Chicago Cubs first baseman
Frank Schwindel pinch-hit in Thursday's blowout loss versus the Milwaukee Brewers and went 2-for-2 with two runs scored and a solo home run. Schwindel hit his third homer of the season off of
Daniel Norris in the bottom of the seventh inning, but it wouldn't come close to getting the Cubs back into the game. Schwindel didn't start on Thursday, but he's gotten his fair share of playing time at first base with
Anthony Rizzo being dealt to the New York Yankees. Schwindel started the season with the Oakland Athletics, but has gotten most of his at-bats with the Cubs and is hitting .283 with three home runs and 10 RBI between the two clubs in 53 at-bats. Schwindel has been swinging well of late, but can remain on the waiver wire in most formats.
