Tue May 17 202215:36Bryce Harper Not Playing Tuesday
Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper is not in the starting lineup on Tuesday against the San Diego Padres. Harper will miss his second straight game as he continues to receive platelet-rich plasma injections for his injured right elbow. Despite serving as the designated hitter and playing through pain, the 29-year-old continues to swing a hot bat, as he's slashing .396/.434/.917 with a 1.351 OPS, six home runs, 13 RBI, 12 runs scored and three stolen bases in 12 games in the month of May. When Harper rejoins the lineup, get him back into all starting fantasy lineups. Nick Castellanos is serving as the designated hitter on Tuesday and is batting cleanup against Padres right-hander Mike Clevinger, with Odubel Herrera in right field and batting sixth.

Sun May 15 202213:50Bryce Harper To Sit Out On Sunday
Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper (rest) is out of the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Harper will get a much deserved day off after collecting three hits on Saturday. The 29-year-old is playing through partially torn UCL. That being said, there could be more rest days for Harper in the future, so the Phillies can make sure this doesn't become a bigger issue.

Thu May 12 202221:53Bryce Harper Has A UCL Tear
Philadelphia Phillies manager Joe Girardi said that the team had another test done on outfielder Bryce Harper (elbow) last week that showed a small tear in his UCL. Dr. ElAttrache confirmed the small tear on Thursday morning. Harper will be shut down from throwing for four weeks, with the hope that he'll resume a throwing program after that. The 29-year-old has been the exclusive designated hitter since April 17 because of the injury, and that will through at least the middle of June. Harper will receive a platelet-rich plasma injection this weekend, and he will sit out of the lineup on Sunday against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Fantasy managers have to be thankful for the universal DH this year. Otherwise, Harper would be on the 60-day injured list, most likely.

Thu May 12 202209:37Bryce Harper Swipes Three Bags In Series Against Mariners
Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper had a fantastic three-game series against the Seattle Mariners this week. He went 6-for-11 for two doubles, two walks and three runs scored. Most surprisingly, he attempted three stolen bases in the series and was successful on each occasion. The 29-year-old now has six stolen bases over 31 games on the year, putting him on a 162-game pace of slightly more than 30 steals. Last year, he only attempted 16 stolen bases over 141 games (successfully stealing 13 bags). We'd bet heavily on his steal rate decreasing the rest of the way in 2022, but the stolen bags thus far have certainly been a nice bonus for fantasy managers at the very least.

Wed May 4 202209:56Bryce Harper Goes 0-For-4 In Tuesday's Loss
Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper went 0-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts in the team's 6-4 loss to the Texas Rangers on Tuesday. The 29-year-old is currently in the midst of a bit of a slump at the plate. In this past weekend's series against the New York Mets, he managed just one hit over 11 at-bats. Luckily, that one hit was a solo home run. Over 24 games on the season, Harper is slashing .242/.304/.473 with four home runs, three stolen bases, 15 RBI and 18 runs scored. Fantasy managers should expect to see better numbers soon as he's carrying some impressive underlying stats such as a 53% hard-hit rate (91st percentile), 113.8 mph max exit velocity (95th percentile) and .572 xSLG (88th percentile).

Tue Apr 26 202222:59Bryce Harper's Throwing Session Doesn't Go Well
Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper (elbow) said he didn't feel great after playing catch on Tuesday in right field. The Phillies will re-evaluate him on Wednesday, but there is no timetable for when Harper will return to right field. The good news is he won't need to go on the injured list, since he can continue to serve as the designated hitter for now. The 29-year-old hasn't played the field since April 16 due to a right elbow injury, and he will play exclusively at DH until at least May 3. Last year's National League MVP continues to swing the bat well despite his elbow injury, as he has an .870 OPS, two home runs, six RBI and six runs scored in eight games as the Phillies DH. Nick Castellanos and Kyle Schwarber will continue to see more time in the outfield with Harper injured.

