Thu Sep 25 201415:39Fuld out of lineup Thursday against Rangers
Fuld is out of the lineup Thursday against the Rangers, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Fuld has played in every game since August 25, but he'll sit out Thursday as Oakland goes with Josh Reddick, Coco Crisp and Brandon Moss in the starting outfield.
Tue Sep 2 201416:54Fuld out of lineup Tuesday against Mariners
Fuld is out of the lineup Tuesday against the Mariners, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Fuld has started five of the last six games for Oakland, but he'll head to the bench Tuesday with left-hander James Paxton toeing the rubber for Seattle. Fuld hit just .244/.295/.341 in August, and while he figures to continue seeing starts against right-handers, his opportunities may be scaled back a bit over the final month with Craig Gentry healthy.
Thu Aug 28 201406:25Fuld 3-5 with double, run and two RBI Wednesday versus Astros
Fuld went 3-for-5 with a double, a run and two RBI Wednesday versus the Astros.
Fuld made a strong return to the lineup after an outfield collision caused him to miss some time earlier this week. The 32-year-old is slashing .261/.343/.367 with 17 steals in 264 at-bats on the season.
Wed Aug 27 201416:39Fuld (knee) back in lineup Wednesday against Astros
Fuld (knee) is back in the lineup Wednesday against the Astros, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
A knee contusion, the result of a collision with the outfield wall Sunday, kept Fuld out of the lineup for the first two games of the Houston series but he was able to come off the bench for a pinch-hit appearance Tuesday. Fuld will carry his .249/.338/.339 season batting line against right-handed pitching into Wednesday's contest against right-hander Brad Peacock, whom he's yet to face in his career.
Tue Aug 26 201417:16Fuld (knee) remains out of lineup Tuesday against Astros
Fuld (knee) remains out of the lineup Tuesday against the Astros.
Fuld hurt his left knee in a collision with the outfield wall Sunday, but he was able to stay in the game and was spotted running without issue prior to Monday's contest. He almost certainly would have sat Tuesday with lefty Dallas Keuchel on the hill for Houston anyway, so it's uncertain to what extent the knee issue is still bothering Fuld, but consider him day-to-day until he returns to the field.

Fuld is experiencing some discomfort in his left knee after he ran into a wall in Sunday's game against the Angels, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Fuld was able to stay in the game after the collision, and didn't seem too concerned about the injury while he was running prior to Monday's game. He'll be out of the lineup for the team's series opener with the Astros, but should be available off the bench.
Mon Aug 11 201415:35Fuld out of lineup Monday at Kansas City
Fuld is out of the lineup Monday at Kansas City.
Since arriving in Oakland at the trade deadline, Fuld has tallied hits in seven of nine appearances, batting .229 (8-for-35) with six runs scored, four stolen bases, and three walks versus seven strikeouts. He'll hand over center field to Coco Crisp, while John Jaso slots in as the designated hitter.
Tue Aug 5 201413:30Fuld 2-5 with two stolen bases in Monday night's games against R...
Fuld was 2-for-5 with two stolen bases in Monday night's games against the Rays.
Fuld has been leading off for the A's since his trade to the team, but it appears Coco Crisp is close to being ready to play. When he is starting, Fuld has some decent value for runs and stolen bases, but if Crisp can get back to starting every day, Fuld will lose just about all of his value. If Crisp were to have a setback, Fuld would then be a nice add in deeper leagues for anyone needing steals to move up in the standings.
Thu Jul 31 201411:11Sam Fuld: Shipped Back To Oakland
The Twins traded Fuld to the A's on Thursday for left-hander Tommy Milone, Jon Morosi of FOX Sports reports.
Fuld will rejoin the A's, with whom he played seven games in April before being designated for assignment, as Milone heads north to bolster the Twins' rotation. In 60 games in total, Fuld has hit .263/.356/.366 with two homers and 13 steals. He'll likely be a part of Oakland's outfield rotation, seeing starts in center when Coco Crisp (neck) is out or in the corner spots depending on the matchups. Yoenis Cespedes was traded to the Red Sox earlier Thursday.
Thu Jul 31 201411:05A's acquire Sam Fuld from Twins for Milone
Athletics acquired OF Sam Fuld from the Twins for LHP Tommy Milone.
Fuld isn't much of a hitter, but he can play all around the outfield and that's useful to Oakland in the wake of Thursday's trade that sent Yoenis Cespedes to the Red Sox for Jon Lester and Jonny Gomes. Fuld is not fantasy-relevant.

