Mon Mar 12 201214:35Ryan Sweeney pulled with left quad strain
Ryan Sweeney was pulled from Monday's Grapefruit League game against the Marlins with a left quad strain.
Sweeney was 0-for-1 in the contest and is now 1-for-12 for the spring. The 26-year-old is expected to see a considerable chunk of the playing time in right field this year in Boston after being acquired alongside Andrew Bailey in a December trade with the A's. This quad issue may set Sweeney back a couple of days, but it's still early enough for him to heal in time for the start of the season.
