Tue Dec 4 201219:38Redman will 'supplement' Dwyer for Steelers
Coach Mike Tomlin expects Isaac Redman to continue to "supplement" starting RB Jonathan Dwyer.
"Red is capable of distinguishing himself in situational football, short yardage," said Tomlin. "He's a good blitz-pickup guy." Redman has no fantasy value as the third-down back. He can be dropped in 12-team leagues.

Sun Dec 2 201219:56Isaac Redman rushes nine times in win
Isaac Redman bounced back from his rough Week 12 effort in Pittsburgh's Week 13 win over the Ravens, rushing nine times for 43 yards.
The Steelers stayed true to their word, using Jonathan Dwyer as a workhorse early. However, they returned to a two-back rotation after Dwyer entered halftime with 10 touches for just 27 yards. Dwyer saw the rock nine times over the final two quarters to Redman's seven. Redman carried the ball four times on Pittsburgh's final series, with Dwyer getting the ball only twice. This very much remains a "hot-hand" backfield, with Dwyer maintaining a slight edge for fantasy purposes.

Sun Nov 25 201217:43Isaac Redman fumbles away chance
Isaac Redman rushed two times for seven yards and lost a fumble in the Steelers' Week 12 loss to the Browns.
Rashard Mendenhall started and was benched after a fumble on his second carry. Next up was Jonathan Dwyer, who lost a fumble as well. Then Redman got his chance and coughed the ball up on a third-down draw play. This entire backfield is hands off against the Ravens in Week 13.

Wed Nov 21 201216:35Isaac Redman practicing in full
Isaac Redman (concussion) is practicing in full this week.
Redman passed the NFL's concussion protocol and was back in practice on Wednesday. He'll be active in Week 12, but is now the low man on the totem pole in Pittsburgh. With Rashard Mendenhall and Jonathan Dwyer getting a bulk of the work, Redman won't be a fantasy factor.

Isaac Redman (concussion) will practice Wednesday.
Redman has passed his "impact" test. He'll likely be limited in practice, but it's a sign that he'll be active for a bit role behind Rashard Mendenhall and Jonathan Dwyer against the Browns Sunday.

Sun Nov 18 201221:26Isaac Redman suffers possible concussion
Isaac Redman was forced from Pittsburgh's Week 11 game against the Ravens with a possible concussion, and is questionable to return.
Redman departed early in the second quarter. Part of a three-man backfield along with Rashard Mendenhall and Jonathan Dwyer, Redman had just one carry for five yards before going down. It's doubtful we see him again this evening.

Thu Nov 15 201216:19Redman wasn't punished for Week 10 fumble
The Steelers reportedly planned to alternate Isaac Redman and Jonathan Dwyer every two series in Week 10.
In other words, Redman wasn't punished for his costly first-quarter fumble. The game plan called for Dwyer to handle the second quarter while Redman returned for the third. With Rashard Mendenhall expected back as the Week 11 starter, Redman doesn't need to be carried in 12-team leagues.

Mon Nov 12 201223:57Redman starts but loses snaps after fumble
Isaac Redman started Monday night's Week 10 game against the Chiefs but rushed for just 21 yards on eight carries in the 16-13 overtime victory.
Redman got the nod over Jonathan Dwyer out of the gate but fumbled at his own 10-yard line early on in the first quarter and lost considerable snaps to Dwyer the rest of the way. Redman did catch two passes for an additional 18 yards. With Rashard Mendenhall (Achilles') targeting a Week 11 return against the Ravens, Redman will go back to just being a pure handcuff for fantasy purposes.

Mon Nov 12 201219:27Redman getting start at running back for MNF
Isaac Redman will start at running back over Jonathan Dwyer on Monday night against the Chiefs.
Steelers beat writer Mark Kaboly confirmed this on Saturday, but being it happened on the weekend, it likely gets lost in the news. Rotoworld's Chris Wesseling bumped Redman up from No. 23 to No. 19 in the Week 10 rankings on Sunday morning. Pittsburgh will likely employ a "hot hand" approach, but we like Redman as a better RB2/flex option. There are rainy and windy weather conditions in Pittsburgh, so running backs should get plenty of work.

