Thu Mar 30 202316:21Corbin Carroll Hitting Seventh Against Dodgers
Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll is starting in center field and is hitting seventh in the batting order on Opening Day on Thursday night against left-hander Julio Urias and the Los Angeles Dodgers. It's not where fantasy managers want to see Carroll hitting, but he'll most likely hit higher in the lineup on a regular basis against right-handed pitchers. Kyle Lewis is serving as Arizona's designated hitter on Thursday and is hitting leadoff. Fantasy managers are hoping that the 22-year-old Carroll can carry over his hot spring training performance -- .370 batting average (17-for-46) with six doubles, three triples, seven RBI and five stolen bases in 17 games -- into the regular season, but the matchup against Urias isn't a good one.

Arizona Diamondbacks outfielderCorbin Carrollagreed to terms on an eight-year, $111 million extension on Saturday. There is a club option for 2031 that would bring the total value to $134 million. Carroll will have his club-controlled years bought out and his first two years of free agency if the club option is picked up. The 22-year-old has been an exciting prospect for the Diamondbacks, and his talents are flowing over into the fantasy world. He's currently ranked as RotoBaller's 83rd player overall and has an ADP of 83. Carroll could be an all-around contributor this season for your fantasy squad.

Mon Feb 20 202320:44Diamondbacks Open To Extension With Corbin Carroll
The Arizona Diamondbacks view rookie outfielder Corbin Carroll as a centerpiece of their future and have engaged him in conversations about a long-term contract, according to sources. It could be the team's best time to strike to ensure that they keep him around beyond the minimum of six year's of club control. The 22-year-old spent only 38 days in the big leagues last year after debuting in August. He hit .260/.330/.500 with nine doubles, two triples and four home runs in 32 games played. Carroll is set to enter 2023 as the team's primary left fielder, and he'll have plenty of fantasy appeal in his first full major-league season. He's widely regarded as one of baseball's best prospects, and RotoBaller has him ranked as the No. 22 fantasy outfielder. Carroll is an impact bat that has All-Star potential to hit for average and power.

Thu Oct 6 202211:32Corbin Carroll Homers To Conclude Rookie Season
Arizona Diamondbacks rookie outfielder Corbin Carroll went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in the team's 4-2 win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday to wrap up his first MLB season on a high note. The 22-year-old left-handed hitter closed out the year with six hits in his final 19 at-bats with the home run, four runs scored and a stolen base in his final six games. In total, Carroll slashed .260/.330/.500 with an .830 OPS, four home runs, 14 RBI, 13 runs scored and two stolen bases in 104 at-bats in his first 32 games for the Snakes in 2022. He should be a big part of Arizona's future moving forward and should see regular playing time from the beginning of next season.

Sat Sep 10 202218:16Corbin Carroll Sitting Out Saturday
Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll is out of the lineup Saturday against the Colorado Rockies. Carroll has been hot recently, with a homer in each of his last two games, and would likely be in the lineup under normal circumstances. Unfortunately, the Diamondbacks have to limit the stud rookie's plate appearances to close out the season so that he doesn't break the rookie threshold of 130 at-bats, so he will sit a game every once in a while. Losing a hitter game in Coors Field isn't what fantasy managers want at this time of the year, but sadly the D-backs don't care about what we want. He should be back in the lineup tomorrow.

Wed Aug 31 202216:32Corbin Carroll Retreats To The Bench Wednesday
Arizona Diamondbacks rookie outfielder Corbin Carroll is not in the starting lineup against the Philadelphia Phillies and left-hander Bailey Falter on Wednesday night. Carroll has proved to be the real deal so far in his first two major league games, but he'll get the day off on Wednesday. The 22-year-old left-handed hitter has three hits (two doubles), five RBI, four runs scored and one strikeout in his first 10 major league at-bats for the D-backs. Carroll probably won't be this good to close out the season, but he's deserving of being rostered in all fantasy formats for the rest of the 2022 campaign. Stone Garrett is starting in left field and is hitting fifth on Wednesday against Falter. Garrett has also been impressive in his first six big-league games, going 9-for-23 (.391) with two homers, four RBI and six runs scored.

Mon Aug 29 202218:24Corbin Carroll Recalled On Monday
Arizona Diamondbacks outfield prospect Corbin Carroll has been officially recalled ahead of Monday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies. This was the expectation as the 22-year-old is clearly ready for the big league level. He was hitting .307/.425/.611 with 24 home runs and 11 stolen bases in the minors this season. The assumption is that Carroll will get fairly regular playing time down the stretch of the season. He'll be worth a look in deep leagues and NL-only formats. Carroll is batting eighth and playing right field against left-hander Ranger Suarez on Monday.