Mon Apr 25 202215:28Bryce Harper To Test His Arm Tuesday
Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper (elbow) is scheduled to test his injured right elbow on Tuesday by throwing in a pre-game workout in Philadelphia. However, even in a best-case scenario, it's doubtful that Harper will play defense this week, according to manager Joe Girardi. The team will want him to increase the intensity and distance of his throws before putting him back in the outfield in a game. Harper, who was diagnosed with an elbow strain, will continue to be the designated hitter for four games at home this week against the Colorado Rockies and a three-game weekend series against the division-rival New York Mets. He's been the DH for seven straight games, including Sunday night against the Milwaukee Brewers. When Harper is healthy, Kyle Schwarber and Nick Castellanos will see most of the DH at-bats.

Fri Apr 22 202215:26Bryce Harper Has Mild Strain, Will Continue To DH
Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper's (elbow) MRI exam showed a mild strain of his right elbow, and he won't throw again until next Tuesday. However, he will continue to serve as the designated hitter and bat third on Friday against Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Freddy Peralta. If the DH weren't available in the National League, Harper would've needed a trip to the injured list. The 29-year-old superstar hasn't played in the field since last Saturday, but he'll make his fifth straight start as the DH to open the series with Milwaukee. Harper has only 11 hits in his first 58 plate appearances, but he does have two home runs, 10 RBI and a stolen base, so fantasy managers must keep him in their daily lineups.

Mon Apr 18 202218:43Bryce Harper Playing Through Elbow Soreness
Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper (elbow) is currently dealing with right elbow soreness. According to Phillies manager Joe Girardi, the soreness isn't affecting Harper at the plate. It's only a nuisance when Harper is throwing from the outfield. The 29-year-old played designated hitter on Sunday and he will continue to play designated hitter during the team's three-game series against the Colorado Rockies, which begins on Monday. The reigning NL MVP is slashing .216/.333/.486 with two home runs, nine RBI and nine runs through 10 games on the year. He's slotting in as the team's No. 2 hitter for Monday's contest.

Sun Apr 10 202218:28Bryce Harper Goes Hitless In Loss To The A's
Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper went 0-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts in a 4-1 loss to the Oakland Athletics on Sunday. The Phillies couldn't get much of anything going against A's starter Daulton Jefferies and company. They mustered just three hits as a team and didn't get on the scoreboard until the bottom of the ninth inning. Harper has just one hit so far this season and holds a .091/.231/.182 triple-slash line with just one RBI. The reigning NL MVP will be just fine moving forward and there is zero reason to panic three games into the season. He should be able to get things going against Taijuan Walker and the Mets as the Phillies open up a three-game set with their division rival on Monday.

Fri Mar 11 202212:38Bryce Harper Stumping For Kris Bryant
Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper, who won the National League MVP last year, is stumping for free-agent third baseman Kris Bryant, who is one of his good friends and neighbor in Las Vegas. The Phillies have plenty of needs and also options in free agency, and Bryant can fit at either the hot corner or in the outfield. The Seattle Mariners, Colorado Rockies, San Diego Padres and New York Mets could be fits for Bryant if he isn't swayed to Philadelphia by Harper. The 30-year-old four-time All-Star and 2016 MVP hit .262/.344/.444 with seven home runs and 22 RBI in 212 plate appearances over 51 games in 2021 after being acquired in a trade with the Chicago Cubs. In total, Bryant hit .265/.353/.481 with 25 homers, 73 RBI and 10 stolen bases in 144 games.

Mon Feb 21 202214:27Bryce Harper Continues To Produce At An Elite Level
Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper enjoyed another highly productive season in 2021, hitting .309 with a .429 on-base percentage, 35 home runs, and 13 stolen bases in 599 plate appearances. He also added 84 RBI and 101 runs scored while taking home National League MVP honors. Harper has now hit at least 34 home runs while stealing a minimum of 13 bases in each of his last three full seasons. He'll continue to bat in the top third of a quality Phillies lineup that will also include J.T. Realmuto, Jean Segura, and Rhys Hoskins and should be a first-round pick in most leagues.

