests.

Oswaldo Arcia went 2-for-3 with a grand slam in Thursday's loss to the Brewers.
Arcia exited after six innings with a sprained right ankle. He slugged a salami in the third inning off of Wily Peralta, but unfortunately for the Twins, the Brewers also brought the lumber. The blast was Arcia's fourth homer of the season and marked the second consecutive day he finished with a homer and four RBI. He has been swinging well since returning from the disabled list, now carrying a .286/.297/.571 slash line with four homers and 13 RBI in 64 plate appearances.

Oswaldo Arcia had a three-run homer and an RBI single to lead the Twins to a 6-4 win over the Brewers on Wednesday.
That's three homers in 10 games since Arcia rejoined the Twins. Overall, he's hitting .333 with eight RBI in those games. We wouldn't count on him hitting for average all year long, but the power is there to make him an acceptable fifth outfielder in mixed leagues.

Oswaldo Arcia belted a solo home run off Vidal Nuno on Friday, helping to lead the Twins to a victory over the Yankees.
He finished the night 2-for-4 and scored a pair of runs. He has now hit safely in each of his first five games since returning from the disabled list, going 9-for-21 (.333) with a pair of homers and two RBI. He's worthy of being started in all mixed leagues while he's hitting in the middle of the Twins lineup.

Oswaldo Arcia went 2-for-4 with his first home run of the season and the game-tying run in the ninth as the Twins came from behind to beat the Rangers 4-3 on Tuesday.
Arcia returned to the Twins' lineup on Monday, and Tuesday he went deep for the first time this year after hitting 14 home run in 351 at-bats last season. Arcia also doubled off Rangers closer Joakim Soria in the ninth inning, later coming around to score the game-tying run. With a wrist injury behind him, Arcia's power should play again this year. He's a nice add in deeper mixed leagues.

The Twins will recall Oswaldo Arcia from Triple-A Rochester prior to Monday's game.
Arcia was optioned to Triple-A after completing his rehab from a wrist injury, but he's earned a promotion back to the majors after batting .312/.365/.597 with five homers and 18 RBI over 22 games at Rochester. He should immediately slide back into a starting role in right field and is worth picking up in deeper formats.

The Twins are overrated their current group if they think they don't need Arcia, who hit .308/.349/.487 in 12 games on his rehab assignment. One imagines he'll be up for good sign enough; Jason Kubel's OPS is down to .691, Chris Colabello's is at .702.

Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said Tuesday that Oswaldo Arcia's wrist is "not bothering him," but the outfielder "just needs at-bats" before returning.
Arcia has appeared in seven rehab games already, but it sounds like he'll need a few more. The young outfielder was batting just .111/.158/.222 with one RBI in 18 at-bats through his first four games before landing on the DL.