Tue Jul 29 201415:58A's looking at OFs, including Twins' Fuld
Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports that the Athletics are looking at numerous outfield options, including Sam Fuld of the Twins.
Fuld had a brief stint with the Athletics earlier this season and the club is looking for some outfield depth given the health of Coco Crisp (neck) and Craig Gentry (hand). The 32-year-old has played well since joining the Twins, but it likely wouldn't take much to acquire him.

Sun Jul 27 201417:03Fuld has two RBI, stolen base in win Sunday
Sam Fuld went 2-for-3 with two RBI and a stolen base in Sunday's win over the White Sox.
After a fast start with the Twins, Fuld has slowed down after the All-Star break -- he was just 2-for-18 in the games leading up to Sunday. The stolen base was his 13th in 16 attempts this year. The 32-year-old is batting .261/.350/.367 as should continue to be in the outfield rotation for the Twins going forward.

Fri Jul 11 201401:27Fuld gets on base three times versus Mariners
Sam Fuld reached base three times for the third consecutive game on Thursday against Seattle.
He finished 1-for-2 with two walks, a steal and a run scored. Fuld doesn't want to leave Seattle. He went 5-for-10 (.500) with four walks, a homer, three steals, two RBI and three runs scored as the Twins took three of four. If you need a center fielder in your AL-only league, Fuld is probably your best free agent bet at the moment. He won't keep raking like this -- he's hit safely in nine of 10 -- but Fuld will draw the occasional walk and steal bases as long as he's in the lineup.

Thu Jul 10 201401:39Fuld gets on base three times versus Mariners
Sam Fuld reached base three times, drove in a run and scored another in Wednesday's 8-1 blowout at Seattle's expense.
He finished 1-for-2 with a pair of walks. Fuld is 13-for-29 (.448) over his past nine games, and he's accrued a multi-hit game in four of his last seven. He doesn't have the tools to be a consistent contributor in even AL-only leagues, but he can be started by those without better options in that format as long as he's hot and receiving everyday at-bats.

Wed Jul 9 201400:52Fuld has monster game to sink Mariners
Sam Fuld singled twice, homered and swiped two bases in Tuesday's 2-0 win against the Mariners.
Fuld failed to reel in Michael Saunders' round tripper on Monday, but he made up for it a day later, taking Chris Young over the right field fence in the fifth inning. Fuld finished 3-for-3 as a one-man wrecking crew. He's hit safely in seven of his last eight games to raise his batting average from .214 to .253. Fuld has enough speed to be usable in AL-only formats when he's starting -- tonight's steals were his ninth and 10th in 45 games -- but he doesn't make consistent contact, and rarely lifts the ball when he does. This was only his seventh career round-tripper.

Sam Fuld (concussion) is expected to be activated by the end of the week if he continues to have no issues on his rehab assignment.

"The team had an off-day today, but he'll continue tomorrow on his rehab. He's had no side effects. No headaches. No problems."

Mon Jun 2 201419:30Fuld progressing in concussion recovery
Sam Fuld (concussion) will take batting practice with the Twins on Wednesday.
The backup outfielder has been out since May 8. He's progressed nicely in his recovery and has been able to participate in full baseball activities as of late. He'll take batting practice Wednesday prior to Minnesota's game against Milwaukee. There's still no timetable for his return.