Thu Nov 18 202118:22Bryce Harper Wins National League MVP
Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper was named the Most Valuable Player of the National League Thursday. Harper received 17 first-place votes, finishing ahead of Juan Soto and Fernando Tatis Jr. in second and third, respectively. Harper slashed .309/.429/.615 with 35 homers, 13 steals, 101 runs, and 84 RBI in 588 plate appearances this season, almost single-handedly keeping the Phillies on the edges of the playoff race. He led the league in both slugging percentage and OPS. This is the second MVP win of Harper's career.

Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper went 3-for-5 with a homer and a double to help power the Phillies to a 5-0 win over the Marlins. The blast was Harper's 39th of the season as he continues to make his MVP case despite the Phillies being eliminated from postseason contention earlier in the week. Sat Sep 25 202122:09Bryce Harper Blasts 34th Homer In Win Over Pirates
Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in a win over Pittsburgh on Saturday. The homer was Harper's 34th of the season as he's now hit at least 34 bombs in the last three full MLB seasons (he hit 13 in the 60-game 2020 season). The homer was also Harper's 46th extra-base hit since the All-Star break, a Phillies franchise record for extra-base hits in the second half of the season. No matter how you slice it, Harper has been incredible for the Phillies and fantasy managers alike. Keep him locked into starting lineups for one more versus the Bucs before a huge three-game set in Atlanta.

Fri Sep 17 202110:26Bryce Harper Homers Again To Pad His MVP Case
Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper had another monster game on Thursday as he launched a three-run homer and had two doubles in a wild 17-8 win over the Cubs. Harper is among the hottest hitters on the planet; over his last 22 games, the NL MVP candidate has 10 homers, 10 doubles, 26 RBI, and a 1.434 OPS as he's doing all he can to drag the Phillies to the postseason. This hot streak couldn't come at a better time for fantasy managers as Harper is sure to be on a bunch of championship rosters given his torrid second-half pace. The Mets pitching staff is the next crew faced with the daunting task of getting Harper out.

Wed Sep 15 202123:02Bryce Harper Remains Hot On Wednesday
Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper continued his torrid play on Wednesday, collecting two more hits during a 6-5 victory over the Chicago Cubs. The 28-year-old finished the night 2-for-3 with a double, walk and a run scored. The six-time All-Star has been unreal over the past 30 days, posting 11 HR, 27 RBI, 22 R, and a stolen base with a .346/.457/.760 line across 104 at-bats. Fantasy managers have been rewarded with one of Harper's best and well-rounded seasons during his 10-year career. Harper is seeking his second NL MVP and is currently in a two-horse race with San Diego Padres outfielder/shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. for the award. The slugger has increased his chances of being a first-round pick in redraft leagues next season and is still a terrific option in dynasty formats as he is in the midst of his prime.

Fri Sep 10 202111:08Bryce Harper Belts 30th Homer Of Season On Thursday
Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper went 2-for-4 with a solo homer in a loss to the Rockies on Thursday. Harper launched a first-inning homer off of Rockies starter Antonio Senzatela for his 30th round-tripper of the season. The NL MVP candidate has now hit at least 30 homers in the last three full seasons and has reached that plateau for the fourth time in his career. This season, Harper is slashing an eye-popping .305/.417/.602 to go with 84 runs and 69 RBI as he's been one of the most reliable players in fantasy all season long. He'll look to add to his home run total with three more solid matchups with the Rockies over the weekend.

Mon Sep 6 202117:24Bryce Harper Jacks 28th Homer Of Season Monday In Milwaukee
Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in a win over the Brewers on Labor Day. Harper got the scoring started in the first inning, taking Brewers starter Brandon Woodruff deep to dead-center to put the visitors up 2-0. Statcast measured the blast at 107.6 MPH off the bat with a projected distance of 426 feet. What does that mean for fantasy? Nothing in particular, but it was an impressive blast we're running out of superlatives for the NL-MVP candidate. Harper is batting .303 this season with 28 homers while leading the National League with a healthy 1.008 OPS. Keep Harper locked into fantasy lineups despite more tough matchups in Milwaukee up next.