Sat Nov 10 201214:17Redman to get the start for Steelers on MNF
Isaac Redman will get the start versus the Chiefs on Monday night.
Redman broke the news to Steelers beat writer Mark Kaboly. This has been the feeling all week after Redman ran for 147 yards and a touchdown against the Giants last week. Jonathan Dwyer will be the backup while Rashard Mendenhall rests his Achilles' one more week. Rotoworld's Chris Wesseling ranks Redman as the No. 23 running back for Week 10, but that could go up a few ticks on Sunday morning with Saturday's confirmation.

Thu Nov 8 201218:15Redman expected to draw start versus Chiefs
According to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, "all signs" point to Isaac Redman starting versus the Chiefs Monday night.
The Trib-Review has drawn the same conclusion as the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Ed Bouchette, who has the feeling coach Mike Tomlin will "stick with" Redman's hot hand from Week 9. The breakdown between Redman and Jonathan Dwyer will depend on game momentum and the success they have with their carries Monday night. Both backs are flex options for Week 10. Rashard Mendenhall (Achilles) is expected to sit out one more game.

Tue Nov 6 201215:43Steelers will roll with hot hand at tailback
Coach Mike Tomlin said the running back that "gets the totes" Monday night versus the Chiefs will be the one that develops the hot hand.
"I really think it's that simple," said Tomlin. "Whoever's effective, they'll get the ball." The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Ed Bouchette opined to 93.7 The Fan Tuesday that Jonathan Dwyer (quad) deserves the start, but "I get the feeling (Tomlin) is going to stick with Isaac Redman" because he was higher on the depth chart and is coming off 147 yards against the Super Bowl champions.

Sun Nov 4 201219:47Isaac Redman breaks loose for 147 yards
Isaac Redman stepped up in the absence of Jonathan Dwyer and Rashard Mendenhall in Week 9, rushing 26 times for 147 yards and a touchdown in Pittsburgh's 24-20 win over the Giants.
He added two catches for four yards. Averaging 2.5 yards on his first 50 carries coming into this afternoon, Redman gutted the Giants' shaky run defense, pin-balling through holes and off defenders in a respectable Ray Rice impression. Nine of his 26 carries went for five yards or more. It's likely today will go down as the usually lead-footed Redman's best performance of the season, but he's still worth adding as an RB5 in case neither Dwyer nor Mendenhall can answer the bell in Week 10.

Fri Nov 2 201214:26Isaac Redman listed as probable
Isaac Redman (ankle) is listed as probable for Week 9 against the Giants, and is expected to start.
Redman lacks any hint of legitimate upside due to his bottom-barrel running ability, but there are worse Week 9 flex options out there. He should be in store for no fewer than 14 touches against the G-Men, as Jonathan Dwyer and Rashard Mendenhall are both doubtful to play. Look for Chris Rainey, the rookie gadget back, and third-down option Baron Batch to back up Redman.

Wed Oct 31 201216:24Isaac Redman practicing in full this week
Isaac Redman (ankle) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice.
Redman got in a week of limited practices last week before missing his second consecutive game. He's on track to play against the Giants, but with both Jonathan Dwyer (quad) and Rashard Mendenhall (Achilles) trending in the right direction, as well, Redman is off the fantasy radar.

Isaac Redman (ankle) will practice Wednesday.
Redman practiced on a limited basis last week, but was held out of the win over the Redskins. It looks like he'll be available for at least some third-down duties in Week 9.

Fri Oct 26 201215:23Isaac Redman listed as questionable
Isaac Redman (ankles) was limited in Friday's practice and is listed as questionable for Week 8 against the Redskins.
Redman is tentatively expected to play Sunday, and should bypass Baron Batch as Pittsburgh's primary third-down back behind Jonathan Dwyer. Redman is believed to be battling injuries on both ankles. It's hard to imagine the Steelers giving him many carries at significantly less than 100-percent health.

Fri Oct 26 201213:35Redman has problems with both ankles
Steelers RB Isaac Redman is reportedly battling problems with both ankles.
Redman practiced on Friday, and reportedly felt so good that he now believes he has a chance to play Sunday versus the Redskins. If he does suit up, Redman is likely to be limited to a passing-down role behind Jonathan Dwyer. Rashard Mendenhall is expected to return in Week 9.
