New York Yankees pitching prospect
Luis Gil is slated to start Tuesday's game against the Orioles. Manager Aaron Boone initially said that
Nestor Cortes Jr. would start Tuesday night's game in place of
Gerrit Cole, who tested positive for the virus- though it will be Gil, the fourth-ranked prospect in the organization. The 23-year-old possesses a mid-to-high nineties fastball with a hard slider but has struggled with control in the minors, posting a 1.34 WHIP in 61 innings across two levels. Despite that, Gil has shown no trouble striking out hitters, posting a 27.7 percent strikeout rate at the Triple-A level, something that could make him worth a look in DFS against an Orioles' team that ranks 18th in strikeout rate.