Sun Aug 28 202219:35Corbin Carroll Expected To Be Recalled
Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll is expected to be recalled prior to Monday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies. The 22-year-old is well deserving of a promotion after the season he has put together. Carroll is hitting .307/.425/.611 with 24 homers, 62 RBI and 31 stolen bases in Triple-A Reno this season. The assumption is that he'll play basically every day with the D-Backs being non-competitive. He could very well hold some deep league or NL-only value through the rest of the regular season.

Fri Aug 19 202215:07Corbin Carroll To Make MLB Debut This Year
Arizona Diamondbacks general manager Mike Hazen suggested that outfield prospect Corbin Carroll will make his major league debut at some point before the end of the season. The D-backs want to be as sure as possible that Carroll is ready to get to the majors and stay there. The No. 3 overall prospect in all of baseball, per MLB Pipeline, has hit .316/.430/.590 in parts of three minor league seasons, including a .315/.431/.616 slash line between Double-A and Triple-A in 2022. The former first-rounder in 2019 has flown through the farm system but lost the 2020 season due to the pandemic and missed all but seven games in 2021 with a shoulder injury. It remains to be seen how Carroll will fare when he faces big-league pitching, but his upside alone makes him worth a pickup in all single-league fantasy formats.

Fri Aug 19 202208:28Corbin Carroll Hasn't Missed A Beat Since Promotion
Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll went 1-for-4 with a solo home run for Triple-A Reno on Thursday. Since being promoted to Reno, Carroll has hit .308 with five homers, 18 RBI and 10 stolen bases. Carroll opened the season with two games in rookie ball but spent the next 58 games in Double-A and the last 26 for Triple-A. Arguably the top prospect in the game, Carroll has checked the boxes at all levels, and it wouldn't be surprising to see him get a cup of coffee with the big-league club before the year ends, but it also wouldn't be a shocker if he finishes the season on the farm for additional seasoning. Regardless, Carroll should be able to make an impact in 2023 for fantasy managers. If promoted, redraft managers should rush to pick him up. In dynasty leagues, Carroll should already be rostered.

Thu Jul 21 202210:17Corbin Carroll Continues To Provide High Upside
Arizona Diamondbacks outfield prospect Corbin Carroll hasn't missed a beat since his promotion to Triple-A Reno. Carroll has only had 15 at-bats thus far for Reno, but he has homered in two of those. The talented outfielder was dominant in Double-A with 16 homers, 39 RBI and 20 stolen bases and that led to his recent promotion. Arguably the best prospect in the game, Carroll will continue to develop in Triple-A. With the Diamondbacks in a rebuild mode, there is no guarantee Carroll sniffs the big leagues this year, but it also wouldn't be a surprise if he gets a promotion this season. Carroll should be rostered in all formats with his high upside. Regardless, the Diamondbacks future outfield of Carroll, Alek Thomas and Druw Jones is shaping up to be one of the best in a long time.

Mon Apr 25 202212:57Corbin Carroll Transitioning Well From Shoulder Surgery
Arizona Diamondbacks outfield prospect Corbin Carroll stayed hot with a 3-for-4 performance for Double-A Amarillo on Sunday. Carroll drew a walk and hit a solo home run in the contest. For the year, Carroll is now hitting .380 with a 1.200 OPS. He has also hit three home runs with eight RBI and five stolen bases on the season. Missing the bulk of the 2021 campaign with shoulder surgery, Carroll hasn't missed a beat in the early going. One of the more athletic prospects in the game, the outfielder draws plenty of contact at the dish and his speed allows him to be one of the best base stealers in the minors. Drafted at age 19, Carroll didn't enter his professional career as a highly touted power hitter, but as his body has filled, there is a good chance that his power numbers can increase. The Diamondbacks have plenty of holes on their big-league roster, but it is more likely that Carroll makes an impact in 2023 versus 2022. A name to file away in redraft leagues, Carroll remains an intriguing option that managers in dynasty leagues should start to consider.

Thu Feb 24 202213:12Corbin Carroll Fully Recovered From Surgery
Arizona Diamondbacks outfield prospect Corbin Carroll (shoulder) is a "full-go" for all baseball activities, according to Diamondbacks reporter Zach Buchanan. Carroll underwent surgery on his shoulder early last season and has been working his way back ever since. The 21-year-old is one of the team's top prospects, often regarded as their No. 1 overall prospect. In his last extended minor league stint in 2019, he slashed .299/.409/.487 over 42 Single-A games, compiling two home runs, 18 stolen bases, 20 RBI and 36 runs. We likely won't see him in the majors until 2023.
